My Scheming Little Devil-Chapter 2074: Are You Crazy?
Without a doubt, whoever did this clearly targeted Madam Aisha by tampering with breakfast.
But no one blamed Madam Aisha; she must care for Yiyi more than anyone else. She just didn’t expect people’s hearts to be so wicked, even targeting Jun Yiyi at a time like this.
"Yiyi, when will she wake up? It’s already been fifteen minutes." Madam Aisha was filled with guilt.
"It should be soon. I injected her with a serum that should stimulate her to wake up," the doctor said.
Ling Kong’s face was grim, and he scolded, "Who permitted you to inject her with the serum on your own? Doing so damages the body and neural functions."
"Young Master Ling Kong, don’t blame him. I asked him to do it," Madam Aisha, pale-faced yet firm, insisted, "This exam is very important to Yiyi. She definitely doesn’t want to miss it. I can’t let her down."
"You’re insane. Do you think she can still make it to the exam? It’s already past the time. Even if she wakes up, her mental state is not suitable for a highly concentrated exam."
"She’s waking up!" the nurse exclaimed.
Sure enough, Jun Yiyi, lying on the hospital bed, slowly opened her eyes. Her gaze was somewhat scattered and confused, only fully awakening after a long while. Seeing so many people around her, she was somewhat bewildered and couldn’t grasp the situation.
"Yiyi, you’re awake," Madam Aisha’s eyes were red, "but it’s already ten fifteen."
It was like a splash of ice water over her head, instantly waking Jun Yiyi. Her little face turned pale inch by inch. She had already missed the exam time. She missed it...
After so much effort, hard work, even giving up her chance to escape and risking her life to stay here, all for this day, yet at the last moment, she missed it.
Her fingers clenched the quilt tightly, her knuckles standing out and twisting.
She couldn’t accept it; she absolutely couldn’t accept such a thing.
"I won’t accept this," she said, her chest heaving violently. She struggled to support her weakened body to sit up, pushing away the quilt. Such a rapid movement made her frail body sway, her head dizzy, nearly falling back onto the bed.
"What are you doing?" A stern, rapid low voice tinged with anger suddenly came from the side.
A strong, firm hand suddenly appeared, pressing on her shoulder with enough force to prevent her from getting out of bed.
Jun Yiyi looked up to see Ling Kong appear here. She couldn’t figure out how he appeared, nor did she want to think about it now. Her mind was full of a desire to rebel against fate, brimming with anger needing to be vented and fierce unwillingness.
Why had she put up with so much?
At the final moment, all her efforts were taken by a small trap; she couldn’t resign herself to it or submit!
"I want to go to the exam," her eyes blazed brightly like fire, her tone unwavering.
Ling Kong’s face darkened, and he said angrily, "The exam time is over. Are you not hearing what others are saying? With your current weak body, the effects of the medication haven’t fully dissipated. Your brain is still sluggish. Just leaving the hospital on your own is a problem. What if you faint or go into shock? What do you think you can do? Doing this will only harm your body meaninglessly."
"I want to go. Don’t try to stop me," Jun Yiyi yelled, stubborn as an ox.
Ling Kong’s brows knitted together tightly, wanting to pry open her head to take a look. He couldn’t help but sneer, "What do you think you’ll achieve even if you go now? A 90-minute exam with only fifty minutes left. You’re forty minutes short compared to others. Do you think, in your current state, with such pressing time, that you can rely on these remaining fifty minutes to get into the Imperial Academy? Are you crazy?
