Chapter 790

—WHAT?!

The crowd exploded in immense shock at Rivock’s causal acceptance of the challenge thrown his way.

— Is this guy mad? Does he have a death wish? Battle ten Divine ranked beasts?

— Even a stage seven warrior might get flattened under that amount of pressure talk more of a mere student.

— Or has the consecutive two wins from earlier which his teammates secured gotten to his head?

— Are you people not seeing what I’m seeing?

— What are you seeing?

— Think of this; if the Umbrafell faction were as nice and coolheaded as they claim, they wouldn’t have suggested this to a student, right? Why would they do this considering the immense risk? Doesn’t that mean they have ulterior motives?

— What faction are you from?

— The Noxarian faction. Why?

— No wonder. Only those fools will spout rubbish like you just did. In your life, do not ever spit on the Umbrafell’s benevolence again.

— Yes. Such a fool. If it wasn’t for the fact that you are deaf; you would have heard when the leader gave him the choice to attempt the waves as normal.

— Uh-huh. He chose this path so if he dies, so be it. Don’t spit on the Umbrafell faction you moron.

Alba who was seated around these people couldn’t help but shake her head.

’What a bunch of brainwashed nincompoops.’

"Okay then. Since that’s your final option, here we go then." Leader Ken uttered and soon enough,

A wave of energy washed over the arena. A massive tear in reality appeared two metres away from Rivock bringing with it, a gust of wind that slammed into him yet, he barely flinched.

Infact, his arms were crossed across his chest as he stared ahead.

The tear grew wider and wider and soon enough, a loud roar split the air.

Then another. Another. And another.

Until a cacophony of both growls and roars filled the air causing the audience to shiver in slight fear.

A step. Then another step.

The sound of hooves hitting the ground was heard and in a few seconds, the ten Divine ranked beasts lined up two metres away from the direct descendant while the portal snapped shut behind them.

Seeing this, Grey frowned.

’Come to think of it. How did the Umbrafell faction actually get so many beasts of the Divine rank they have been using? How did they create the portal to bring them here?’

His brows furrowed the more as he stared at the flickering portal which snapped shut causing realisation to suddenly dawn over him.

’Wa-wait. That portal... how didn’t I notice it on time? Th-That’s a magic circle. A portal only created by a magic circle. Ho-How did a faction of warriors get a magic circle?’

Before any conspiracy theory could form properly in his mind, the loud growls of the beasts snapped him out of his thoughts causing him to stare at Rivock who was about to be engaged in a battle.

Even faced with this amount of beasts, he didn’t flinch.

All he did was calmly unclench his hands and held them at his sides causing the air to begin rippling around his hands.

On seeing the human standing alone in front of him, the beast wasted no time in lunging towards him at blazing speed.

Seeing ten Divine ranked beasts charging at one is enough to make some people shit their pants still, Rivock didn’t bat an eyelid.

Soon enough, a pair of Ki swords appeared in his grip with a loud whoosh.

And it was just at the right moment as two of the beasts already reached him faster than the others.

They didn’t delay in swinging their claws at him with full speed.

However, with an effortless leap backwards, Rivock avoided the claws by an immensely wide margin.

He landed on the ground casually and then, 𝘧𝓇ℯ𝑒𝓌𝑒𝑏𝓃𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘭.𝒸ℴ𝓂

BANG—!

He exploded forward at break neck speed crossing the distance between him and the first two beasts within a second.

With how fast he moved, it looked like he teleported from one place to another.

His ki sword streaked from below causing a yellow trail to mist from it as he hammered it into the head of the first beast.

BAM—!

WOOOSH—!

A blast of current exploded outward smashing into the other beasts with the force of a battering ram sending them sliding backwards.

While the beast in front of Rivock was cleanly impaled in the head by his Ki before sliding down and dropping dead right in front of him with a thud as black ichor oozed out.

Staring at the dissipating ki sword, he turned to the second one in his grip and then at the beasts who for some reason, on seeing that stare; instinctively took a few careful steps back.

It was just for a moment though.

Quickly shaking off the fright they felt, they regained their composure and immediately charged at Rivock with break neck speed.

Crossing the distance between them and instantly swarming over him in a flash.

Claws hauled out from all directions.

Still, the human remained unflinching and was just grinning like someone who had just won a lottery.

Then,

Booom—!

The mini sound rang out and soon enough, the direct descendant could be seen hovering in the air above the beasts for a moment as their claws struck the air.

But one beast was faster to regain his composure than the others as it twirled around and leapt into the air with explosive force reaching Rivock in a second.

Fist arced towards him with full speed.

Rivock quickly leaned his head to the side avoiding the punch as it wooshed past his face with rushing air.

The beast quickly twisted with its second limb unfurling deadly claws that were now mere inches away from his face.

In a flash, the descendant hurled the ki sword in his hand forward causing the beast to dodge it casually only for Rivock to kick the air with explosive force and appear before it.

Grabbing its hand and twirling around, he casually uttered.

"If I faced literal demons and survived, what makes you think you are a threat to me?"

Then with a sharp spin, the two were launched out of the air at break neck speed that the other beasts had to give way in time because,

BOOOM—!

A ten metres deep crater swiftly yawned open as the duo crashed into the ground with crushing force kicking up a thick cloud of dust that rained down stony debris.
