Chapter 365: I’m not a kid!
Chapter 365
"You should have looked at who you were messing with," the man’s voice rang out from behind Finral, and then, with a swing of his leg, Finral’s body flew away with tremendous force as he crashed into a stall, bringing it to the ground.
"Damn it!" Finral said as he spat a speck of blood to the ground, his eyes burning with rage.
"You should have let us take the terrorist without you kids interfering!" the man shouted as he suddenly appeared in front of Finral, sending a punch flying towards his face. But without flinching, the punch was caught.
"Again with the word ’kids’. I’m not a kid!" Finral shouted as he swung the man’s hand down with force before leaping up and delivering a roundhouse kick that finally sent the man skidding, with specks of blood dripping down his mouth.
The man tumbled on the ground a few times before coming to a halt, finally seeing Finral in front of him and about to deliver an uppercut.
"That won’t work," the man said, his fingers now digging into the ground as if a knife was slicing through butter. Then he flung himself back, away from Finral, who had finally let his fist loose, but it only hit the air with a slight bang.
"Come back here, you coward!" Finral shouted as he bolted for the man, who didn’t say anything. Rather, he acted.
Stabbing his hands into the ground, he pulled it up as if pulling out a rug or something, and then he flung it at the charging Finral.
"That won’t work!" Finral shouted as he leapt up and whipped his leg sideways, causing the slab of earth to crumble in front of him. But then—
Bang!
The man had already appeared in front of Finral, and a devastating, gut-wrenching punch sent Finral’s body flying with so much speed that it broke a sound barrier, blood spilling down his mouth.
"When you came forth like a hero of some sorts, I thought you would amount to much," the man scoffed as he turned away and tried to leave. But then, a heavy whistling in the air drew his attention.
Turning around, he could see a part of a building that was tossed at him with so much force that it looked like it would actually hit him. But with a swift sidestep, he avoided the attack, causing it to slam into the ground.
"Kek, kek, kek! You thought I was finally done?" Finral asked as he stepped forward, head bleeding slightly from being tossed into a building.
The civilians watched in silence as the whole town square was now eerily silent. The whole place was so silent that if a pin was to drop, it would be heard clearly as the two warriors stared at each other.
Clenching his hands tightly, his teeth grit, and anger burning in his eyes as he stared at the man.
"I’m not done with you yet!" Finral roared, shattering the absolute silence, and then he bolted forward like a blur that the man was unable to react in time.
Boom!
Finral’s fist slammed into the man, causing him to skid back a few inches with blood spurting out of his mouth as he choked on it.
"Get back here!" Finral shouted as he gave chase and then jumped into the air, performing an acrobatic stunt that caused his heel to slam the man’s face into the ground, causing it to crack with deep fissures running across the ground.
"What is going on?" someone from the crowd muttered in shock at what they were seeing.
"The youngling is really overwhelming a member of the Midnight Sun? How is this possible?"
"I’m also confused. Wasn’t it this man that sent that terrorist flying with a single punch earlier?"
"That’s right. The punch that caused the terrorist to crash into his colleague."
"Wait! Where is the terrorist? The one that started this whole mess?"
Everyone began twisting and turning, looking for the red-dressed man from earlier that had crashed into Grey, but he was nowhere to be seen.
"Who is this youngling though? He looks familiar."
"Same here. I feel like I’ve seen him before, but I can’t place where I have seen him."
"Since we can’t figure out who he is, let’s just enjoy the show."
Boom!
A mini shockwave spread out, blowing the broken stalls away as the clan man held onto Finral’s foot, which was heading for his head, bringing it to a halt and causing a shockwave to ripple out.
"I have had enough of your theatrics!" the man shouted as he dragged Finral’s legs, slamming him into the ground hard, rupturing the earth beneath him with deep cracks spreading out from the point of impact.
"I was trying to hold back because you look more like a kid," the man said as he stood above Finral, a spear drawn from his back now in hand and pointed directly at the young boy.
"I already said this before," Finral said, his hands clenched as he lay helplessly beneath the pointed spear, teeth gritted. "I’m not a kid!"
"You are not a kid? And here you are, beneath me, beneath my spear. Let me ask you this, what stage of Yun Warrior are you?" the man asked, raising an eyebrow as if daring Finral to answer.
"Stage 2," Finral replied through gritted teeth.
"And I’m Stage 4!" the man shouted, swinging the spear toward Finral’s neck at full speed, the blade glinting dangerously as it cut through the air.
"I... I... I... I—" Finral stuttered as he saw the spear rapidly approaching him, when he clenched his hands one more time. "I don’t freaking care!" freewebnøvel_com
In one smooth motion, Finral struck the ground with all his might, causing it to tremble with so much force that the man stumbled back, forced away from Finral by the sudden quake.
Quickly, the clan member stabbed his spear into the ground, bringing himself to a skidding halt as dust and debris scattered around him. His eyes locked on Finral, now standing a metre away.
"And for the last time, I’m no kid. Now, I’m going to show you why I’m my dad’s son!" Finral shouted as the air began trembling around him while a smirk crept onto his face, eyes burning with unyielding fire.
