Magus Supremacy-Chapter 756: A Seemingly Ordinary Fellow
Chapter 756
Standing in front of Grey was Gunlag, with his four cohorts behind him, all armed to the teeth.
Grey slowly rose, a frown crossing his face as he stared at his forearms that had just been kicked by the man in front of him.
"What was that for?" Grey asked calmly, keeping his gaze fixed on his hands.
Gunlag tilted his head, an amused smile spreading across his face.
"What was that for? That was for snatching Alba from me." 𝕗𝕣𝐞𝐞𝘄𝐞𝚋𝚗𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗹.𝚌𝕠𝚖
"..."
Grey paused, his brows twitching in mild irritation.
"Snatch Alba from you?"
"Don’t play the fool with me!" Gunlag shouted, restraining himself as he gripped his sword tighter.
Sigh—!
’Knew her stunt would bring problems for me sooner or later. Tsk!’
"So what do you actually want?" Grey asked, tilting his head to the side as he studied the men.
Gunlag grinned, his face splitting momentarily before he lifted his sword to point at the mage.
"Whatever happens here, stays here. We can just say you got killed by a beast. Besides, Alba isn’t here, so nobody will find out. And after I’m done with you, I’ll get Alba back."
’And then, not only will she warm my bed, I’ll also have a powerful ally back on my side. I could make her give me reins to the Crimson Lotus Clan. Hahahaha~ what a perfect plan.’
"..."
Grey blinked for a moment before exhaling sharply and casually rolling his shoulders.
"Okay then. Let’s get things over with. Shall we?"
"Huh?" Gunlag mumbled, confused by the confidence the... ’ordinary man’ in front of him was exuding.
Grey shifted into a battle stance, dagger in hand, pointing it forward at the men.
’Learned something during my lifetime. Absolutely no use exchanging words with arrogant people like this. Best to take them ou... I mean defeat them.’
"Get him." Gunlag calmly ordered, turning to see if any member of the Crimson Lotus Clan was coming.
Luckily, no one was.
His men lunged forward, weapons in hand, appearing before the mage in the blink of an eye.
Blades streaked through the air at full speed.
’Just like before—no magic. Let’s see how I fare against a bunch of stage three warriors.’
Shifting his feet subtly, Grey kicked off the ground, dodging a spear thrust aimed at his abdomen.
An arrow whistled toward his face at full speed, which he swatted away with his dagger.
The arrow smashed into the ground, and at that moment, Grey landed back—only for another warrior to appear in that same position.
A sword lashed through the air toward his back.
Spinning, the mage brought his dagger down, clashing with the sword.
Clang—!
His leg shot through the air, smashing into the man’s abdomen with crushing force.
"Huuuu..." The man gasped, sliding backward in throbbing pain.
Swooosh—!
An arrow whistled through the air, flying toward the mage’s head at full speed.
Tilting his head, Grey blocked it with his dagger, sparks flying into the air.
His eyes locked on the men, who were in shock at how a single person could hold them back.
’Huh?’ Gunlag frowned inwardly. ’Is it possible that he is that strong? Come to think of it, there’s no way Alba would date anyone weak though.’
The air shifted as a spear jabbed toward his abdomen.
Grey sidestepped casually, letting the weapon slice harmlessly through the air.
Channeling Ki into his feet, he swung them from below, shattering the man’s ribs with such force that the swordsman skipped across the ground, saliva spraying from his mouth.
"..."
Everybody paused for a moment, staring at the scene.
Confusion etched on their faces as they watched one of their comrades bouncing across the grassy terrain like it was nothing.
Taking advantage of their momentary stun, Grey augmented his feet with Ki and blasted forward toward the swordsman.
Arrows immediately whistled his way.
But with the aid of the wind element, he moved like a blur, dodging and weaving through the arrows before materializing directly in front of the swordsman.
The man slashed from the side, but Grey simply leaped over the strike as if it were nothing.
With Ki and wind swirling fiercely around his feet, he hammered his leg down onto the man’s head with the force of a battering ram.
"Ack..."
Blood sprayed from the man’s mouth as his eyes rolled to the back of his head, and he collapsed onto the ground with a heavy thud.
Landing smoothly a metre away from the unconscious body, Grey lifted his dagger in front of his face.
Clang—!
The sound of steel against steel rang across the terrain as cracks spiderwebbed the grassy ground.
Grey finally turned to see his attacker:
Gunlag.
He had had enough of watching the massacre Grey was inflicting on his men, so he attacked.
He had moved so fast that he thought there was no way the teen in front of him could avoid—or even block—his strike.
So how? How could a kid block a strike from a stage six warrior so effortlessly?
"You are definitely strong," Grey finally uttered for the first time during the battle.
"... But there’s one thing you don’t realize."
The air suddenly grew thick, causing Gunlag’s eyes to widen. His hair stood on end.
In an instant, he swirled Ki around his feet, leaping metres away from the mage in front of him.
But unfortunately, it was to no avail.
Grey had already blasted forward, appearing in front of the man the moment his feet touched the ground.
"You are messing with the wrong per..."
Crackle—!
Bang—!
Grey’s ears twitched, and in an instant, he vanished from view just at the right moment.
Because crashing into the midst of Gunlag, four lightning bolts carved deep holes into the ground.
