My Beast Evolution System-Chapter 68. Chatting With Thunder And Blizzard.

’ I do have a lot of things to talk about but we’ve been busy all day and tomorrow we’ll be heading out to face against the basilisk, won’t we?" Thunder asked.

"Yes, that’s right," Aaron replied back while staring at the stars in the sky. He wasn’t really surprised to see Thunder asking him these questions because he expected Glimmer to have briefed them about this with all the other things she had told them already.

’I’ve been wondering, have you ever encountered a basilisk before?’ Aaron asked Thunder.

’No, not really, but I have heard about them a couple of times,’

’Oh, I see, but what about you, Blizzard?’

’I have, but it was a long time ago,"

"How did it look like?"

"Like a serpent, small, fast and deadly,’

’How did you manage to win against it?’

’I didn’t, because it was the Alpha, at the time that fought against it. But even he struggled to win against a demon as fast as the basilisk,’

’How did he win against it?’

’It’s like I said, a basilisk is fast and as s Frostfang, our specialty is slowing things down but this didn’t work against the serpent. It was just too fast and powerful to be stopped by simple means, so the alpha had to do something extraordinary to win against it,’

’Anything else I need to know before facing against it?’

’Yes, never get too close to a basilisk or else, they’ll squeeze you to death and.....’

’And?’

’Their breath stinks,’

’Oh, I’ll definitely remember that,’ Aaron tried his best to sound serious while stifling a laughter.

’I’m being serious here, the breath of a basilisk is not only bad, it’s poisonous and acidic as well,’

’Oh, I understand what you mean now,’

’Yes, and to be honest, I still think it is insane for us to fight against a basilisk,’

’So, you won’t be joining us?’

’I am not sure.....’

’Yeah, just sit back like the cowardly Alpha you are,’ Thunder chimed into the conversation.

’I am not afraid,’

’Of course you’re not. A coward would never open his mouth to admit that he’s a coward but I can smell one from a mile away,’

’Be warned stag, I might feel a bit peckish tonight,’ Blizzard locked his teeth.

’That’s not funny,’ Thunder squinted his eyes towards Blizzard who couldn’t help laughing.

’Anyways, if we’re going to fight against a basilisk, we’ll need to have a solid plan before making any move,’ Blizzard suggested.

’Yeah, don’t worry about that, I’ll think of something,’ Aaron assured his beasts and Blizzard nodded in understanding.

’Very well, then I guess it’s time for me to have my nap,’

’Okay, I’ll take the first watch, you guys should sleep first.’ Aaron said as he watched Thunder and Blizzard yawning before falling asleep.

However, he noticed a pair of eyes staring at him from the little Kitsune sitting on his lap.

’What’s wrong?’

’You didn’t ask me if I know anything about the basilisk,’

’Oh, is that so?’

’Yep,’ She replied with a nod.

’Alright, Glimmer, do you know anything about the basilisk that can help us win against it?’

’Nope, I know nothing about it because I have never seen one before,’

Aaron rolled his eyes with a smile on his face. He was somehow expecting this kind of response from her but he still asked nonetheless, so as to make his little Kitsune happy.

He slowly stroke her fur and the little Kitsune giggled and purred before curling comfortably on his lap.

Within minutes, she had fallen asleep and Aaron relaxed to think about everything that had happened today.

So many good and unexpected things had happened today, but of all the things that had occurred today, the one thing he was more pleased with was the skills he had obtained today.

This was because now, he could understand and communicate to his beasts and it felt nice to hear their voices in his head.

Aside from Glimmer’s voice which he had slowly become accustomed to hearing, Aaron was equally surprised and amazed by both Thunder and Blizzard’s voice.

For Thunder, the huge stag sounded like a young noble in his early twenties while Blizzard had a more raspy voice which came out as a surprise to Aaron.

With that aside, Aaron was also pleased with the things he had accomplished today, and the most glaring one of all, was the increase in loyalty in both the huge Rockbear and his little cubs.

And so, with this thought in mind, he summoned the system’s notification screen, with the intention of reviewing the notifications he had received today.

Looking at the screen displayed in front of him, Aaron could see that a lot of changes had occurred in his attributes and that of his beasts as well.

Also, even though he had used a lot of bond energy points to heal the Rockbear, he still had a high amount of bond energy points left behind.

This was thanks to the high bond energy points he had obtained in the past few days, courtesy of the intense training he had been undergoing with his three beast.

Aside from all these, not much changes had occurred in his elemental abilities but Aaron noticed that Glimmer’s power level potential had changed from D to B, meaning that she now had the potential to be as strong as Blizzard, who happened to be Aaron’s current strongest tamed beast.

Nothing much had changed in Thunder and Blizzard’s status but their power levels had increased a bit and that was a good enough benefit for Aaron.

As for the Rockbear, Aaron was surprised to see how high his power level was.

He knew Rockbear’s strength would be way higher than that of his current beasts but he wasn’t expecting the gap to be this much.

Moreover, it seems like Rockbear has the potential to become an S-rank magical beast.

’It would have been awesome if he had agreed to join me in taking down the basilisk,’ Aaron uttered in his thoughts.

’But I understand why he might feel reluctant to fight against the basilisk after witnessing the beast take down his mate,’

’Anyone would be traumatized by such a scene,’

’And the last thing he would want is to put his children lives at risk, hence why he would prefer to take them out of the forest,’

’I also understand his reasons behind this but the cubs are still too little to do anything on their own,’

’And I doubt he’ll be able to protect them on his own as well,’

’It would have been better if he saw things from my prospective,’

’Cause, to be honest, I feel it would benefit him and the cubs if he could return back home with us,’

’There’s food and his little ones will be able to grow safely in the barony..... hopefully,’

’I bet Luna would be excited to play with the two little cubs. Oh, and Glimmer too,’

’Hmm, speaking of Luna, that little girl definitely has a wild and weird side of her,’

’It’s strange to see a little girl around her age not feeling scared to approach and play with dangerous beasts like Thunder and Blizzard,’

’Well, she was scared at first, so I’ll give her credit for that but after her initial fear of the beast, Luna had never shown fear in front of the beasts ever since,’

’Yup, my little sister is definitely the bravest little girl I have ever seen,’ Aaron chuckled internally to himself before falling asleep on Blizzard’s soft white fur.
