Madam Wants To Divorce Her Second Husband-Chapter 49
Chapter 49: Chapter 49
Winter had another weird dream involving Aiden.
She was standing on the balcony, rubbing her stomach as she was about to make the jump to end her and her son’s life so they could escape their misery.
But as she put her hand on the balcony railing, she suddenly felt a warm hand hugging her from behind.
She immediately knew who it was.
She had spent years with this man, and he embraced her almost every night as they fell asleep.
Yet, she still couldn’t get enough of it.
"Aiden..." Winter murmured as she gently rested her head on his chest. "Do you know what I’m going to do next?"
"Yes," Aiden replied. Winter noticed the heaviness in his voice, indicating that Aiden wasn’t happy with her decision.
Winter chuckled. "Why are you mad at me? I’m at my breaking point, Aiden. That bastard stole everything from me and left me broken-hearted with a baby that will be born unloved."
"Besides, I’m doing this because I want to join you in heaven. Though, I’m not sure if a sinner like, who commits suicide, would have a place there," Winter sighed. "I’d probably burn in hell for eternity for killing the baby in my womb."
Winter could feel Aiden’s arms tightening around her. She waited for him to comfort her. She knew this was a dream, so the least he could do was to give her some justification for her decision to end her son’s life.
She waited for a while, but Aiden said nothing.
He simply hugged her tighter until Winter gradually sensed something was amiss.
"Why did you leave me, Winter?"
Winter clicked her tongue.
She didn’t know why this scum kept on barging into her dream, "You are not welcome here, Sebastian. Why do you keep ruining my dream like this? Let me have some time with my husband."
"I’m your husband too..." Sebastian said softly. "Why did you leave me, Winter? Why couldn’t you wait for me to come home so we could talk this through? I suffered a lot after you left me alone."
"There’s nothing to talk about, Sebastian Saenz," Winter said. She pointed down at the street. "I think my body should’ve landed right there when I hit the ground. Did you see my corpse, or did you just toss me in the incinerator?"
"I would never do that!" freewebnσvel.cøm
"Yes, you would. You’re Sebastian Saenz. You are the source of my misery," Winter said coldly.
"I... I really was suffering after your death, Winter. I was constantly plagued by nightmares because I regretted everything," Sebastian said. "In the end, I ended my life to be with you. I want to beg for your forgiveness..."
Winter could’ve shut him down, but she didn’t.
As stupid as it sounded, she relished the idea of Sebastian regretting all of his mistakes and trying to fix everything.
’Is it stupid of me to forgive him if this is the real Sebastian?’ Winter asked herself. She knew it was just a dream and everything Sebastian said was a figment of her imagination.
She was just projecting her hope for an ideal man.
She actually wished that Sebastian regretted his mistakes after her death; it would have been even better if he had ended up just like her—ruined and killed himself after suffering endless torment.
Winter knew she wasn’t mentally healthy, and she wouldn’t be surprised if a psychiatrist diagnosed her with severe depression.
But she didn’t care.
All she wanted was to preserve everything Aiden had given her and then live her life alone until her eventual death.
"If that’s what truly happened, then I will forgive you, Sebastian Saenz," Winter said.
"R-really?"
"Yes, but with one condition," Winter paused momentarily and then continued, "You need to let me go. Get the hell out of my life. I don’t want to see your face anymore."
"NO!" Sebastian refused immediately. "I will do anything but that! I can’t endure another life without you. Winter, please give me a chance!"
Winter gently reached to Sebastian’s jaw with her hand. She grabbed her cheek and jaw, then muttered, "I despise you. There is no point in trying."
"I will not stop. You can hurt me whatever you want, but I will not stop trying to get your forgiveness and win your love back," Sebastian vowed firmly before he kissed the top of her head. "I love you, Winter Saenz."
...
...
Winter slowly opened her eyes as the sun hit her face.
She got up and sat on the bed for a while.
She really hated how her dreams were repeatedly disturbed by Sebastian’s appearance. However, she didn’t feel as horrible because the idea of Sebastian begging for forgiveness was actually quite entertaining to her.
’Well, I know he will never do that. But it’s a fantasy that I want to see.’
Winter put on a jacket over her nightdress to cover herself from Sebastian’s perverted eyes.
She left the room and went straight to the kitchen for a glass of water.
’I’m not in the mood to cook, so maybe I’ll just reheat the creamy mushroom soup from last night,’ Winter thought as she stepped into the kitchen.
Winter halted her step when she saw Sebastian wearing her pink apron, which was too small for his broad chest. He was busy making a simple sunny-side-up egg and bacon for breakfast.
They exchanged glances for a second before ignoring each other, which was actually Winter’s preferred interaction.
The less she talked with Sebastian, the more she could detach herself from him.
Winter opened the fridge and frowned as she searched for the bowl of creamy mushroom soup she had stored last night.
’Where did it go? I remember I put it around here...’ Winter thought as she kept searching.
"What’s wrong?" Sebastian asked, feigning ignorance.
Winter ignored him and continued searching until she gave up after another minute.
She closed the fridge and asked Sebastian, "Did you eat the mushroom soup I made last night?"
