My Beast Evolution System-Chapter 38. Two Predators Against A Munchkin.
"Thank you, Your Highness, and sorry for bothering you with something like this," Aaron said, expressing his gratitude, but Aurora simply replied with a smile and a nod before heading towards the greenhouse.
Meanwhile, Glimmer noticed the sad look on Luna’s face as she stared at Aaron’s back.
Aaron was currently standing in front of Luna, but since he hadn’t said anything since Aurora agreed to help her, Luna was worried that he might still be mad at her even if he didn’t want to admit that he was.
However, Glimmer had finally gotten the gist of what happened and she didn’t like the tense atmosphere between Aaron and Luna, so she walked closer to Aaron, rubbing and nuzzling her nose against his leg with the hope that it would brighten up his mood. 𝚏𝕣𝐞𝗲𝐰𝕖𝐛𝐧𝕠𝕧𝚎𝚕.𝐜𝚘𝗺
Seeing this, Aaron smiled and asked. "Glimmer, what do you think? Should I forgive my sister for bothering the princess with the mess she made?"
*Yip!! Yip!!* Glimmer replied with a cute yip as her tails wagged excitedly behind her.
"Hmm, I should, huh? But she walked into my room, took something without telling me first, almost ruined the greenhouse, and now, the princess is the one cleaning up the mess she made."
Glimmer whimpered sadly and her ears fell flat against her head as well.
Luna also lowered her gaze and gripped her dress tightly when she suddenly realized all the things she had done, but Aaron’s next words forced her to lift her head and look at him.
"Well, since she apologized, I guess her punishment will be reduced to endless tickling by the two of us, what do you think?" Aaron asked Glimmer, and Luna’s eyes widened in surprise.
"Huh?" She was taken aback by what Aaron just suggested, but before she could even say anything, Glimmer replied by barking twice.
"Great, then it’s settled. We’ll be tickling her until we’re satisfied, agreed?"
Glimmer barked once again, and Luna took two steps backward when she suddenly realized how serious Aaron and Glimmer were. "Big brother, are you really...."
Before Luna could finish asking Aaron if he was really going to tickle her at a time like this, she suddenly noticed him dropping to the ground on all fours.
Now, Aaron and Glimmer slowly approached Luna like the predators that they were.
"Big brother, wait, you don’t have to do this," Luna slowly walked backward, away from them. But her lips were now smiling, and deep down, she really wanted Aaron and Glimmer to chase after her because she’d rather forget about the mess she had made and just play and giggle with her big brother instead of feeling tense around him.
Besides, it’s been ages since she last played with Aaron and right now, Luna really wanted to play with him because it helped her to recall the fun she used to have with him in the past.
Meanwhile, Aaron and Glimmer continued to prowl steadily toward their prey, with their mouths drooling as though they had just seen the juiciest meat ever.
Seeing this, Luna couldn’t help but giggle a bit more. She decided to playfully change Aaron’s mind, but before she could say anything, Aaron spoke first.
"Run."
Luna didn’t waste a second before turning around and running straight to her room.
Of course, Aaron and Glimmer gave chase like a lion chasing after their prey, and it didn’t take long for the two predators to gently tackle the little munchkin, bringing her down to the ground gently and tickling her in a way that caused the entire corridor to be filled with Luna’s laughter.
Her laughter continued for a while and the tense atmosphere between the two siblings vanished as though it hadn’t been there before, and everyone enjoyed the rest of their evening together.
Aurora returned back to her bedroom after she was done fixing the flowers in the greenhouse. Meanwhile, Luna visited her again that night to show her gratitude for it, but while the two ladies conversed in Aurora’s bedroom, Diana returned back to the mansion with two bags of yellow mana crystals in her hands.
It hadn’t been easy to find the crystals, but Diana made sure she found them before returning to the mansion.
She also notified Aaron that she had spotted Thunderhoof on the outskirts of the city when she left the city in the morning and arrived in the evening.
She might not be an expert on matters relating to magical beasts, but Diana believed the stag might have been hoping to see Aaron once again, hence why he had been waiting for him to step out of the city.
Hearing all these, Aaron expressed his gratitude and he immediately made up his mind to visit the forest the next morning to see the stag once again. Hopefully, the stag would be close to the city’s gates if he decided to look for him.
The next morning came in a flash, and Aaron stepped out of his bedroom right after he had eaten and taken a bath, but just when he was about to step out of the mansion, Luna’s voice emerged from behind.
"Big brother, where are you going?"
"To see a friend."
"A friend?"
"Yeah, I won’t be out for too long and I will be back before you know it."
"Um, can I tag along?"
"If you want to."
"Yes, I do."
"Alright, stay close, okay?"
Luna nodded excitedly with a smile on her face. She walked alongside Glimmer who was also stepping out of the mansion.
Within minutes, they had arrived at the city’s main gates, but when Luna noticed that Aaron intended to step out of the city by mounting a horse and riding off, Luna couldn’t help but ask. "Huh, we’re leaving the city? I thought you wanted to see a friend of yours?"
"Yes."
"Then, why are we stepping out of the city gates?"
"That’s because my friend is a magical beast."
"Really? What type of magical beast, is he a male Glimmerfox?"
Aaron chuckled before replying to her. "No, he isn’t a fox."
"Then, what type of beast is he?"
"Patience little one, you’ll know when you see him," Aaron assured her and patted her head gently before they rode straight to where Diana had spotted Thunderhoof last night.
