My Borderline Supervillain-Slash-Hero System-Chapter 75 Fighting Prince Nahuel
Chapter 75: Chapter 75 Fighting Prince Nahuel
"Big brother!" Erlin exclaimed in surprise.
The man she called Big Brother was none other than Prince Nahuel of the Arthridian Kingdom, one of the most influential figures on the continent. He stood tall and proud, a well-built, strikingly handsome man clad in ornate silver armor that gleamed under the fractured light of the ruined sky.
Behind him, fifteen royal guards emerged, each clad in full-body silver armor, their presence silent but menacing.
The three agents, Zane, Shelby, and even Erlin froze mid-step near the spatial rift. Their vigilance spiked.
But no one was more alert than Sebastian Hemp.
His heart thudded. No. Not now... not when I’m this close to leaving. He was desperate to get out of this realm and away from any political scrutiny. He was a spy, after all—and he knew exactly how his kind were treated when caught.
Zane scanned the group, his All-Seeing Vision flickering as stats appeared above the guards.
Interesting. Each of them is just about on par with the three agents... all just over 6,500 points.
Then his gaze landed on Prince Nahuel.
And his jaw clenched.
Ding!
[Analyzing Target: Prince Nahuel — Brother-in-law]
[Strength = 9,789]
[Agility = 9,950]
[Intelligence = 9,890]
[Health: 15,560 / 15,566]
[Mana: 20,500 / 20,500]
What the hell... he’s nearing Two-Star Mana Core Realm. Zane blinked, mildly stunned. No wonder he leads a royal squad.
He stepped closer to Erlin and whispered, "You never told me you had a brother this strong."
"You never asked," she retorted without missing a beat.
Prince Nahuel’s eyes narrowed at the sight of Zane standing so intimately close to his sister. His glare cut like a blade.
Erlin immediately stepped between them, protective. "Why are you even here? Just step aside. This has nothing to do with you."
"I’ve been stepping aside for three years," Nahuel replied softly. "But not anymore. Come home, little angel. Mother and Father have been waiting. We all have. You’ve been gone far too long."
Zane watched the exchange in silence. So... he does care for her.
"Well, that’s sweet," Agent Kassam interjected sarcastically. "A touching reunion. Perfect time for us to hand her over and wrap this up. One problem solved. We’re leaving."
"Shut up!" Zane and Nahuel snapped in unison, their eyes locking. The tension crackled.
Kassam clenched his fists, but the other two agents quickly motioned for him to stand down.
Nahuel refocused on Erlin. "Didn’t I teach you how to cover your tracks if you didn’t want to be found? This time, you left clues all over Galbaza Town. You bought half the marketplace. The information broker didn’t even need persuasion—he sang the moment I walked into his house."
"Follow me, Erlin," he said with a firm but warm voice. "You don’t need to run anymore."
"I’m not changing my mind," she replied without hesitation. She clutched Zane’s hand tightly and declared, "This is Zane Carter—my husband. I will follow him wherever he goes. And now... I officially renounce my title of royalty."
"Don’t..." Prince Nahuel’s voice cracked slightly. He turned to his guards and barked, "No one heard that. Understood?"
"As you command, sire!" the fifteen guards replied in perfect unison, voices steady.
He turned back to her, face softening. "Little E... I’m begging you. At least return to the palace. Bring your human if you must."
"Don’t talk like he’s an object!" Erlin snapped. "He’s not just some human. He’s my husband!"
That’s when Shelby finally stepped forward, his usual laid-back demeanor replaced by calm authority.
"Prince Nahuel," he said evenly, "we’re going home. And that includes everyone here."
Prince Nahuel’s expression darkened. "No one is leaving this place. That includes the Wolf-boy and those three shady assassins of yours."
Zane stepped forward. "And if we don’t agree?" he said coldly. "What are you going to do?"
"I’ll be forced to act," Nahuel replied with a sneer. "I’ll beat you all down and drag you back myself."
"Alright. Good talk," Agent Kassam muttered, rolling his eyes. "I’m out." He dashed toward the spatial rift behind them.
But before he could pass through, two royal guards blurred into action, appearing in front of the portal like streaks of silver. They stabbed forward in perfect synchronicity, their spears aimed to kill.
Kassam reacted fast, swinging his blade with surgical precision, parrying both attacks at once.
The clash rang out like a bell of war.
Agent Elizabeth and Barun immediately jumped in to support him. In a matter of seconds, ten more guards joined the fray, surrounding the three agents. What began as a duel turned into an intense skirmish—three against twelve, blades flashing and spells bursting in the broken ruins.
Meanwhile, Prince Nahuel, his remaining three elite guards, Zane, Erlin, and Shelby stood still—tension thick between them.
Shelby turned to Zane and grinned. "Boy, I’ve got a wild idea."
Zane raised an eyebrow. Erlin stiffened.
"Your brother-in-law seems to be underestimating you," Shelby continued. "Why not prove him wrong? Fight him."
Erlin tightened her grip on Zane’s hand, glaring at Shelby. "Stop filling his head with bad ideas! My brother is no ordinary man—he’s a genius and one of the strongest in our kingdom. Zane’s barely finished recovering from fighting Sebastian!"
Shelby grinned. "Exactly. What better time to push your limits? That Vampire Prince over there is nearing the peak of One-Star Mana Core. You’re still in the early stage. That’s the perfect gap for learning something new... or dying trying," he teased with a chuckle.
Zane looked at Erlin, then gently tried to pull his hand free.
"No," she whispered, eyes pleading. "He’ll crush you. You’re not ready—he’ll turn you into dust!"
Zane held her gaze. "But he keeps talking down to me. Telling me to step aside. Telling you what to do. That... I can’t accept." He turned toward Nahuel. "Besides, I have my own way of doing things."
Erlin looked helpless. His words made sense. And knowing Zane, his mind was already set.
So, with a growl, she turned to the only person she could vent her fury on.
"You idiot, Nahuel! Everything was going fine until you showed up. I hate you!" she shouted, trembling.
Nahuel flinched like he’d been slapped. Her words echoed in his ears, ringing louder than any battlefield shout.
"If you hurt my husband, I’ll never talk to you again!" Erlin cried out.
Nahuel stepped back instinctively—nearly stumbling.
One of his guards stepped forward. "Your Highness—"
"I’m fine," Nahuel muttered, composing himself.
Watching all of this unfold, Zane didn’t know whether to laugh or cry. So this is what sibling bonds are like?
He stepped forward. "You’re clearly stronger than me. But are you really going to back out because your sister said a few harsh words, Brother-in-law?"
"Don’t call me that!" Nahuel snapped.
"Luminous Step!" Zane invoked.
His body flickered, and he appeared instantly beside Nahuel—his middle finger already extended, aiming a cheeky flick right at Nahuel’s forehead.
Nahuel slapped the hand aside like it was an annoying fly.
Zane staggered back three steps.
"Is that all you’ve got?" Nahuel said, unimpressed. "You fight like a girl."
Shelby chuckled. "Can’t argue with that. Boy, stop flicking people and punch him in the face! This isn’t a joke—box him, kick him, bite him if you must! He’s not your average sparring dummy!"
