MY 10,000× DIMENSIONAL SYSTEM-Chapter 232: Achievements
Achievements
Joel woke up with a start. He grunted and tried to sit up, but failed and his body was overcome with weakness. That surprised him. Due to the natural Aura of vitality Lady Eidrasil released across the planet, people tended to recover from whatever ailed them much faster. So that either meant that he hadn't been unconscious for long, or he had pushed himself far more than was healthy.
Speaking of, what HAD he done to make himself this tired? His mind was still fuzzy, but that's when he caught sight of the interface in the corner of his eye, and then all the memories came flooding back.
The appearance of the system, his choice of the Skill Mastery path, his placing all his skill points in his Blacksmiths' Insight, the sudden explosion of inspiration, and the strange way he forged the sword.
The success.
His breathing grew ragged as he tried to calm himself down. That's when he remembered that he heard two distinct 'ding' sounds through his trance, and judging by the way the system interface blinked in the corner of his vision, he assumed that's what it was.
He focused on it, and his stats panel appeared again, and when he read through it, he immediately noticed some differences.

Joel blinked, and then he immediately became excited. He knew that achievements were needed to add to his so-called 'records' which granted him better Paths for evolution.
He focused on it, and indeed, it showed the full extent of his achievement.
[Crimson Apotheosis (Silver): Through sheer determination, you have burned the very essence of your blood and poured your heart and soul into your craft, creating an item beyond your current rank at an age many would struggle to create even basic items. But you went above and beyond, a truly significant achievement.]
Joel blinked. He'd been expecting... more.
Sure, the description painted his achievement as grand, but for it to only be at Silver rank? That implied that below it was b bronze. Was his achievement only good enough to be placed in the second ranking for achievements?
Sensing his confusion and perhaps disappointment, the system showed a window detailing the different ranks of achievements and examples of what one needed to do to receive the adequate ranking, and Joel was snapped out of his disappointment in an instant.
[Grade Tiers (from lowest to highest):
1. Bronze – Common achievements; usually firsts or basic milestones.
Ex: First kill, learning a new skill.
Effect: Minor recognition, recorded for reference only.
2. Silver – Notable, but not rare. Often signifies specialization or early mastery.
Ex: Unlocking a unique skill, defeating a regional boss, crafting a rare item.
Effect: May influence titles or unlocks.
3. Gold – Difficult or significant. Denotes real power or rare feats.
Ex: Soloing a high-ranked enemy, creating a new technique, achieving a transformation.
Effect: Enhanced visibility in Records. Can unlock rare titles.
4. Platinum – Extremely rare and influential. Often changes how systems view the user.
Ex: Surviving against a catastrophe, obtaining a powerful artifact, affecting fate.
Effect: Often grants Titles, system boons, or unlocks hidden mechanics.
5. Mythic – Legendary feats that shape narratives and history.
Ex: Slaying a Scion, defying a Paragon's will, altering cause and effect.
Effect: May influence world/system laws. Auto-flagged by Overseer Core.
6. Transcendent – Outside classification; anomalies of cause, reality, or fate.
Ex: Creating a Concept, defeating something outside existence, overriding Authority.
Effect: Reserved for the Master and very few others. Often unlisted unless authorized.
Joel read through the list and felt whatever disappointment he had vanish. Instead, he felt a bit terrified.
'Affecting fate, defying a Paragon, altering cause and effect, creating concepts, what sort of extreme expectations are these???' He couldn't help but be stunned. Sure, achievements were called achievements because the person did something significant that no one else had done, but these were insane!
No wonder he only got a silver ranked achievement.
But when Joel thought about it, it made some sense.
The Primordial Expanse was abundant with resources, and there were opportunities for everyone.
It was kinda expected that its inhabitants were nothing short of spectacular in whatever area they decided to focus on.
'I mean, look at Felicia's brother, Titus, he gained the recognition of the Master, gained the recognition of the Legend Sword, got a significant position in the Genesis Corps with his efforts, played a role during the conquest for the hidden realm... damn okay maybe I just suck.' As he recounted all of his possibly future brother-in-law's achievements, he realized that his achievement was indeed lacking compared to that, so he had no right to complain.
What was important was that he had the means at his disposal to excel. Ever since the Dimension became a thing, it was just opportunities for everyone, and the resources weren't lacking in any way, so no one had to fight themselves for benefits.
Now, with the appearance of the system, not only could he make his growth more focused, he could also make it more efficient. In other words, he couldn't be complaining about how difficult it was to get significant achievements when all the means to attain such achievements were literally at his feet.
He then looked at his new energy resource that hadn't been there before. Ignitable Blood.
Seeing it so low, he guessed that's why he felt so weak. He never used the ability outside just using his hammer to shape whatever he was forging, and even then, he never increased the intensity too much.
But back there, it was like whatever inhibitions he had completely vanished. He didn't care about how much blood he was burning, nor did he care about the way his body would be affected after. His mind was focused on his craft and his craft alone, and that was dangerous.
But also enlightening.
He now discovered new ways to use the flames that he hadn't considered before. Like when he infused them into the furnace, he didn't just increase their temperature, he also made the flames that already had the effect of burning away impurities to actively feed the metal and increase its positive properties and make it capable of handling more advanced runes that were etched into its surface.
When he was striking it with his hammer, his flames didn't just increase his understanding of the creation as well as his connection to it, it was actively being molded according to his will.
That's also when he realized the true power behind his flames. They didn't just enhance his body or make him a better blacksmith, they affected the very world around him and bent it to his will.
It wasn't strong, heck, he was a bit doubtful that was what actually happened and was more certain it was something of a similar, albeit lower grade.
Still, that didn't take away from the splendor such a skill held.
That meant that based on his Mastery over the skill, forging wouldn't just become easier, but his Paths were suddenly far more numerous and clear.
And that was something he liked.
That's also when he noticed one of his skills seemed to have changed a bit. He focused on it and was pleasantly surprised when he saw the Skill.
[Samadhi (Level 9)]
He recalled that Samadhi was what many considered to be the highest form of concentration or focus. This checked out since every time he began to forge, he could drown out the rest of the world and just focus on his task, unable to be disturbed unless someone stood directly in front of him.
He guessed the level came from his state of epiphany where nothing, not even his deteriorating condition as a result of overusing his Blood Ignition. But that also concerned him a little bit. Did that mean every time he was forging, he'd be so focused that absolutely nothing could disturb him? If so, what woukd he do if something bad was about to happen?
However, he soon calmed down as a prompt from the system let him know that he could use Skills according to his desires. So he could return to that intense state of concentration, or less if he wanted.
That was a relief.

A/N: This is an official apology from me concerning the continuous non-chapters that appear from time to time. It's unfortunate, but my life is quite hectic against my will, especially now as I'm in a stage where I'm writing a bunch of exams that aren't treating my ADHD nicely, so I haven't been able to write to my heart's content.
So to everyone that spent their coins to buy a 'chapter', this is an official apology. I made you spend your money pointlessly, and that's on me.
