Manaless Mage-Chapter 257: I’ve been waiting for you!!
Chapter 257: I’ve been waiting for you!!
The first image he saw on the clock was the cut off head of a beautiful woman with long amber hair.
Her headless body was lying still on the ground a few meters from the head, with blood oozing out of the sliced neck.
"A-Anna..." Leon muttered, gnashing his teeth in frustration.
Next the clip on the clock changed, showing a familiar brown haired man, with a thick black spear impaled in his heart.
The spear was stabbed through his body, piercing deep into the ground with his lifeless body held still in the air.
The clips on the clock kept changing, showing all of his friends and colleagues from the AMO, each one killed in horrible ways.
He also saw his parents, the two of them set ablaze within a wild purple flame.
The image of the world he saw was one set ablaze, with countless number of bodies piled up on one another at different corners of the earth.
An endless sea of blood continuously flowed down the earth, slowly seeping into the cracks left behind by the destruction.
All that filled the world was chaos and destruction!
"W-what is this...? Harry... everyone." He muttered, his body trembling in anger.
"You can see for yourself now, that is the fate will soon befall everyone you love if you don’t do what I say." Kronos said, flashing a slight smirk at Leon.
"But I can help you, all you have to do is come with me, and I’ll save you... I’ll help you save your world." He continued, stretching his hand out to Leon.
"This is the only—"
"Lies!" Leon suddenly shouted, rudely cutting him off his words.
Kronos’ brows twitched in annoyance at how he was interrupted, however, he didn’t say anything.
"Everything you’ve said since you brought me here, are lies." Leon said, pointing a finger at the strange man.
"Take me back to my world, and I’m not giving you a choice also." He said, with a deep frown on his face.
Although he didn’t believe anything he heard from this Kronos, he couldn’t ignore the bad feeling in his chest.
He had to get back, or something terrible was bound to happen!
’Even after showing him ’that’, he still refused to believe me.’ He thought, narrowing his eyes at Leon.
"Don’t be stupid manaless mage, I’m—"
"I don’t care whether you’re the god of time or whatever..." Leon said, a powerful surge of energy suddenly erupting from him.
The energy immediately compressed over his skin, coating his body in a blazing white flame.
"If you don’t get me out this instant, I’ll kill you." He said, and the white flame around his right hand flared, burning with even greater intensity.
Usually, he never bothered to utilize his energy to its full capacity, however, he was currently in a grave situation, so he didn’t bother holding anything back.
He could tell Kronos was only trying to waste his time here, acting like he was really trying to help him, when in truth, it was the opposite.
The space around them suddenly started shaking violently, and the clocks movements became a lot more erratic, slamming uncontrollably into each other.
’How annoying, this place can’t contain him!’ Kronos thought, gnashing his teeth in annoyance.
The calm facade he had previously been keeping up crumbled into pieces, and his expression twisted into a deep frown.
’Manaless mages... manaless mages... always so freaking troublesome!’ He thought, his brows twitching uncontrollably.
Leon didn’t give him any time to arrange his thoughts though, swiftly stretching his hand towards him.
BWOOSH!!
A powerful white flame suddenly shot out from his hand, blasting towards Kronos at terrifying speed.
The energy reached the man in an instant, however, just as it was about to hit Kronos, one of the clocks close to him swiftly moved in the way.
Twiisshh!!
The flame struck the clock instead, and in the next second, the attack bursted lit from another clock behind Leon, firing his attack back at him.
Nonetheless, Leon didn’t panic, simply stretching his hand at the incoming energy instead.
The white flame on his body burned even brighter, as the energy he shot out earlier was immediately sucked back into his body.
As for the two clocks, they rapidly deteriorated, and within a few seconds, they both disintegrated into green dust, before vanishing into thin air.
"What have you done...?" Kronos muttered, staring at Leon with his eyes widened in anger.
"Do you realise what you’ve just done?!" He shouted, veins bulging all over his forehead.
