My Beast Evolution System-Chapter 42. Battling Against The Demonic Wolf.
Seeing this, the wolf felt a bit relaxed and its legs shook a bit before it became too weak to maintain its balance, causing it to drop down to the ground in pain and exhaustion.
It turned out that the wolf had lost a lot of blood and it could barely remain standing, but it acted like it could because it simply wanted to scare off Aaron and Glimmer.
However, It growled weakly when it noticed Aaron getting too close to it, but since the wolf had lost a lot of blood, it could barely move away from him.
Glimmer continued to bark at the wolf to distract it from noticing Aaron and what he was about to do.
Aaron was now dangerously close to the wolf and he could see several deep claw marks on the large beast’s side with a large pool of blood spreading around the beast.
’This is bad, he is bleeding at an alarming rate,’ Aaron uttered internally. 𝙛𝓻𝒆𝒆𝒘𝙚𝓫𝙣𝙤𝒗𝙚𝓵.𝙘𝙤𝙢
He could sacrifice ten bond energy points to try to heal the beast, but that didn’t mean that the wolf would suddenly become friendly to him if he saved it.
Merely looking at the beast in front of him, Aaron felt that the frost fang wolf was probably stronger than both Thunder and Glimmer. However, he wasn’t sure about this and he didn’t want to risk putting himself and Glimmer in danger.
Glimmer had done so much for him since he arrived in this world, and the last thing he wanted was to heal a beast that would end up being the cause of her death or the death of any other beast or person he cared about.
And so, with this thought in mind, Aaron hesitated over saving the beast, but Glimmer began barking at him, drawing his attention towards her while also letting him know that the wolf was running out of time.
Aaron got the message and decided to trust his gut which was telling him to save the beast. ’Here goes nothing.’
He closed his eyes and placed his palms on the body of the beast.
The frost fang wolf’s body glowed a bit, and it began to heal slowly, but when it stopped glowing, Aaron noticed that only a part of the wolf’s body had been healed.
The wounds were no longer as serious as they had looked when he first noticed them, but the wolf hadn’t been healed completely yet.
’I guess this means I’ll have to try healing him again.’
’And this means that I’ll be sacrificing another ten bond energy points to heal him,’ Aaron came to this realization, but before he could do anything, he and Glimmer suddenly heard footsteps heading in their direction.
They turned around to see that the girls were the ones heading towards them with Thunder trailing behind them.
"What happened?" Diana asked as she approached Aaron and Glimmer.
"We heard Glimmer barking," Aurora added, standing right behind Diana, but then she noticed the huge wolf beside Aaron and asked. "Isn’t that a frost fang wolf?"
Before Aaron could give her a response, Glimmer made a low growl, forcing everyone to notice a massive beast that was slowly creeping out of the shadows.
The beast had a huge fur and its glowing red eyes were fixed on the group.

Even with the strength of Aaron’s group combined, the threat level of the alpha wolf in front of them was still very high, and it just went to show how dangerous the demonic wolf was; it was unlike any other beast they had faced before now.
The Frost Claw Alpha was a massive beast with thick ice covering his fur-like armor.
Not only was the beast dangerous offensively, but its defensive side wasn’t a joke either. However, Aaron noticed that everyone in his group had a strong desire to defeat the beast in front of them.
No one looked scared or worried about the large beast in front of them, and it simply served as proof of how much they believed in themselves and each other.
With a smirk on his face, Aaron drew his sword. "Diana, we’re flanking it. Your Highness, I need you to focus on weakening its ice armor. Glimmer, distract it long enough to create an opening for Thunder," Aaron gave out instructions and everyone spread out.
The large beast roared and charged straight at Aaron with a terrifying speed, but Aaron barely sidestepped its claws while his sword scratched the thick, icy body of the wolf.
Aurora didn’t waste a second more before casting a heat-based spell that melted some of the frost on the wolf’s body.
Aaron swiftly activated his {Flame Wrap} skill before activating his {Inferno Strike}skill as well, then he aimed a barrage of fireballs at the beast and Glimmer did the same while she distracted the beast.
The huge beast roared in agony and tried to distance itself from them, but the trio didn’t allow it to do that.
Meanwhile, with three long flame projectiles aimed toward the alpha from different angles, it didn’t take long for the wolf’s icy body to thaw due to the intense heat of the flames around it.
Diana noticed this and she swiftly darted forward before swinging her sword at the beast’s exposed joints.
The huge wolf howled in pain once again before it swiftly turned to swipe his sharp claws at her.
However, Diana rolled away just in time to avoid the Alpha’s attack, but the beast wasn’t ready to give up so easily. It tried once again to swipe its claws at the dark elf, but a bright lightning bolt struck straight at the beast’s chest while a large spear of ice was aimed straight at the alpha’s head, splitting it into two in the process.
Seeing the huge beast collapse on the ground with its head split in half, everyone turned around slowly to see who made that final strike.
Aaron and Diana had expected it to be Aurora, but Aurora was equally as surprised as everyone else and when she turned around, she noticed the injured frost fang wolf barely standing on its own as it glanced at everyone in the clearing; almost as though it wanted to make sure it didn’t forget their faces.
Finally, once he was satisfied, the large wolf limped away from their vicinity.
