"Ouch, that must hurt"

Floating right above Leon, yankai gritted his teeth at the sight of Leon’s broken dagger. This was a grade three weapon in status, losing it must be quite painful especially while in a place like trafalgar forest.

"Sigh" Leon shook his head and looked at his dagger. He forged this in eldoria with his good friend carlson, it was a shame to lose it to some random monster. There was nothing he could do though.

"Die!!!"

In the distance, the apparition of a giant serpent wheel could be seen rolling down from the sky ripping the giant lizards head apart in a split second.

"Wow, that’s brutal. You guys should have kids" Yankai watched Victoria kill a giant lizard and couldn’t help but sigh at her tactics.

Leon blew up a weapon inside the eye whole completely turning ones brain to minced meat and Victoria sliced the head of another like a chainsaw to wood.

When it came to brutality? These two were a match made in heaven.

"Hmmm, you should probably not say that outloud" Leon smiled bitterly. If Arian was here, she would have his head for that statement.

Talkless of Victoria who was already barreling towards them.

"Oh? You kill it?" Victoria looked at Yankai and asked with a frown. She was here to give a helping hand, but half way through she noticed the lizard was lifeless.

"Nope, it was all him" Yankai raised his hands up as if saying it had nothing to do with him then he flew away to the opposite direction.

"Hmmm" Seeing the Victoria’s gaze drifted to Leon with a bitter smile. The kid was a good fighter she couldn’t lie.

—rippppp

With a strangle curved blade, Victoria opened the inners of one of the lizard and fiddled inside with her right arm, seemingly looking for something.

A second later, she pulled out a glowing Orb of green light the side of a baseball.

Beast core.

At grade 3, beast would automatically form a core. It was the center of their life-force and the driving factor of their future growth.

As such the beast core was very special to beasts and was their most guarded treasure. Only upon death would they give it up as it was tied to their very existence.

"This is yours" Victoria tossed one of the three core from the giant lizards to Leon. He was responsible for its death, as such he deserved the biggest portion....in addition to losing his dagger, it only made sense that Leon take the core.

"Hmm, thank you" Leon smiled upon receiving the core. It shone with green light and brimmed with life energy.

Monsterous creatures likes these had one thing in coming with warlocks. Their primary energy source was life energy and they exuded this energy in their very core.

Cores could act as a source of life-energy to warlocks, but there was still a little problem. They didn’t just use life-energy and the other type of energy was very hard to get rid off, often costing alot of skill and resources.

Leon didn’t have the time for that so—

"Here you go"

He raised the core to his shoulder and a pitch black serpent with pearl blue eyes slithered out to engulf the core.

Leon could probably sell the core for a hefty sum, but it didn’t translate as well as him giving levi the opportunity to grow stronger right now.

After all, they were in a very dangerous situation as it is.

"Hmmm" Victoria saw Leon feeding a grade 3 core directly to levi and shook her head. This kid was just ignorant, there were alot of preparations needed before he could left his serpent consume a core like that.

This was just a waste of resources!!!

But what could she do? The serpent seemed pretty happy by Leon’s side. She couldn’t force it to do anything.

"Let’s head deeper, we are still ahead. Hopefully we reach on time before any other team" Victoria rallied the other captains.

2 days of walking through trafalgar forest had gotten them only half way through the Tra area. The weakest of them was a level 3 warlock with the ability to fly. This spoke volumes of how big the trafalgar forest really was.

But no matter how disgruntled they were, they wouldn’t complain if they actually knew what was really going on all over the Tra area. Several teams of blood serpent clan members whom had come along for this Misson had either been forced back or severely injured by the monsters in the forests.

They weren’t in their home territory anymore and the beasts they faced didn’t care for the face of the bloodserpent clan.

...

3 days later.

The enforcement units team made their way through trafalgar forest slowly. With its pitfalls, and complex terrain, it seemed like they were constantly in a state of learning.

It didn’t matter how much they thought they knew or how well they belived that they had adapted to the forest. It just kept throwing new this at them, and on the 3 days they reached the boarder of the Tra area.

"What do you see Leon" Beside Leon, Victoria asked with squinted brows. For the past few kilometres, there had been no mishaps or surprises. It was weird considering the fact that they were so close to the Fal area of the forest.

"6, I feel 6 and one of them feels different"

After constantly engaging with these creatures throughout the trip Levi had gotten a good sense of the energy signatures and could easily sense them and relay it to Leon.

These creatures where like patrol guards of the forest, they maintained formations and relaid there dire straits to other creatures in the vicinity.

It Was like they had minds of their own.

This experience was a bit of an eye opener for the captains around as they hadn’t communicated with beasts before. But not Leon.

Levi spoke to him all the time, he knew their intelligence was at least on the same level as them.....and he had a feeling that Victoria knew so too.

"6? That will be tricky" Victoria frowned. Not to talk about the one releasing that insane aura at the back, 6 was already too much for them to handle.

"More tricker than you can imagine, look over there" Leon turned to the side and pointed at a hill opposite them.

There, four figures could be seen with bloodred robes and pale faces could be seen standing facing the same direction as them.

The Representatives of the bloodmancer family.