Leon deeply narrowed his eyes at him, surprised at his sudden outburst. However, he couldn’t care lees.
"No, and I don’t care." He said, tightly clenching his fists. ’Don’t dare try to act like any of this is my fault in the first place.’
Crack!
The space between them abruptly cracked, causing Leon’s eyes to widen in surprise.
Crack!!
"I’ll make sure you pay for this!" As Kronos spoke, the crack within them rapidly widened in size, extending to the rest of the area.
Crack!!!
Shatter!!
"Manaless Mage!!" Kronos shouted, and the space between them completely shattered into pieces, like broken glass.
Leon’s eyes widened slightly at this sight, however, the sight before him changed at that instant.
’I’m back!’ He thought, narrowing his eyes at the bubbling white clouds and clear blue sky before him.
He had reappeared in the sky on earth, and was currently falling to the ground at terrifying speed.
Nonetheless, that didn’t pose him ant problem.
"Light wings." He muttered, immediately summoning a large pair of bright white wings on his back.
With a few flaps of the wings, he quickly stabilised himself in the air, effortlessly regaining his balance.
Swoosh!!
’I need to meet up with the rest of them.’ He thought, swiftly flying down at rapid speed, propelling himself with the pair of light wings on his back.
The speed at which he flew through the air was extremely fast, and within a few seconds, he passed through countless clouds, and the image of the earth finally appeared in his line of sight.
He quickly boosted his eyesight using his energy, giving him the ability to zoom in on what was going on below.
However, his eyes widened in shock at what he saw, and he quickly pushed himself with another burst of energy, greatly boosting his speed.
The first person he saw wasn’t Harry or anybody from the AMO, instead, it was a tall man with bulging muscles and deathly pale skin.
He was staring down at a familiar figure with light brown hair, and fiery fire rings blazing around his body.
There were also countless manaless roaming the streets, with people scampering around in horror.
The AMO were trying desperately to hold back the beasts, but they were simply too much for them to handle, and some of them managed to slip out of their grasp.
Nonetheless, what really made him wary was what was in the strange man’s hand—a long pitch black spear!
He could easily recognise that spear, as it was the exact one that was used to impale Harry in what was shown by that clock!
’Damn it!’ He thought, moving through the air at rapid speed.
Unfortunately for him, he had reappeared so far up in the sky, so the distance between him and the ground was very wide.
However, he could only hope he was able to get there fast enough.
After a few seconds, he finally came out of the skies, and the image of the man became a lot clearer in his sight.
"Leon!" He heard Harry shout out in joy, but he simply ignored him.
’Time freeze.’ The image of a giant green clock suddenly appeared behind him, and a bright green energy immediately bursted out of it, sweeping past the surrounding.
Everything instantly came to a halt; whether it was the Harry, or the man, and even the mana beasts roaming about.
They all completely froze, with Leon being the only one who could move freely.
Swoosh!!
’Piercing ray!’ Leon thought, and a compressed beam of light immediately shot out from his palm, closing in on the tall pale man in a split second.
Spurt!
The beam tore through his back, stabbing through his heart with immense force.
However, unlike the last time, the beam didn’t sear through his body, only stopping after bursting through his heart.
He didn’t want to risk mistakenly killing Harry with his attack, so he controlled it to stop within the man alone.
All these happened within a split second, and in the next, the flow of time suddenly returned to normal.
Spurt!
"What?!" The pale man shouted, coughing out blood as he dropped to his knees, using the spear in his hands to support himself.
He didn’t understand, what the hell just happened?!
The last thing he remembered was that he was about to fight against the brown haired mage in front of him, and in the next, his heart was directly pierced by an attack.
"Y-you..." He muttered, blood dripping from the corner of his lips as he slowly to Leon.
"Hahahaa!!!" However, all of a sudden, he bursted into a loud laugh.
"I’ve been waiting for you... time mage!!" He shouted, and Leon’s eyes widened in shock.
