My Favorite Game Followed Me!-Chapter 658
Chapter 658
The old couple and their teenage daughter joined them for lunch, but they left soon after, as they could not afford the last part of the tour, which cost a medium-level mana stone per person. Abdul, the blabbermouth, was about to offer to pay for them without talking about it to Anton again, but Kirk and the others stopped him.
After the old couple and their daughter left, Kirk, Mesono, and Omar severely reprimanded Abdul, and Anton just let them be.
“Are you an heir of an empire that you keep offering to pay for people?! Do you really want to go back to being a fisherman receiving meager pay?! No one would be able to tolerate your behavior of offering to pay for people using other people’s wealth!” Kirk scolded Abdul. 𝗳𝚛𝚎𝚎𝘄𝕖𝕓𝕟𝕠𝚟𝚎𝕝.𝗰𝕠𝐦
“You’re so stupid! This is our chance, and it may be the best one we will ever have. I’ll trash you until you can’t walk if you jeopardize this opportunity because of a pretty face!” Mesono added.
“Even if Anton was too stupi… I mean, too generous, we shouldn’t take advantage of him too much!” Omar added as well, but his comment received severe glares from Kirk and Mesono.
Anton laughed when he heard what Omar had almost said, which was that he was being too stupid and generous. He did not care, though. He was powerful and rich, and he had the right to use his wealth the way he wanted as long as he enjoyed himself.
They waited for a few minutes for their new tour guide for the last part of the tour. While they did so, Kirk, Mesono, and Omar were relentlessly scolding Abdul, who now looked shamefaced. Once the three were done, Abdul apologized to Anton, who was still smiling and generously accepted the boy’s apology.
Soon, their previous tour guide arrived with a new man who introduced himself as Archmage Leno. The archmage was the one who would guide them through the last part of the tour.
Anton was excited to see the magical sea creatures and saw that Kirk and the others were the same.
The first aquarium they went to for the last part of the tour consisted of three sirens. The large glass aquarium was beautifully decorated, but the sirens were not the beautiful women with fish tails but terrifying monsters. The humanoid upper part of the sirens had no discernible attribute that could identify their gender. They were bald with huge eyes and a large mouth filled with sharp teeth. Their long arms were full of scales, and their hands ended in long claws.
Their archmage guide, who was now alone, since their previous guide had left, told them that the sirens were terrifying monsters that were carnivorous and would eat the animals that ventured into their territory. Their attack consisted of a long-range sound spell that would stun their prey, then they would drag their prey to be eaten alive.
The sirens also had a sound spell that caused hallucination that would lure unsuspecting sentient beings into thinking that they were the most beautiful beings of the opposite sex of their species, and would be lured to be stunned and eaten.
Stolen novel; please report.
“Do you want to experience the sound attack of the sirens? There is a section in the array that would allow the siren’s attack to reach us,” Their guide asked.
Anton and the others were intrigued and said that they wanted to experience the sirens’ spells. Their archmage guide accessed the array panel and did something. Soon, they heard some singing, and Anton saw that Kirk, Mesono, Omar, and Abdul suddenly looked at the three monstrous-looking sirens like they were the most beautiful ladies.
Anton did not experience any hallucinations and just heard some squealing and squawking coming from the array.
“If your magical defenses are high enough, you will not be affected by the sirens’ spells,” The archmage whispered when he saw that Anton was not affected.
Soon, the sound became louder, and Kirk and the others suddenly looked like somebody had stumped their heads with a pan.
Anton laughed, and their archmage tour guide turned off the part of the array that allowed them to receive the sirens’ audio attacks. After a couple of minutes, Kirk and the others woke up from their stunned state, and they all looked at the sirens with horrified gazes. Anton laughed again, and the four young men looked shamefaced.
“You don’t need to be ashamed. Only high-level wizards and above can fully nullify the siren’s audio attacks,” Their guide said.
The next part of the tour brought them to an aquarium filled with jellyfish again, but this time, all of the jellyfish were producing their own lights. Their guide told them that the different jellyfish came from deep beneath the ocean. The lights that were being produced were of different colors and intensities, but one thing they all could agree on was that the jellyfish were all beautiful beyond belief.
The next part of the tour brought them to an aquarium that was filled with what looked like ordinary fish and corals, but when their guide turned off the lights, all of the corals glittered with beautiful colored lights. Anton and the other suddenly felt a calm and peaceful vibe, and they knew that the corals were the ones affecting their mood. It was reminiscent of Anton’s Pearl of the Ocean, and he knew that the corals had the same effect as his pearl.
“Are you selling some of the corals?” Anton asked their guide, who smiled.
“You’re not the only one who asked that question, and yes. We do sell them, but they cost a lot. A fist-sized deep-sea magic coral will cost a high-level mana stone and above,” Their guide said.
“I want to buy two corals for two high-level mana stones,” Anton said.
He planned to give one to his father and one to Anna so they could also have a good rest wherever they were, just like him with his Pearl of the Ocean. Anton handed two high-level mana stones to their archmage guide, who left to get the corals that Anton purchased. They continued watching the beautiful glowing corals and fish while they waited, and after several minutes, their guide returned carrying two beautifully crafted wooden boxes.
Anton opened the two boxes, and one of the corals glowed purple, and one glowed deep blue. His pearl of the ocean glowed light blue. The archmage then told Anton that the corals had a lifespan of around 200 years and described to him the function of the corals, which was the same as his Pearl of the Ocean, given to him by the blue whales and the pink dolphins. He then stored the two boxes of glowing corals in his inventory, and the tour continued.
Their tour lasted for two more hours, with them seeing different magical sea creatures that the wizards of New Drennor had captured. Anton enjoyed the tour very much, and when it was over, they all went to a restaurant outside to eat, then headed directly home.
It was still a little early when they arrived at the inn where they were staying, so Anton told Kirk and the others to continue memorizing their spells. They would watch the promised movies a little later.
Anton went to his room and decided to take a nap even though he did not really need it. He just wanted to indulge and test one of the corals. After around thirty minutes, he woke up refreshed and went outside. He saw that Kirk and the others were casting their spells toward the Mirror mana power bank that he had created, and after that, they started memorizing their spell again.
