Chapter 39: 39. A Peaceful Moment With Luna And His Beasts.

A few minutes later, Aaron and Luna finally arrived at the spot where Diana saw Thunderhoof, but looking around, they couldn’t find the stag anywhere.

However, neither of them was ready to give up just yet, so they continued to look around their surroundings in search of the stag.

After a while, Aaron suddenly stopped as he looked ahead, into the distance. There, he could see a creature stepping out of the forest with an air of grace and regality around it.

Of course, the creature was none other than Thunderhoof because the stag had electrical sparks crackling around its antlers.

Luna also noticed the stag and she gasped while clutching Aaron’s arm. "Is that...?" She began to ask, but Aaron smiled and nodded in response.

"Yes, that’s my friend."

"Wow," Luna whispered as her eyes widened with wonder while staring at the majestic beast in front of her. "He’s beautiful."

Meanwhile, the stag simply stood there, looking tall and proud. It had noticed the two siblings with Glimmer by their side, but the Thunderhoof made no move to flee. It would have approached Aaron by now but he didn’t do so because of Luna.

The Thunderhoof had never seen Luna until today, so he wasn’t really sure if he could trust her as much as he did Aaron and Glimmer.

Instead, it remained still and cautious in order to gauge the situation since it had never seen Luna before.

Noticing this, Aaron crouched down beside his sister and gently placed a hand on her shoulder. "He’s beautiful, isn’t he?" He asked in a whisper.

"Yes."

"You want to pet him, don’t you?"

"Can I?"

"Yes, you can, but if you want to do that, we’ll need to approach him carefully, Luna. Based on what I’ve seen so far, I know Thunderhoof is a bit proud but also kind, and he’ll let us near him if we show him we mean no harm."

Luna nodded eagerly and asked. "How do we do that?"

Aaron smiled and gestured towards the ground. "First, you’ll need to keep your movements slow and steady. You don’t need to rush towards him. Remember, we need to let him see that you’re not a threat to him," Aaron instructed and his little sister nodded in understanding.

However, Luna giggled softly when she noticed Glimmer mimicking Aaron’s crouch as her tails wagged excitedly behind her. "Look, Glimmer’s trying to learn too!" The little girl chuckled once again and Aaron did the same as well.

"Well, it looks like you’ve got a partner, Luna. You two can approach him together. Just remember to remain calm when doing it."

Luna nodded confidently, then she and Glimmer slowly stepped towards the Thunderhoof at a calm and gentle pace.

The magical beast watched them intently as they approached him. His head tilted slightly and his antlers sparkled faintly as well, but it could sense Luna’s innocence and curiosity, so its proud stance softened a bit.

He took a cautious step forward and his hooves barely made a sound on the forest floor. Luna noticed him approaching her and her heart raced a bit, but she kept her composure while her eyes sparkled with excitement.

Meanwhile, Glimmer followed her lead and mirrored her steps as well, and as they drew closer to the stag, the Thunderhoof leaned down slightly with its eyes meeting hers.

When the Thunderhoof did this, it seemed like he could sense Luna’s pure-hearted intent and so he allowed her to gently place a hand on his sleek coat.

Luna gasped with delight when her fingers brushed against the stag’s fur, and she couldn’t help but turn towards Aaron with excitement. "Big brother, look! I’m touching him."

"You’re doing great, Luna," Aaron smiled and leaned against a nearby tree as he watched his little sister.

"His fur is so soft, I like him."

Aaron chuckled and replied. "I think he likes you too."

"What do you think we should call him?"

"Hmm, would you like to give him a name?"

"Can I?"

"Yes, if you really want to."

"Then, what about Sparkles?" Luna suggested.

"Nah, I don’t think that would be a good name for him."

"Hmm, you’re right, then what about Thunder!! It sounds manly and I like it."

Thunderhoof stumped his feet on the ground a bit to draw their attention towards him, then he leaned closer to Luna before licking her cheeks, causing the little girl to giggle.

"Hehe, hehe... Stop Thunder."

"Hmm, I guess Thunder likes his new name as well."

"Hehe, I knew you’d like it," Luna said, petting the head of the stag even more.

"He’s your friend now, Luna. Because he trusts you and he wants you to feel the same way towards him."

Luna felt encouraged by Aaron’s words so she gently ran her hand along the stag’s side.

Of course, Thunder continued to lick her cheeks and Luna’s laughter echoed softly across the forest as the two of them slowly began to build a bond. 𝚏𝗿𝗲𝐞𝚠𝕖𝐛𝗻𝗼𝐯𝕖𝚕.𝚌𝗼𝗺

Meanwhile, Glimmer eyed Thunder with mischief in her gaze. She then padded over to Thunder’s towering legs before tapping one of his legs lightly with her paw.

Thunder opened an eye before looking down at the tiny fox in front of him, but he made no move.

Seeing this, Glimmer trotted a short distance away, only to rush forward again and nudge the stag’s leg before darting off with a playful and cute yip.

Thunder tilted his head in confusion and wondered what was wrong with the weird little fox.

Luna did the same as well, so she asked Aaron. "Big brother, why is Glimmer acting so weird?"

Aaron chuckled with a knowing look before replying. "Glimmer just wants to play tag with Thunder."

"Really?" Luna’s eyes lit up with amusement. Just like Glimmer, Luna loved playing tag and she couldn’t hide her excitement after hearing that Glimmer wanted to play tag with Thunder, but she turned towards Aaron and asked, with a curious look on her face.

"Do you think Thunder will play with her?"

Aaron shrugged with a grin on his face before turning his gaze back to his two beasts. "Let’s see if Glimmer can convince him to play with her."
