Magus Supremacy-Chapter 744
Chapter 744
"What the heck just happened?!" This shout from Grey echoed through the air as he gaped at the sight before him.
He finally was able to get his heart to calm down as a frown flashed across his face.
’Who the hell is Borfan really? This is insane. Two hundred men gone in one strike? I could do the same... I mean eliminate two hundred men but in just a single attack?
I would need rain down lightning attacks or trap them in a mud... probably rain down fireballs. But all these would consume quite the considerable amount of mana.
Besides, it’s not a single attack like he did.’
He paused as he thought briefly before adding inwardly;
’... And the attack he did just now, it didn’t seem to affect him. It’s like he didn’t even use one percent of his power. He was all too calm. Almost like a god or something?’
He sighed for a moment while rubbing his temples in deep thought as he suddenly felt a headache coming up.
"Thank goodness I wasn’t foolish enough to irrationally attack. My body would have been gone without a trace if I had done that."
He scanned the clearing around him in another deep thought.
"But then, what do I do with this gift? What am I going to do with this land? I have no use for it. Sheesh! He didn’t even think before acting, did he?" Grey dragged his palm across his face in exasperation.
"..."
He paused. Eyes lighting up as an Idea crossed his mind.
"That’s right. I don’t need it, but they could definitely have a use for it."
Without wasting time, a portal opened up in front of him which he stepped through.
"...."
A few minutes passed by in tense silence as the wind softly caressed the land Grey had just exited as if trying to soothe the injury the area had suffered at the hands of a cruel Borfan.
Minutes stretched into half an hour before another portal opened up and out stepped Grey.
Along with him, the members of the Crimson Lotus Clan with Alba first and then Killian and finally, the others.
They stared at where they had just come to confusedly.
"Huh? When did you turn to a farmer?"
"Or a woodcutter?"
Grey didn’t give a reaction to Lance and Lilly’s words.
He just tucked his hands into his pockets while gazing ahead.
When he had left this place, he went in search of the Crimson Clan telling them he had to show them something.
He didn’t explain, just dragged them all through his portal over here.
"Grey. What are we looking at here?" Alba asked calmly as she stared at the destruction in front of her.
Sigh—!
Grey let out before deciding to explain.
"Borfan summoned me to show me this." He said pointing to the wide scale destruction.
"... A camp of two hundred strong men from the Umbrafell faction were littered here and he cleared them all with a single strike. He gave me this land as thanks for saving his daughter. He said I can do whatever I want with it."
"Okay? So why are we here?" Lance asked again with a raised brow.
"Because I have no use for the land. It is useless to me... at the moment. But when I was about to discard it, I thought of you all."
"Huh?" Alba lifted an eyebrow in confusion.
"... You all have no definite position. You just move around and most of the time, waste your time in a bar drinking away. Heck! I don’t even know where you sleep.
Hence I decided to gift you all the land. Build something... anything that will serve as a base for you guys and live there." Grey replied callously.
"..."
A few moments of tense silence passed by as every single person there stared at Grey with shock written all over their faces.
They never knew the Supreme Magus could care for them? I mean, what had they done to deserve this?
They hadn’t even done the task which awaited them in two months. So what was this?
Judy’s lips quivered a bit before parting into a smile as she shyly tucked her hair behind her ear before uttering;
"All-All these for us? But why?"
Alba also nodded as she turned her gaze to stare at Grey.
"Why did you do this for us? We aren’t even that close yet. We are just... business partners for now."
Grey tilted his head to face Alba.
"This isn’t for you all. It is for me."
"Huh?" Killian lifted an eyebrow confusedly.
"Yeah. It is a hassle for me to keep having to look for you all in several places. Some would be at the bar, some would be at Ash’s base and others at different places.
It’s troublesome for me. So with this, you all will be able to stay in a spot making it easier for me to locate you guys when I need something. Unless of course, you go on missions."
Alba just smiled. Her eyes glinting in amusement.
She then let out a loud laugh while slapping her thighs.
"Oh shit. Who are you trying to deceive with that explanation of yours? We all know you care about us. Hahaha~"
"I don’t care."
Alba stopped laughing and began walking towards him with her chest swaying massively.
"Admit it. Admit it. You do care." 𝒻𝘳𝘦𝘦𝘸ℯ𝒷𝘯𝘰𝑣ℯ𝑙.𝘤𝑜𝘮
Grey was seen moving backwards for a moment as Alba was closing the distance between them.
Then he exhaled sharply and nodded.
"Okay."
Alba paused.
"Really? You do care?"
"No you perverted woman. I’m out of here."
An ashen portal quickly appeared behind him swallowing him in its depths leaving the Crimson Lotus Clan stupefied.
"You know? You need to stop your shameless acts." Killian scoffed as he stared at Alba’s back.
"I’m not shameless." She pouted her mouth while stomping exasperatedly.
"Come on Alba. Act your age." Ash groaned.
"And warrior stage. For freak sake. You are a stage 7 warrior. Act like one." Lance added with a frown.
"Tsk. Just because I’m a stage 7 warrior doesn’t mean I will be rigid all the time." She scoffed as she turned her head away to stare at the wide expanse in front of her.
The others could only facepalm themselves in resignation.
"So... how do we start?" Lilly asked as she glanced at the scattered trees laying all around them.
