Chapter 94: School Dilemm Part 1

Caden went back to his bedroom and saw Alira sleeping. Maybe she was just half awake earlier. He took a quick shower and lay down on the bed beside Alira.

He slowly lifted her head and placed his arm under it. Alira moved, turning to his side, and wrapped her arm to his waist.

"What took you so long?" She murmured.

"I’m here now. Let’s go to sleep." He said, hugging her back.

On the morning of the third day of the third month, Caden and Alira arrived five minutes before their class started. As soon as they stepped out of the car, they were immediately swarmed by reporters.

The royal guards and A.E security team were alarmed by the commotion so they quickly protected the two.

"What the hell is happening?" Caden asked when they were brought to the principal’s office.

The principal was a bit nervous and intimidated by Caden and Alira’s presence. Before he could answer, Lucas and the others barged into the office, making the principal more anxious.

"We have a problem." Lucas said in a serious tone.

Alira frowned. "What is it?"

The principal cleared his throat. "Well, a student named Gregory Allen is missing. And someone reported that one of your bodyguards dragged him inside a black van."

Alira’s chest pounded. She felt her heart would explode. Even though Caden didn’t tell her the name of the guy who placed the bottled water in the vendo the other day, she already knew it was Gregory Allen.

"His classmates were in a frenzy because apparently, he’s the class representative. They said he’s a responsible student and was never absent." The principal continued.

Caden was calm and Alira couldn’t understand the reason for his calmness. He admitted to killing the guy just the other day and now that everybody’s looking for him, they were in deep trouble.

"So, someone saw my men abducting the guy, right? What are you implying? That I have something to do with his disappearance?" Caden asked.

The principal was surprised and his anxiousness grew seeing Caden’s cold gaze.

"N-No! Of course not! They said he was dragged not abducted. I-I didn’t say you have something to do with him. B-But Your Highness, d-don’t you think t-this would ruin your reputation?" The principal stuttered.

Caden didn’t answer. Lucas sat on the chair across from Caden and then turned to the principal.

"Can you leave us? We have to talk in private." Lucas said.

He wasn’t asking, it was an order. The principal would not dare to disobey the heir of the Wilson Group. He knew he would be in trouble if he would disagree with Lucas so he nodded and quietly left the office.

Lucas stared at Caden. And Caden met his gaze.

"Where is he?" Lucas asked.

"Oh, now you believe them." Caden commented.

"Tell me one good reason I shouldn’t."

Caden chuckled. "I don’t have to tell you anything."

"Come on, Caden. What happened? What did you do to Gregory Allen? And what did he do for you to take an innocent guy?"

"What made you think he’s innocent?"

Lucas clicked his tongue. "I need to know, Caden. I can’t help you if you won’t tell me."

"You don’t have to. It’s on me. So I’ll fix this."

"Did you kill the guy?" It was Caroline who asked.

Alira and the others were shocked by Caroline’s question. They turned to Caden and waited for his response.

Don’t admit it. Just lie to them. Say that you don’t know anything. Tell them you have nothing to do with Gregory Allen. Those were the words repeatedly screaming into Alira’s head.

"And if I say yes?"

"What the hell, Caden? You can’t just kill someone!" Lucas exclaimed.

"It’s because of me!" Alira shouted.

Lucas turned to her in disbelief. "What?"

"I bought a bottled water in the vending machine, but it turned out, someone put it there. There’s an aphrodisiac in the water. If Caden didn’t notice, I might end up humiliating myself. That guy is being sponsored by Michael Cerro. He’s working under the Trekker Clan." She continued.

Lucas was taken aback. He was a bit embarrassed with the way he treated Caden.

"Did you really kill the guy? I have to know, so we could help you."

Caden shrugged his shoulders. "As I said, I’ll fix this."

They heard a few knocks on the door before the principal came back inside.

"Someone wants to see you."

Caden chuckled. "Is it Michael Cerro? Or my grandfather?"

