Chapter 24: Chapter 24: Punishment

It was the very same girl she had long, flowing black hair that cascaded elegantly down to her waist.

Her dark eyes sparkled like precious gems, as it look at making him almost feel deeply from those.

She now wore a crisp school uniform, which is a light blue blouse tucked into a navy-blue pleated skirt, neatly cinched with a black belt.

It hugged her figure just enough to accentuate her natural allure without being overdone.

On the left chest of her blouse, a small embroidered crest read "Benedrix Junction Institute of Technology,".

"She’s actually a student at BJIT? That’s a surprise," Jeff thought to himself.

His school and BJIT were always in competition, especially during annual events and contests.

However, his school only managed to win in the parade showdown and occasionally in the quiz bowl, while they consistently lost in all the other categories.

Especially during CodeConvergence, BJIT was dominant, as the school placed a strong emphasis on computer education when teaching students.

This focus consistently earned them first place. Jeff knew that if he ever decided to join, he would win easily, but he had no plans to do so, as it would risk exposing his skills.

Months ago, his school performed so poorly that they did not even make it into the top five in most competitions.

Aside from winning the parade, everything else ended in defeat, even in the quiz bowl, where their loss was particularly humiliating.

"Good morning," Jeff greeted with a smile, looking her in the eye.

Hearing his voice, the girl couldn’t help but feel a slight stir within her, causing her to tremble slightly.

"Good morning as well," she replied with a smile, then quickly descended the stairs, knowing that she was already late.

As she reached the bottom of the stairs, the girl held her chest with a slight frown.

"Why am I feeling like this? This feels really strange," she murmured.

Her expression quickly returned to its usual coldness as she left the boarding house.

Jeff also stepped out and noticed that his aunt was nowhere to be found. Since the weather was hot, he decided to take a ride and headed to Gaisano.

He dined at Jollibee, having missed the taste of their chicken. As he took a bite, he couldn’t help but tear up.

"Having money is really the best," Jeff thought to himself.

In the past, he had to be cautious with his spending, since running out of money meant facing the embarrassment of asking for more.

But now, as a millionaire, he could spend freely without worry.

Feeling full, he wandered around the mall for a while. After that, he left and returned to the boarding house.

"Where did Aunt Rose go?" he wondered, noticing she still wasn’t home.

Thinking she must have gone out for something important, Jeff headed to his room.

After taking a shower and putting on his school uniform, he noticed his pants were still the same.

He touched his jaw thoughtfully.

"I forgot to get get a pair of pants. I should buy two or three when I get back," he muttered.

Once he was finished preparing, he checked the time. It was 11:43, meaning the morning class had already ended thirteen minutes ago.

Since it was lunchtime, he took a ride to his school. Upon arriving, he went inside and headed to his classroom.

He saw his classmates eating their lunch, and in the right corner, he spotted his friends gathered together, sharing a meal.

Jeff walked over and sat beside them. Seeing him, they greeted him casually, already used to his occasional absences from morning classes, even though it was just rarely.

"Were there any new pointers earlier this morning?" Jeff asked.

"Yes, just one, though. I’ll let you copy it later after I’m done. Other than that, the class was relatively boring," Mark replied.

Once they finished eating, Mark handed Jeff the notes, and he began copying them.

While he did that, his three friends played a game of Mobile Legends. When Jeff finished, he simply watched their gameplay to pass the time.

When the three finished playing, they began chatting, making jokes, and enjoying each other’s company. That was when Mark brought something up.

"Hey, leader," he said jokingly, "are you done with the AI thingy already? Ma’am Eve said she’d be checking it. If you’re not finished yet, it’s totally fine, since we still have plenty of time to change the title of our study."

"Yeah, is it done?" Andre asked, while Lester glanced at Jeff, also waiting for a response.

Jeff simply smiled and chuckled, "You’ll find out later, hehe."

His mysterious tone only sparked more curiosity. The three tried to get him to spill the details, but Jeff didn’t want to ruin the surprise.

They felt like beating him up for keeping them in suspense, but in the end, they decided to wait, knowing he would show it to their teacher later anyway.

After some time, the teacher finally arrived. She was their instructor for General Mathematics.

The class settled down and listened as she began writing some formulas on the board and explaining the solutions.

Jeff stared at the blackboard, trying to focus, until he eventually dozed off.

In his dream, he found himself peacefully sleeping in his room, completely undisturbed by the world.

That was until someone began pinching his upper arm, abruptly waking him.

He opened his eyes and glared at Mark, who was giving him the look beside him.

"Are you blind? Can’t you see I’m sleeping?" Jeff growled in a low voice.

Mark, who was about to say something, quickly swallowed his words and looked past Jeff toward someone standing beside him.

"Huh? Where are you looking?" Jeff asked as he turned his head, only to see his teacher standing right there.

Ms. Lovella stared at him with a cold expression. freewebnσvel.cøm

"If Student Mark is blind, then aren’t you even more blind for sleeping without realizing there was a teacher in front of you?" she reprimanded sharply.

Jeff quickly sat up straight as the entire class fell silent, with all the eyes are on him.

Embarrassment crept in since he had stayed up very late the night before, leaving him utterly exhausted.

"Sorry, teacher. It won’t happen again," he said softly, his head bowed.

"If you’re really sorry, then go ahead and solve the problem on the board," Ms. Lovella said firmly.

"If you can’t solve it, you’ll stand in front of the class until the period ends."

Jeff stood up quickly, silently cursing himself for falling asleep. He had completely forgotten how strict his math teacher was.

If Mrs. Eve was the strictest, then Ms. Lovella was certainly second in line among the most feared teachers in the school.

As Jeff approached the board, he glanced at the problem and realized he had already solved it in his mind, it was literally an easy one for him.

Having lived a second life with experience and deeper understanding of such topics, he confidently began to solve the problem on the board.
