Chapter 764: Seemingly No Match!

Chapter 764

DUUUU, DUUUโ€”!

Hundreds of greenish liquid pellets shot through the air like bullets unleashed from a gun, flying toward all the humans who stood aroundโ€”both those watching the battle and those actively participating in it. ๐’‡๐’“๐™š๐’†๐”€๐“ฎ๐“ซ๐’๐“ธ๐™ซ๐“ฎ๐“ต.๐“ฌ๐™ค๐™ข

Including Grey.

And for some reason, the Supreme Magus stood there, watching the incoming greenish liquid with keen, focused eyes.

That was when he spotted it.

A few droplets from the liquid struck the ground, and the moment they made contact, they sizzled violentlyโ€”burning tiny holes straight through the earth.

That was when he finally decided to act.

"Wind magic; Towering Tornadoes."

Those words were spoken with a calm, commanding presence, and with them came a dozen tornadoes spinning with terrifying intensity.

The kind of intensity that made it seem like they could rip a grown human off their feet and drag them into their spiralling depths.

The other warriors watching gaped with stunned expressions on their faces.

Gunlag gulped loudly at the sight.

โ€™What is going on here? Who is this?โ€™

Well, he wasnโ€™t about to get his answers from the tornadoes, because the attack swooshed violently through the air.

All the tornadoes surrounded the humans, and as they spun, they collided head-on with the acidic goo.

With his hands forcefully pushed apart, the tornadoes slammed into the projectiles, sending them splattering away from the humans.

They struck the ground at various angles, burning deep holes through the earth before sizzling off into nothingness.

The beast landed from its airborne stance with a loud, menacing growl as it glared at the human who had neutralised its attack.

Alba didnโ€™t look exhausted in the slightest as she stood upright, her eyes tracking the beastโ€™s movements closely.

Killian, on the other hand, was visibly showing signs of fatigue as beads of sweat trickled down his temples.

Then...

"You asked why I wasnโ€™t doing anything?"

Grey suddenly asked over his shoulder as he continued staring at the beast.

A brief pause followed, his gaze never wavering.

"... What you didnโ€™t know was that,"

Portals began materialising around the beast from every direction, sealing off its surroundings and ensuring any escape route was completely thwarted.

"I have been busy preparing all along."

Snap!

Blazing balls of flame roared out of the portals like fiery comets, and within a second, they burst forward.

"Explomb."

Boom, BOOOM, Boomโ€”!

A violent chain reaction of explosions echoed across the battlefield with deep, crushing intensity as thick smoke billowed high into the skies.

Blasts of scorching wind erupted outward, slamming into the humans with overwhelming force.

Even Grey, who stood several metres away, felt his robe flutter wildly from the sheer pressure of the explosions.

When the smoke finally thinned, the beast was revealed.

Most of the spikes on its back had melted away, leaving only a handful behind.

Though its rocky body remained largely intact, the same could not be said for its overall condition.

Blood dripped from nearly every part of its massive form as it stood on the verge of collapseโ€”yet still standing, its crimson eyes locked onto Grey with murderous intensity.

With a furious roar, it blasted forward at breakneck speed.

Yet Grey stood there arrogantly.

A pair of lightning swords crackled in his hands, gripped so tightly that veins bulged across his forearms.

Within a heartbeat, the beast was already before him.

Its hands shot toward his face at full speed.

Clangโ€”!

Grey blocked with flawless precision as the ground beneath him splintered apart, forcing him back a few inches.

Even so, he held his stance firmly, a grin curling beneath his mask.

The beastโ€™s tongue lashed out from the side.

Grey vanished from view, allowing the tongue to slam into the ground instead.

The next moment, Grey blinked into the sky, a wide grin splitting his faceโ€”hidden, of course, behind the mask.

"When Thalos spoke about the divine ranked beasts, I thought it would be something hard to handle."

With a swing of his lightning sword, twenty enormous horizontal wind slashes burst outward, and in a flash, all of them rocketed toward the beast below.

Seeing this, the creature wasted no time pouncing away as it leapt from side to side, dodging the wind slashes by the skin of its teeth.

Meanwhile, the wind attacks crashed violently into the ground, tearing gaping trenches across the terrain and forcing the spectators to hurriedly shift away, lest they get caught within the destructive range.

With a final push off the earth, the beast suddenly appeared before Grey, who was still in the air, smirking calmly.

Its massive hands shot forward, speeding straight toward Greyโ€™s face.

But the mage only smiled as a portal yawned open in front of him, and out came Brook, his shield thrust forward.

BAMโ€”!

The beastโ€™s punch collided with the shield, unleashing a devastating, ear-ringing sound that caused almost everybody nearby to clamp their hands over their ears.

Brook grinned widely as his limbs trembled from holding back the monstrous hit.

Lucky for him, Ki coated his arms, reinforcing them and preventing his bones from shattering on impact.

The next moment, a brilliant radiance flared around the shield, and without wasting time, a blinding beam of light burst forth from the tower weapon, crashing directly into the beast with the force of two bullet trains.

The momentum of its own attack was redirected back at itโ€”now amplified to twice the strength.

BOOOMโ€”!

The beast was hurled out of the air like a broken doll cast down from the heavens.

One of its four limbs was torn clean off, blood spraying wildly through the air like a grotesque fountain.

"Arrows," Grey ordered.

Without hesitation, Lilly knocked three arrows onto her bowstring.

Wasting no time, she released them toward the beast, whose face was still turned toward the ground.

Sensing the incoming danger, the creature spun swiftly, ensuring its hardened back faced the arrows.

They ricocheted off harmlesslyโ€”only for it to witness Greyโ€™s mask disintegrating from view, revealing a wide smile plastered across his features.

"I just realized... all you weaklings are just bark and no bite."

"Earth magic; Mountain Breaker."

Rumble, Rumble, Rumbleโ€”!

An enormous pillar of earth erupted from the ground, and within a blink, it smashed downward like a colossal hammer, crashing directly around the beastโ€™s head and accelerating its fall.

With a thunderous boom, the pillar drove the beast into the earth, blasting dust outward in all directions as yet another deep crater formed beneath its broken body.

"... Honestly, you werenโ€™t much of a challenge, hence I didnโ€™t do much earlier. Now, goodnight."

Snap!

His fingers struck together once more, and the next moment, a massive greatsword made of crackling lightning slammed down from the cloudsโ€”as if it had always been there.

And that was because... it had always been there.

Hiding within the clouds.

Shriek!

BAMโ€”!

BOOOMโ€”!

Another wave of dust erupted with even greater intensity, smashing weaker humans off their feet and sending them skipping violently across the ground.

Meanwhile, those strong enough managed to hold their footing as the ground beneath them shuddered violentlyโ€”trembling like a frightened human standing before a towering god.