"I don’t know. They said someone who knows Gregory Allen. His guardian, I think." The principal answered before stepping out of the office again.

Caden turned to Stephen. "Take Caroline."

Then he looked at Elijah and Elisa. "Go. Don’t let them see you. If anything happens, the guards and my men are nearby."

Elijah nodded. Then grabbed his sister’s hand. Skyler Jackson followed.

"Brother." Caroline whispered.

It was the first time Alira saw Caroline scared. She was trembling so Caden quickly walked toward her and patted her head.

"Don’t be scared. I won’t let anyone hurt you." He smiled. "Trust your brother, okay?" He said.

Caroline nodded. Then she was dragged by Stephen outside the room. Lucas and Brie didn’t leave.

"Are you sure you’ll stay?" Caden asked Lucas.

"They involved my sister. I couldn’t let it pass." Lucas answered.

Caden went back to his seat beside her. He took her hand because he knew she was nervous.

There was no knock on the door. Three men just came inside with their heads up high.

Alira’s heart couldn’t stop beating louder. She never met Caden’s fake grandfather, Benjamin Miller. But one of the men was different from the other two. He was older, but dignified. His wrinkled face was screaming with authority. He was wearing a black suit with a light blue inner buttoned shirt. His left hand held a black cane with a golden handle.

She forced herself to glance at Caden when she felt him squeeze her hand. She flinched when his grip tightened.

"It’s been a long time, my dear grandson." The cold voice of the old man echoed inside the room.

"Hello, my fake grandfather." Caden greeted the old man with gritted teeth.

It was a good thing that the sofa in the principal’s office was big enough for twelve people. Lucas and Brie moved to sit beside them so Benjamin and the other two men could occupy the other side.

"So, what made you come out from your secret hiding place?" Caden asked with sarcasm.

"I believe you have one of my kids, Gregory Allen. I want you to release him." Benjamin answered.

Caden chuckled. "One of your kids? Since when did you become a caring person? You never treated anyone as a human being. And yet, you carelessly showed yourself in public just because one of your pawns went missing."

Benjamin laughed, sending shivers down to Alira’s whole body.

"I think you already know the answer to that. You are a smart kid. And a very brave one. Just like your mother. In fact, I didn’t expect you to become the crown prince of Flousia. I thought you’ll become Matthew’s successor of the Forelli Clan. You are more capable of being one of the mafia than being a royal."

She suddenly felt suffocated. Her heart was about to explode because of the continuous thumping in her chest. But she was also relieved that Benjamin had no idea that Caden was the current Boss of the Forelli Clan.

"You always wanted the spotlight. I have had a few good memories of you, including the time that you almost choked me to death when I was just five. What did you tell me back then? Ah! That you were just kidding. Then you approached my mother as if nothing happened, telling her that I will be your successor. That was the start of you making me one of your pawns in your game."

"Indeed, I never thought your mom would be the wife of Lucia Castello’s son. That wasn’t my plan. But when I found out about it, I changed everything and my game became more interesting. Then you happened. You can’t imagine how hard I laughed when I learned about your existence. And being engaged to the daughter of the wealthiest clan in Northbay was a bonus."

Benjamin turned to Alira, checking her from head to toe with playful eyes. She felt being harassed by the way the old man looked at her.

"You are indeed as beautiful as your mother. No. Even more alluring and gorgeous than her. It is the first time we met, I believe. Allow me to introduce myself. I am Benjamin Miller. Oh! No. Wait. I am Jonathan Trekker. Your fiance’s infamous fake grandfather."

She didn’t answer. She couldn’t. Her words were stuck in her throat. 𝕗𝐫𝚎𝗲𝘄𝐞𝕓𝐧𝕠𝘃𝕖𝐥.𝐜𝚘𝚖

"You finally admit your real name." Caden chuckled. "I thought you hated being a Trekker. But I guess you really have no choice. Your family name has been erased to your own country. Society was sick of you that no country wanted to accept your clan."

Benjamin gave Caden an icy glare. His aura became darker because of his grandson’s insults.
