Magus Supremacy-Chapter 366: The Alleyway Battle!
Chapter 366: The Alleyway Battle!
Chapter 366
"Attack them and make sure you take the terrorist dead or alive!" one of the men ordered, his voice sharp and resolute. With a unified roar, they dashed forward.
"I won’t let you take Brother Grey!" Millie shouted as she bolted forward, leaping from wall to wall with full speed.
Bang!
Millie leapt off a wall with forceful speed, then crashed into one of the clan members, sending him skidding into his fellow members. But they held their ground, all glaring at the little girl with intense focus.
"That was just a taste. Try to attack my brother again, I will spank your butts," Millie scoffed as she glared at them all, eyes burning with defiance.
"It’s clear they are all in this together. Kill the child and the terrorist too!" one of the clan members roared, and instantly, a man bolted for Millie.
His speed far surpassed anything she could cope with. A gleaming sword shone in front of her, about to hit her, when something zipped forward.
"Don’t you dare touch my sister!" Vanessa roared as she leapt up and hammered her heel into the sword.
Bang!
The air shook with force as the sword slammed into the ground, tearing through it and creating a deep fissure in the earth as Vanessa glared fiercely at the man before her.
"Enough of this!" the man Vanessa struck shouted, stepping back while standing side by side with his fellow clan members.
Vanessa and Millie stood side by side, while Grey was a metre behind them, watching helplessly at what was about to unfold.
"For the last time, I can see you are all citizens of the Aetherian faction. So I will give you all a last chance. Stand down and let us take the terrorist away, or face the full wrath of the Midnight Sun Clan," one of the men who had done most of the talking said in a cold voice.
"Hmm, let me think about it," Millie said, stroking her small chin in thought. Then, the next second, she grinned at the men. "Nope! Offer denied."
"Fine!" the man said as he stepped back, letting the remaining eleven men step forward. "Kill them all."
"Ha!" Vanessa shouted as she took a stance, her hands in front of her, legs spread a metre apart as her eyes fixated on the charging men.
Millie also took the same stance, her fists clenched tightly as the next second, the men all bolted forward at immense speed.
"Millie, protect your brother. One more thing: don’t die!" Vanessa ordered as she charged forward fearlessly.
"Hey! I can fight too," Millie shouted, pouting her lips, but she stayed directly in front of Grey, standing guard.
"Get away!" Vanessa roared as she unleashed a powerful punch towards one of the clan members’ gut. But he pivoted sharply, avoiding it, before unleashing a swift kick towards her head.
In one smooth movement, Vanessa swung her leg too, and it collided with the man’s leg with a bang, kicking up a small cloud of dust.
Swoosh!
The sound of something sharp cutting through the air was heard, heading towards her, but she quickly leapt back, letting a sword meant for her head crash into the ground, tearing it slightly.
Vanessa gritted her teeth as she landed. "You guys really don’t know when to quit."
"Weren’t you taught? Watch your back," a man called out from behind her, and then a powerful punch landed on her back, hurling her away with such force that she crashed into a wall with a bang.
"Now, let us take the terrorist," one of the men said as he bolted for Millie, who still stood right in front of Grey, shielding him without fear.
"You won’t take him away! Rather, it’s going to be my fist!" Millie roared as the man swung his fist toward her head.
But with quick movement, making use of her small frame and agile reflexes, she slid under the man’s legs and came out the other way before leaping up and delivering a swift kick into his head, causing the man to stumble forward an inch.
"Is that all?" the man asked as he swiveled around, trying to swat Millie with the palm of his hand, but she managed to sidestep and avoid it effortlessly.
"What are you doing? Are you toying with her or what? Put her down and take the terrorist. Let’s go!" the leader of the small group ordered sharply, his voice laced with irritation.
"I’m trying to!" the man shouted in anger as he attempted to swat Millie again. But she swiveled around once more and unleashed a kick to the man’s stomach. Yet, he didn’t move from his position, standing firm like an unmovable wall.
"Millie! You can’t defeat him like that. Use the Triple Step Technique!" Vanessa called out as she was seen returning from where she had been sent flying, her stance resolute while the other ten men turned around and dashed towards her.
"Triple Step Technique?" Millie asked as she quickly ducked just in time to avoid another punch to her head, which caused a bang to resound in the air.
"I can’t do that! I’ve tried several times. You taught me several times, but I keep failing!" Millie said, her voice shaking as she wanted to break into sobs, but she knew now wasn’t the right time. Her small hands clenched tightly as she fought back her fear.
"Ugh!" Vanessa groaned as she caught a punch in her palm before unleashing a powerful kick into the man’s groin, causing him to drop down in pain, groaning helplessly.
"You can do it, Millie!" Vanessa shouted as she quickly leapt back to avoid a spear strike to her head, her body twisting mid-air with practiced ease, and then she sent a swift roundhouse kick forward that got blocked by a sword, resulting in a loud clang that echoed through the area.
"Do it for who you want to protect, Millie! Do it for Grey. I believe in you, lil’ sis!" Vanessa smiled as she pushed against the sword her foot was stuck on with a groan and then bolted for the wielder before striking him in the gut with her palm, causing the man to spit out blood and go skidding back across the cracked ground.
"Do it for brother Grey... I got it." Millie smiled as she took in a deep breath, then let it out slowly, steadying herself. Then she began jumping lightly on her two legs, side by side. She would first jump slightly to her left, then to her right while keeping her eyes locked on the man in front of her.
"You should have just run away when you had the chance, little princess," the man shouted as he dashed for Millie. But she remained calm, her face serious, her expression steady.
Her eyes moved rapidly as she tried to track the man’s movement, and then—she saw it.
With a burst of movement, the man appeared in front of her, aiming to strike her down with a palm strike.
"Two steps back," Millie mumbled as she jumped back a bit, causing the man to almost tumble forward, but he caught his footing and then dashed towards her again, making an attack from the side.
"A step to the side," Millie mumbled beneath her breath as she sharply pivoted to the side, causing the man to miss again. "And then, attack!" she roared as she poured half her tiny Ki into her feet, giving her a small explosive burst of speed.
In one smooth motion, the remaining Ki surged into her arms as she leapt up and slammed her fist into the man’s neck with all the strength she could muster.
Bam!
Thud!
Her fist connected with a solid bam, and the man fell down with a thud.
"Yayyyy! I did it!" Millie jumped in excitement, a wide smile stretching across her face when—
Boom!
Bang!
A small explosion occurred, and something—or someone—was hurled into the air before falling right in front of her, beneath her feet. Glancing down, her small eyes widened in horror.
"Vanessa!"
