Magus Supremacy-Chapter 364: Get Yami!
Chapter 364: Get Yami!
Chapter 364
"Fine! Have it your way. The Clan of the Midnight Sun does not tolerate terrorism, and trying to protect one makes you a terrorist too. Regardless of whether you are a child or not, I don’t care!" the man shouted as he bolted for Millie, moving like a blur that almost nobody could track.
"Millie! Move!" Vanessa shouted as she tried to move forward, when a small explosion occurred, flinging her back a bit with Grey catching her.
The explosion was from the man moving and swinging his palm-fist towards Millie’s face. She tried to move but was too slow when a bang rang out in the town square.
Bang!
"Picking on kids? I thought the Midnight Sun were better than this." A voice was heard as the dust slowly settled, revealing a young man with black hair fluttering in the wind, his yellow eyes fixed on the man in front of him in anger.
"Finral!" Millie shouted in surprise as she could see her elder brother in front of her, holding onto the Midnight Sun member’s fist in his palm. A twitch could be seen on Finral’s face though, the effort showing despite his composure.
"I knew it. That idiot was going to cause our family a huge problem one day." Finral spat as he still kept holding onto the man’s fist.
"Where did you come from?" Vanessa asked with a raised eyebrow, her heart pounding in relief and surprise.
"Does it matter? Take Millie and the fool back home. I’ll handle things here." Finral said as his hands clutched tightly against the man’s fist, veins bulging on his forearms.
"How dare you interrupt justice?!" the man asked in anger, gritting his teeth while staring at Finral.
"Justice? Or foolishness! Just because someone has red hair, you call him a terrorist? And you also tried to attack a seven-year-old kid. That is unacceptable!" Finral roared as he swung the man’s fist away and then sent an explosive punch forward which caused a terrifying bang to resound in the air.
"Fine." The man said, and without stressing himself, he swiftly pulled out his sword that clashed against Finral’s fist.
Clang!
Crack!
A loud clanging sound was heard as Finral’s fist clashed against the sword in front of him while the man was seen skidding backward, fissures running deep across the ground where he’d stood.
"Everybody, clear out. Some spoiled kids need to be taught a lesson!" the man shouted, and everybody began moving away from where the battle was about to take place, while not straying too far though, their eyes locked on the confrontation.
"Kids? Who the hell are you calling a kid?!" Finral roared as he took a single step, and in the next second, he appeared in front of the man with a crushing blow aimed straight at his guts. The man instinctively brought his sword down to block.
Boom!
The sword shattered instantly as the man skidded a few inches back, his shattered sword crumbling down to the ground.
"What was that? An earth tiered weapon? Against me? Tsk! How ridiculous!" Finral shouted as he crouched down a little, and then, with explosive force that made the ground beneath him crack immediately, he leapt into the air and could be seen crashing back down on the man with both hands raised high above him.
Bang!
A cloud of dust rose up as Finral’s hands made contact with the ground, causing a deep crater to form beneath him with the man nowhere to be seen.
"You should have looked at who you were messing with," the man’s voice rang out from behind Finral, and then with a swing of his leg, Finral’s body flew away with tremendous force. He crashed into a stall, bringing it to the ground in a heap of wood and splinters.
"Damn it! How strong is this guy?" Grey cursed as he watched the fight tensely, his fists clenched. But not as tense as the two girls beside him.
"Th... that is the power of Ki. The ability to crush even mountains with your fists. But currently, the amount of Ki you have, the stage you are in, will determine how powerful you would become. And in this case, this man is above Finral in strength," Vanessa commented while she rubbed her hands together in worry, her voice trembling slightly.
"Didn’t brother Finral say we should leave?" Millie asked, her eyes darting between the fighters as she heard another mini explosion.
She glanced back just in time to see Finral and the man having a go at full speed, their movements almost too fast to follow.
"Are you crazy? I’m not leaving Finral here at all!" Vanessa shouted as she turned back toward the fight and saw her brother land a successful hit in the man’s gut.
But instead of skidding back like before, the man stood his ground with a smile on his face as if nothing had happened.
"Your dad... can he help? Can he defeat the man?" Grey quickly asked, his voice laced with urgency, and the worried Vanessa suddenly stopped shaking. Her eyes lit up with realization as she glanced up at Grey.
"Dad... that’s right! Dad can defeat him," Vanessa said, hope flooding her voice as she clenched her fists.
"Yeah, that’s right. Let’s head back and pull dad here while the bad uncle is being occupied and distracted," Millie added with determination as she turned to the route they had come from. Holding tightly onto Grey’s hand, she dashed away with Vanessa slightly behind them.
’Finral, please hold on a little longer,’ Vanessa pleaded inwardly as she turned around one last time to see Finral get hurled into another stall, bringing it down with another thunderous crash.
"Over here!" Millie shouted as they swiftly turned a corner, continuing to run with Grey now getting out of breath.
’Damn it! How fast can they run?! I... I’m getting freaking tired already,’ Grey cursed inwardly, sweat quickly drenching his face as he turned to look behind him at Vanessa, who obviously was slowing down because of them.
’Come to think of it, almost everybody in this town is built. They look jacked and here I am, looking like someone that hasn’t eaten for two months,’ he thought bitterly as Millie quickly dragged him along, and they turned another corner that took them farther from the town.
"Wait, Millie. Slow down, I can hear something," Vanessa cautioned as they suddenly halted in a wide alleyway with an entrance a few metres in front of them, and another one behind.
"Over here!" a voice shouted as a dozen people trickled into the alleyway in front of them, all wearing yellow attires with the insignia of a yellow sun emblazoned on their chests.
"Crap! More members of the Midnight Sun clan. We are cooked," Vanessa muttered as she couldn’t help but take a stance in fear, positioning herself protectively in front of Grey and Millie.
"Attack them and make sure you take the terrorist dead or alive!" one of the men ordered sharply, his voice echoing off the alley walls. With a roar, they dashed forward in unison, weapons drawn and eyes burning with intent.
"I won’t let you take brother Grey!" Millie shouted as she bolted forward, leaping from wall to wall with full speed, her small figure moving like a blur.
Vanessa’s eyes widened. "Millie, wait!" she called out, but Millie was already gone, charging into battle with fierce determination blazing in her eyes.
