Mr. CEO, You Look Strangely Familiar-Chapter 43: It Really Was Him
Nora Ainsworth burst out laughing. "Are you going to pull out a gun?"
He scoffed. "You really underestimate me. Is she even worth the effort?"
Nora turned to the side, resting her arm on the back of the sofa. Holding her drink, she clinked her glass against his. "Cheers."
Leon took a small sip and glanced at the stairs. "You came down, but why didn’t your sister?"
"Her boyfriend is up there with her."
"Oohhh~" He grinned wickedly. "In that case, your sister won’t be down for a while. The two of them need to get a little ’exercise’ in, don’t they?"
"Is that so?" A wan smile played on Nora’s lips.
"Nora!" Chloe Marshall called out as she walked over, following behind Ethan Ellsworth.
Nora greeted Chloe, "Chloe, come sit over here."
Chloe instinctively glanced at Ethan Ellsworth. Only when he showed no reaction did she dare to sit beside Nora.
"Nora, this place is so luxurious. The Grant family is seriously rich."
Nora nodded in agreement. "They are."
Chloe whispered, "Nora, I just saw Young Master Grant’s sister."
Nora raised an eyebrow. "What about it?"
"When she saw Boss Ellsworth, she turned around and walked away. The look on his face was awful."
The words were barely out of her mouth when Ethan Ellsworth glared at her. "Idiot, what are you babbling about?"
Chloe looked up at him and gave an awkward laugh. "I was just telling Nora that you have tons of fans."
Ethan Ellsworth was speechless. "As if you need to tell me that."
The group sat there for a long time, but Quentin Grant never came back downstairs, not even when the party ended.
The sky was overcast. This winter seemed especially cold, with snow and rain falling intermittently.
The group stood outside the Grant Residence.
"Where has Young Master Grant been all this time?" 𝚏𝕣𝕖𝚎𝚠𝚎𝚋𝚗𝐨𝐯𝕖𝕝.𝕔𝐨𝕞
Leon chuckled. "He and Nora’s sister are probably... tied up."
The corner of Ethan Ellsworth’s mouth twitched. He glanced at Nora but said nothing more.
Nora spoke up hurriedly, "It’s freezing. Leon, let’s go home."
"Okay, I’ll go get the car. You wait here," Leon said, heading toward the parking area.
"Idiot, here’s a two-hundred-dollar bonus for tonight. Take a cab home yourself." Ethan Ellsworth pulled out two hundred and handed it to her.
Chloe quickly took the money, a smile spreading across her face. "Thank you, Boss Ellsworth! I’ll get home on my own."
Ethan Ellsworth turned and walked away. Chloe’s smile stung Nora’s eyes. "Nora, I’m heading out now."
"Okay."
With her bag over her shoulder, she walked cheerfully down the main road.
Just then, Quentin Grant and Sharon Ainsworth emerged.
Nora stood frozen. For some reason, she didn’t look back, but she had a feeling he’d come out. Perhaps she could distinguish the sound of his footsteps.
At that moment, Nora thought, ’I should just walk forward without looking back, regardless of whether it’s Quentin Grant behind me or not.’
And in fact, that’s exactly what she did.
As Leon’s car pulled up, she jogged over and got into the passenger seat.
The car quickly pulled away. As it rounded a corner, she couldn’t resist glancing out the window. Sure enough, it was him.
But he wasn’t looking at her car. Nora pulled her gaze away.

When she returned to the Ainsworth Residence, Mr. and Mrs. Ainsworth were already home.
She greeted them and went upstairs.
For some reason, she pulled out her phone to check it. No new messages, no missed calls.
Nora sat there in silence. ’I must be sick,’ she thought. ’I think I’m losing my mind.’
