Madam Wants To Divorce Her Second Husband-Chapter 117
Chapter 117: Chapter 117
[Trigger Warning: Upsetting scene.]
Sebastian stared at Winter with a look of disbelief. He kept staring at her without speaking a single word, but the disappointment in his eyes was quite easy to tell, especially because Winter craved that disappointment and grief.
She scoffed seeing him standing like a statue in front of her, "What now? Got cold feet?"
Sebastian’s lips thinned, and he nodded firmly while clenching his fists.
"If that’s what you want, then I will do it," Sebastian said. "I just hope you can live a good life after my death, Winter Saenz."
...
"Then, do it now," Winter said coldly, and Sebastian turned around.
His steps were heavy as he knew he was facing death. Truthfully, he didn’t want to leave so early from this world, because he thought that he could be a better tool for his wife.
He could be used to take revenge on Camilla, he could also be used to stabilize the company.
In fact, he could be more than willing to go to jail for her.
But if none of those would appease her rage, then so be it. He lived and died for her beloved wife in this world anyway.
Winter followed him from behind as they walked to the balcony. Her intense gaze could burn a hole in Sebastian’s body, but all she wanted was for Sebastian to finally fall on his knees and cry like a little bitch.
Yet, even after he slid the balcony door open, and stepped into the balcony, he still hadn’t fallen on his knees.
His broad shoulder looked firm but lonely, and as he stood in front of the railing, he looked over his shoulder, waiting for Winter’s order.
Winter crossed her arms, but still didn’t change her mind, "Finally got a cold feet now? Well, that means you are never going to be pardoned. I’ve suffered hard enough until there’s no way out for me. So I jumped from this balcony to my death."
Honestly, Sebastian wasn’t scared of death.
He already died once by shooting himself in the chest.
He was just scared that he wouldn’t be able to meet Winter again in their next life—if there was any.
Nevertheless, he knew there was no way out now.
So he murmured, "I’m sorry for everything, Winter... my wife..."
Sebastian climbed the railing and stared down.
Surprisingly, now that he was in Winter’s position, the only thing on his mind was her horrible corpse lying on the concrete... if you could even call it a corpse.
Her body hit the ground so hard that everything simply scattered, including the baby in her stomach. When Sebastian saw it for the first time, he was in so much shock that it became an occurring nightmare for him.
It was also one of the triggers of his deep depression, as he kept thinking about the pain that Winter suffered before her death.
’Well, I’m about to find out now,’ Sebastian thought as he closed his eyes, ready to lean forward and fall to his death.
Yet, one second before he leaned, he felt someone grabbing his shirt and pulling him until he fell back to the balcony.
Sebastian winced as he hit the balcony floor, he looked up and saw Winter staring down at him with tears dropping from the corner of her eyes.
"Are you fucking insane?!" Winter yelled at him, and yet, he kept on staring at her in confusion. "You’d die horribly if I didn’t pull you in just now!"
"Yes, isn’t that what you want?" Sebastian asked. "I told you that I would do anything to gain your forgiveness, and if that’s the only way, then I don’t mind at all."
"Are you an idiot? What if you die without being reborn for the second time?!"
"Then I will probably go to hell. This place is already hell without your forgiveness, Winter Saenz," Sebastian said calmly. "I have no reason to live in this world except for you. I want to fix all my mistakes."
Winter was frustrated right now and she didn’t even know what she wanted.
Obviously, she was the one who told Sebastian to jump from the balcony, but when Sebastian was actually about to do it, she changed her mind.
Not because she loved him, but because she didn’t want to be the cause of someone’s death.
Thus, Winter turned around and returned inside. Sebastian quickly got up and followed from behind, "Winter, please, tell me what you want. I’m ready to do anything."
Winter stayed silent until he called her name again, "Winter, I—"
"I want a divorce, Sebastian Saenz," Winter replied curtly. She turned to face him again and said, "I want you out of my life immediately!"
...
Sebastian fell into silence again, but this time, it was obvious that he was heartbroken. Strangely, the aching in his heart was even worse now than when Winter told him to jump from the balcony.
"If... if you want to divorce me, then I will accept it. You can remove me from the CEO position, and you don’t need to give me anything in return after our divorce," Sebastian said. This time, his voice was weaker, as in truth, he didn’t want to divorce her. He wished there was a way to fix their broken relationship, but he wouldn’t cling to a false hope. "I will sign the divorce paper. But please, wait for me to take down my mother first. She will quickly realize something is wrong between us, and it might be difficult to put her in jail. Please let me work on this mega project with Lucien LeBlanc, so the company will stabilize after I leave."
Winter sneered, "What next? You will take over all of my assets while I wasn’t looking, and then leave me penniless?"
"I will never do that. After I do everything as promised, I will take a no-contest divorce and leave quietly," Sebastian replied. "I just don’t want to leave you while you’re vulnerable."
