Master Of None-Chapter 2582. Activated
Chapter 2582: 2582. Activated
Being honest with himself, Walker knew that the speech he had just given was not much of a speech. It made him question if he was actually a little too tired and should sit down and just do nothing for a little while to reset his brain.
What he didn’t realize as he and the others entered the Genesis building to get to the mapping hall built for their magic tool, were the reactions of the people.
Those who had any business traveling, felt as if they were getting the best gift they had ever heard of.
Maps had been a huge issue since many of the merchant trails or trade routes had been broken by the expansion of the world. Some were manageable but many merchants traveled routes that they believed to be safer or were created, if not discovered, by their families.
This left them with some fear that they would be starting over from scratch or at a greater risk since they might encounter monsters on the routes they were taking. Let alone, when they were cutting through wilderness areas that were between the broken areas in their routes.
The merchants alone had created some of the largest conversations. Many of them had been to used on the fact that they even traveled the newly built roads to the eleven forest which had trees lining it to give the current forested queen a connection to Genesis and allow her travel from there to here. Having the area mapped would allow the rebuilding and improvement to move faster. freewebnσvel.cѳm
All this could mean increased safety and travel to make more gold coins fall in to their hands. Something that they all wanted.
There was also the fact it would increase the trade in all kingdoms to a high degree though.
With that, there would be an increase in crime. The people who didn’t wish to live an honest life could also take advantage of these new maps. They could find the best places to hide out and steal or worse, kill.
This was why adventurers and some guards were standing with acceptance. They could do the same as a criminal. Find the best places to protect their clients and arrest those who wish to live their worst life. Furthermore,’ it would mean more consistent marked trade route escort quests.
Anyone who had experience in a specific trade route would be more valuable to a merchant. Meaning that these adventurers could become experts on specific routes. Making them constantly employed.
That was when Walker and the others got this working. While others wanted to see the world that they might not be able to walk all of through maps, it all depended on the maps being able to be made.
"The central core is already functioning. It’s just partial." Walker knew that all the connections were not linked yet. He also knew that the crates of diamond shaped metal parts which would hold and show the manas of an area needed to be connected properly to function as a whole.
The smaller tools that would send information were simpler. Orbs, or similar cores, mainly focused on just having runes that detected changes in mana flow along with communication through unique communication crystals to the main tool. The turns on them were much less in collect carving than the main tool gathering all the information.
They were also much easier for the average guard or person general to use. It required minimal mana and simple instructions. They could even use mana crystals to activate it and keep it functioning for long periods of time. Not that it couldn’t function off of ambient manas but it was just better to have someone checking the smaller tools regularly.
The four stood looking at the parts and saw that Walker had already begun to channel some mana in to the room. He was preparing everything they would need so that their work would not halt. Their work would not suffer any potential failure because they did not have enough mana to link the tunes and finish the connections entirely.
The small wires and metal or wood links that held the diamond mana gathering portions were being fixed in place by the wandering blacksmith and Jan. Both of them could easily see these parts connected physically. The metal wires would melt away or degrade as the tune formations took over later.
For those rune parts to connect, Abe had to focus on them. He was carving and attaching flowing mana together from his formations. Each layered intricate formation had been mapped in his mind perfectly.
For a rune carving master obsessed with rune formations and learning more, keeping the formations he made in his mind straight even though Walker couldn’t was child’s play. He saw every turn formation mixing like a perfect art piece coming together. For him, this was a work of a lifetime that birthed new history for all the carvers but also showed everything he’d learned while trapped by the oppression of stronger demons.
"The other links don’t need anything but mana. Walker, that’s on you." Jan gave a shout for Walker to add mana to all of the other diamond pieces. Their rune formations worked in tandem with the existing rune formations to be able to follow the directions of the main formations. They would replicate environments on the global map as they received information about how to do so.
The mana he channeled toward the crates caused a pressure to take over the hall made for this. The diamond pieces of metal and wood hovered in the air as they were drawn to the active tube formations and floated in place. They wouldn’t move until there was any other information to follow.
As Abe connected the rune formations, the mana was absorbed rapidly in to the central core and utilized the elemental core created. Walker felt the manas calming as the wooden parts were more natural so that they flowed without damage. Weather could be shown without breaking the device. It was an aspect that many with nature related classes could focus on and learn from.
Pushing passed this, there was even mana being absorbed that Walker was surprised by. He felt some space mana pulled in making it clear that this magic device was more than what they had intended. The space mana would allow for mixing of manas to be shown much more clearly than before.
There was space mana everywhere and in everything for the most part. Yet here, it was allowing the space that the tool took up to become even better implemented.
"More mana!" Abe bellowed as he cut small groove directly in to the central core. He was activating everything. Linking the final parts as the core was floating in the air and connecting to every diamond shaped piece preparing to use mana to show what information it received.
The rune formations flared to life in different hues of mana. Some mixing some clashing but every single one flowing. Walker also activated a small orb that would map the city. A small orb connected to the larger tool allowing mana within the city and the lands around the main city, the dragon territories, to be seen clearly.
The second it was done, mana surged and Walker began witnessing the diamond shaped parts change. Mimicking the highest of buildings and even copying the layouts of farm fields.
Everything was being built to be seen as if from an aerial view. Even the water mana moving in the sky where a squadron of farm mages were watering a field could be seen gathering so that it could be mapped.
Their breaths caught in their throats in awe. This wasn’t simple it wasn’t small. It was massive. It was spectacular. It didn’t come with any world breaking surge of mana. There was no loud crack or huge world announcement. It came in silence. It came with silent pride and beauty.
This was an accomplishment for the betterment of Genesis and also to complete the chain quest which Walker possessed. He didn’t care about the quest thigh. He cared that he was seeing the results of their hard work.
Years of skill and dedication came together to both open new crafting paths but also to create this amazing work.
The second the final time clicked in to place and mana flowed through it, the entire magic tool expanded. Most was empty and just held mana waiting for information, but the size was filling the majority of the hall created underneath the entire Genesis building for it.
This globe of magic and mana was exactly what they’d desired and more.
"Congratulations. This is the first world mapping magic tool ever created by our alliance." Walker spoke softly. He didn’t need to put more force in his words. He knew the value of this just as the others did too.
