Madam Wants To Divorce Her Second Husband-Chapter 116
Chapter 116: Chapter 116
[Song Recommendation: Billie Eilish - No Time To Die.]
Sebastian turned his body instinctively, and he paled instantly when he saw Winter standing at her door, staring at him with the same shocked face.
He got up instantly, facing Winter who was still staring at him unblinkingly.
"W-why are you up so late, love? You should be sleeping by now," Sebastian said, but Winter was unresponsive. So he tried to approach her. "You must be sleepy, just go to bed, we have to get ready for another big day tomorrow, right? It’s been hectic in the office."
Sebastian tried touching Winter’s hand, but the latter slapped his hand immediately, "Who did you call just now, Sebastian?"
"I-It’s no one. It’s just one of the contractors I need to call for the resort development with Lucien," Sebastian replied, though he knew that Winter wouldn’t believe it. So he tried a different method. "Winter, you need to sleep. It’s not good for your health."
"Do you think of me as an idiot? WHO IS THAT PERSON YOU CALLED JUST NOW?!" Winter snapped, and Sebastian’s heartbeat began to race.
His knees were actually shaking under his trousers, as he was scared that his beautiful life with Winter in this timeline would just disappear in the blink of an eye.
Yet, Sebastian kept the composure in his face as he replied, "It’s my informant."
"And what is he doing in Camilla’s office? Why are you planting a mole to trap your mother?" Winter continued interrogating. A really bad feeling dawned upon her because there was no way Sebastian would actually go against his mother without any real reason.
Sebastian knew there was no more escape for him, so he replied calmly this time, "I want to collect all the information about her crime, so I can bring her to the high court since the police are also corrupt."
"And why are you doing that? What makes you want to do that to your mother?"
Sebastian went quiet with that question. He stared at Winter whose eyes already told everything he needed to know.
To put it simply, Winter wouldn’t believe any lies he spouted. His racing heartbeat slowly slowed down as he knew his end was here.
He stared dead in her eyes and replied emotionlessly, "She also ruined my life after your death, Winter Saenz."
...
...
...
There was a long silence between them, and Winter’s face paled instantly as she found out this was the same Sebastian who pushed her to the edge by ruining her life.
All this time, she thought that she could live a normal life with this version of Sebastian who was kind to her.
She took a step back spontaneously, and when Sebastian wanted to take a step forward, she yelled, "STAY RIGHT THERE!"
Sebastian halted his step. He stood with a bone-chilling stare at Winter as he was unsure what to do right now.
"I’m sorry for what I’ve done, Winter."
"Sorry will never be enough, Sebastian Saenz! You ruined my life!" Winter yelled. "You deserve to suffer just like I did!"
"Yes, I’ve suffered, though not as bad as you," Sebastian said. "After your death, I was overridden with guilt and fell into deep depression. I spent my days grieving over you, and as my performance in the company worsened, Camilla simply replaced me with her new boyfriend as the CEO. I killed myself with a gunshot in the chest."
"Now that I’ve been reborn with you, I’m searching for the identity of my mom’s new boyfriend as well, so I can get my revenge on them both... and to fix the damage that I’ve done to you..." Sebastian added.
"LIAR! You cheated on me! You must’ve been living your best life after my death!" Winter was trying to act tough, but the horror she experienced under Camilla’s suppression and Sebastian’s ignorance was enough to break her. Thus, her tears began to well up despite her putting up a tough face. "You are a monster, Sebastian!"
...
Sebastian clenched his fists. He wanted to tell Winter that it was all because he was too scared of his mother in his previous life, but then he realized it only made him even more pathetic.
So, he went straight to the point and asked, "What can I do to make it up to you?"
"Make it up for me? HAH!" Winter laughed. She found it funny because she couldn’t think of any that could make up for all the pain she had experienced. However, she was angry and vengeful at this bastard who ruined her life.
"I will do anything. You can beat me as much as you want if it will quench your rage," Sebastian said firmly. In the end, there was nothing that he could do to amend. So he was ready for whatever punishment Winter wanted to make. "If you want everything I have, I will give it to you as well."
"That’s funny because, in our previous life, all I wanted was for you to treat me kindly. Yet, I couldn’t have that," Winter sneered. "It’s too late, Sebastian. Nothing that you have will make me forgive you."
Sebastian finally lowered his head in shame. He truly had nothing else other than money and his body, both of which Winter didn’t need at all.
Winter saw the dejected look on Sebastian’s face, and there was a sliver of pity in her heart.
Yet, that pity was quickly washed up as she was reminded of what he did. All his ignorance and cheating were enough to grant her a lifetime of hatred towards this bastard.
"Do you want my forgiveness?" Winter asked, and Sebastian lifted his head immediately. He nodded with a glint of hope in his eyes, and Winter couldn’t wait to crush him.
"Oh, it’s so easy to get my forgiveness, Sebastian Saenz," Winter pointed at the balcony and said in a cold voice, "Jump from that balcony, and I will forgive you once I see your body turned into paste as you hit the concrete ground."
