Magus Supremacy-Chapter 753: The Power of the Crimson Lotus Clan (2)
Chapter 753
"...."
Grey froze, eyes blinking in confusion as he watched the complete change unfold before him.
The calm, anxious, nervous, shy girl was nowhere to be seen.
Black blood splattered across Judy’s face, giving her an almost demonic appearance.
Her earlier bulging arms had receded back to how they normally were.
The grip on her spear was firm, steady, decisive.
Like someone who had spent her entire life honing the skill to back it up.
Not a novice unsure of her weapon, but a predator refined in the art of spear usage.
Grey stared in stunned silence as the girl calmly tucked her hair behind her ear before scanning the battlefield with sharp eyes.
Out of the twenty beasts, ten had already been dealt with. And disturbingly, more could be seen rushing toward their position.
"I’m off." Judy spoke quietly, seemingly to no one in particular, before her gaze locked onto the figures approaching in the distance.
Without a single ounce of hesitation, she swirled Ki around her feet and pounced forward like a blur.
She passed Alba and the others, cleanly breaking formation.
Spear in hand, her eyes fixated on the incoming beasts numbering around five.
Noticing the charging human, the beasts leaped into the air simultaneously, their tongues lashing toward her at full speed.
A wide grin spread across Judy’s face as she tightened her grip.
Channeling Ki into her weapon, she spun it at full velocity, the spear blurring into something closer to a rotating blade.
Clang—!
The spinning weapon collided with the tongues, violently swatting them away.
The beasts landed smoothly on all fours before lunging again in perfect coordination.
Their movements were repetitive, almost patterned.
Judy did not care.
The first beast reached her and sprang forward, swinging its limb toward her head.
She raised her spear just in time, blocking the strike.
The force still sent her sliding backward with a low grunt as her boots tore lines into the ground.
Swoooosh!
A tongue lashed out from behind.
She kicked off the earth instantly, hovering above the grass for a brief moment.
Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang!
Judy drove her spear downward, unleashing five visible Ki bullets that tore through the air and smashed into the beasts’ skulls, punching clean, bullet-like holes straight through their heads.
The creatures collapsed almost simultaneously with heavy thuds.
Judy followed shortly after, landing on her knees, chest rising and falling as she huffed for breath.
Grey stood behind her, mouth hanging open in disbelief.
’What just happened right here?’
He could hardly process what he had seen with his own eyes.
Judy? The same timid girl who looked like she would flinch at a raised voice had just killed five Saint-ranked beasts alone.
Who would ever believe him if he said this out loud?
BANG—!
The loud impact snapped his attention back to the battlefield.
Lance was the source of the sound, having just swirled Ki into his axe before hurling it forward with explosive force.
The weapon slammed into a beast, biting several inches deep and drawing a spray of blood.
Before it could recover, Brook bolted forward and smashed his tower shield into the axe’s handle, driving the blade completely through the creature in a brutal, decisive finish.
Alba was calmly parrying the tongue attacks as if they were nothing, only a constant swooshing sound filling her ears.
She suddenly bent low, allowing two arrows to fly cleanly over her head and smash straight into the eyes of the beasts she was facing.
As if they somehow sensed where the arrows were headed, the creatures attempted to shut their eyes at the last moment, but Alba slashed the air with her sword, sending a crimson arc of energy racing toward them.
Seeing the incoming slash, the beasts were forced to keep their eyes open so they could dodge the attack.
They leaped backward, focusing entirely on avoiding the slash while completely forgetting about the arrows.
TCHAKKK—!
The arrows pierced straight into their eyes, blood trickling down as they let out piercing, pained shrieks.
The sudden agony kept them rooted in place, and that was all Alba needed.
Her crimson slash tore cleanly through their bodies, splitting them in half as they collapsed to the ground in pieces.
While everyone else had been paired up, Killian was handling two beasts on his own.
His movements were rough, brutal, and filled with savagery.
Leaning backward, he narrowly dodged a tongue attack.
In the same motion, he swung his sword upward from below, cleaving straight through one of the beast’s limbs.
Swirling Ki around his feet, he kicked off the ground and hauled his red blade twice, sending two flaming slashes ripping through the air.
The beasts jumped sideways, narrowly dodging as the slashes crashed into the grass behind them, igniting the field in roaring flames.
Gritting his teeth in frustration at the miss, Killian quickly raised his sword in front of his face, blocking another tongue attack from the second beast.
He did not budge an inch as he tanked the hit with surprising ease.
In one smooth motion, he twisted his blade, wrapping the tongue around it before yanking hard.
The limb was severed instantly, spraying blood as the beast shrieked in agonizing pain.
Killian did not hesitate.
He shot forward like a blur and, within a heartbeat, both beasts’ heads slid off their shoulders and crashed onto the grassy ground, their bodies following shortly after.
Killian smirked as blood splattered across his face, but he did not bother wiping it off.
"Did you see that? Eh, Ju..." His voice trailed off as he turned around and realized the shy girl was nowhere to be seen.
"She went that way." Grey said indifferently, pointing in the direction Judy had last disappeared toward.
Only one beast remained, and Alba was its opponent.
It charged toward her at full speed, but she calmly sidestepped the attack and brought her sword down in a clean arc.
The blade tore a deep gash across its back, disconnecting its torso from the rest of its body as it collapsed lifelessly to the ground.
That marked the end of the current fight.
Moments later, Killian could be seen walking back alongside Judy.
"Well, that was fun. I wouldn’t have expected any less from the Crimson Lotus Clan." A voice suddenly cut through the squad’s slightly labored breathing.
Alba turned around sharply, a scowl forming on her face the instant she recognized the speaker.
"You again? What do you want, Gunlag?"
