My Milf Harem Conquest System In A Women's World-Chapter 39: Back Home
That morning, Jason was seated at the dining table, meticulously reviewing the printed agreements he had prepared the previous evening. Overnight, he had signed and securely filed each document in a folder placed beside his laptop. The arrangements concerning the property were now finalized. Claire had accepted the position the night before, following a clear and deliberate discussion regarding her responsibilities, payment terms, and maintenance priorities.
Jason harbored no reservations about her competence. Her records were consistent, and her comprehension of the estate’s requirements demonstrated both insight and precision. Moreover, Jason favored individuals who executed instructions promptly without necessitating repeated reminders.
Rising from his chair, he proceeded to the living room, attentively surveying every corner. The villa appeared markedly transformed, and he took satisfaction in having converted the property into a business venture rather than allowing it to remain unused. At present, he lacked the ambition to maintain a personal residence, as he was content residing with his family and within a community of similar individuals.
Regarding the villa, every element; from the arrangement of furniture to the architectural layout of the rooms, reflected a sense of order, which was a result of several days spent refining the details.
The morning unfolded with a series of minor tasks. He placed a brief call to the local utilities office to verify that all accounts were properly registered under his name. Subsequently, he organized the documents in his bag, ensuring that each file was accurately labeled.
By late morning, a vehicle arrived at the front gate. Claire exited, carrying a clipboard and a small binder. Jason opened the door before she could knock.
"Good morning," she said politely. "I have come to collect the finalized documents and to confirm the maintenance schedule."
Jason gestured for her to enter.
"Everything is prepared. I also included the contact information of the local contractors in case any issue arises during my absence."
She seated herself across from him at the table, glancing through the binder with quiet concentration.
"I must say, this is remarkably well organized..."
"It is better this way," Jason remarked calmly. "Clarity prevents confusion later. The Villa must retain its condition. It is far too valuable to leave anything to chance."
Claire’s smile softened, revealing a hint of understanding beneath her composed exterior.
"You will not have to worry. I shall treat it as though it were my own."
Jason’s gaze shifted briefly toward the window.
"That is precisely what I wished to hear."
She rose and extended her hand. He accepted it firmly, then accompanied her to the entrance.
"Before you depart," Jason instructed, "contact me only when necessary. I prefer monthly updates rather than frequent reports."
"Understood," she responded, slipping the folder under her arm. "I will ensure everything proceeds efficiently."
When she had gone, Jason secured the door and remained still for several moments. The Villa now rested in capable hands. His purpose here was complete.
Of course, each stage had unfolded with deliberate precision... acquisition, inspection, and delegation. What remained was his return to Downtown, where the next phase of his endeavor awaited.
He proceeded to the bedroom and began packing his belongings. Afterward, he reviewed his checklist once more before closing it, for experience had taught him that small oversights often evolved into great inconveniences.
When the luggage stood ready, Jason examined the clock and measured the interval before departure. His flight had been reserved the night before, arranged to ensure his arrival by evening. There was no reason for haste... he still possessed three days before the quest concluded.
Seating himself at the edge of the bed, he reflected upon the past few days... or had it been four?... well, some details had begun to blur.
In any case, traveling here had proven to be a good decision, as he had transformed a free gift into a real advantage. The Villa was no longer just a potential reward but a useful asset that would keep generating benefits with proper management. More importantly, he had reminded himself that careful planning always led to better results than acting on impulse.
After some time, Jason carried his luggage into the living room and made one last check around the house. He inspected the doors, windows, and garage, and when he reached the front door, he paused briefly to mentally confirm that everything was in order.
He stepped outside, locked the door behind him, and rolled his suitcase down the driveway. The car he had arranged arrived within minutes, driven by a young man who greeted him politely and helped load the luggage.
"Heading to the airport?" the driver asked as he started the engine.
With a sigh, Jason replied as he settled into the back seat:
"Yes."
The drive followed a long, open road lined with fields and distant clusters of buildings. Jason stayed mostly silent, occasionally glancing out the window but never losing focus. His thoughts were entirely on what awaited him, undoubtedly, his stepmother.
He briefly thought about Marinette, knowing that winning her over wouldn’t be as simple as with others. Their relationship was complicated and unspoken, requiring more than just charm or good timing. She was smart and insightful, not easily convinced by words alone, even if she sometimes appeared indifferent. If he wanted to succeed in winning her over, he needed a careful and precise strategy.
Eventually, the car arrived at the airport entrance. Jason thanked the driver, gathered his luggage, and proceeded through the terminal. The check-in went smoothly. He showed his ticket, passed through security, and moved to the gate with the same calm demeanor he had maintained throughout.
As he sat waiting to board, he opened his notebook again. The earlier pages contained notes about the Villa; expenses, timelines, and management plans. He turned to a new section and wrote a single heading: Marinette.
Below that, he wrote down a series of steps. The first was straightforward: Observe. The second: Try. The third: Act with purpose. He went over the list repeatedly until the words settled in his mind like orders.
Jason believed in a methodical approach, knowing each step had to set the stage for the next. His success with the Villa confirmed this reasoning, and he saw no reason why the same strategy couldn’t work elsewhere.
When the boarding announcement came, he closed his notebook and put it in his bag. The rest of the routine went as smoothly as anticipated. He found his seat, secured his belongings, and allowed his thoughts to fully focus on the next phase of his plan.
The flight lasted just over two hours. He spent most of the time reviewing old messages and organizing new reminders for the upcoming week. Once the plane landed, he joined the quiet flow of passengers heading to the exit, collected his luggage, and stepped into the main terminal.
Downtown always made a strong impression on him the moment he returned... back to the city where he was the only man who truly belonged. He left the terminal and hailed a taxi waiting nearby. The driver immediately recognized the address, and the ride began.
As the city passed by outside the window, Jason leaned forward slightly, his eyes fixed on the steady progression of streets. The closer they got to his home, the clearer his thoughts became. He had no intention of wasting any time.
Naturally, he planned to approach her carefully and even more intelligently than he had with his three older stepsisters, one of whom, despite seeming the calmest, had turned out to be a yandere obsessed with him more than Catherine.
When the taxi stopped in front of his house, Jason paid the driver and stepped out, suitcase in hand. He paused at the gate, quietly observing the building. The familiar calm of home welcomed him as he unlocked the door and entered.
The living room was empty, so Jason set his suitcase beside the couch and exhaled softly through parted lips.
He adjusted his cuffs, straightened his shirt, and headed toward the staircase.
By the time he arrived at the landing, his mind was already set in motion, prepared to move forward with the next phase. Marinette was somewhere upstairs, and this time, he planned to take the lead rather than just watch passively.
Suddenly, a voice called out from behind him... it was his stepmother.
"Jason? You’re home. Finally, I won’t be alone. Your two sisters and your niece have been out on a girls’ night for about two days now and still haven’t come back."
She yawned loudly as Jason smiled and headed back down the stairs.
’Well, isn’t this some luck? I’m starting to think I’m in a web novel where the author keeps giving me breakthroughs without any effort. Hehehe,’ Jason thought playfully as he approached his stepmother.
With a deep sigh, she said in a weary voice:
"I actually need your help with something in my room. Please come with me; I’ve been trying to get it for a while now."
Jason blinked twice, puzzled about what she meant, but he didn’t hesitate to follow her.
