Chapter 23: The first special bond exam (9)

Jaster slept on the tree while the Green Team waited for him to climb down.

Stacy tried to look at where Jaster was located.

"I can’t see him; he climbed really far up!"

Just then, Cameron fell off while climbing the tree. The others laughed at him without helping him get up.

"Wow, thanks for the help."

He rubbed his back.

"Oh please, don’t be dramatic. Anyway. That means he’s really far up on the tree, since you managed to climb a decent amount."

Stacy went to Brandon and leaned on him.

"Babe~~~ what should we do?"

She traced his biceps while winking.

Gaddy looked at the two couple; he gritted his teeth out of jealousy.

"Well, since neither of us has a climbing ability, and Cameron’s flying ability is forbidden in this exam, we’ll just have to wait, I guess."

While Brandon was talking, he took a peek at Stacy’s curved body, and he immediately grinned.

He whispered to Stacy.

"Hey, do you wanna go deeper into the forest?"

Stacy’s ears perked; she nodded with a smile.

Just then, Kaya came out of the forest, brushing her hair.

"Hey guys, sorry it took a while!"

She smiled at her team, but specifically at Stacy.

"Finally, you’re here. Go wait for that guy on the tree to come down."

Stacy looked at Brandon.

"While... Me and Brandon have to go somewhere~~~"

Kaya nodded enthusiastically, which made Stacy feel disgusted.

While the two of them were walking towards the forest, Stacy gripped Kaya’s shoulder and leaned in to whisper.

"Better back off from my boy, bitch, or I’ll whipped you alive."

"Try me, slut."

The two of them glared at each other.

Brandon, not wanting to create further drama in the team, dragged Stacy with him. As the two of them left, Kaya, Cameron, and Gaddy were left together.

Kaya took a deep breath, then went towards them.

"Hey, Cameron, Gaddy. Come here for a second. I wanna discuss something."

She rested her body on the tree while the two confused boys went to her.

"Sit down, my lovely boys."

She patted the grass while smiling.

The guys reluctantly agreed, and Kaya started to discuss her "brilliant plan."

"I have a plan. You guys see how close Stacy and Brandon are, and honestly, they rule over this team."

Gaddy, hearing this, nodded immediately.

"Yeah! They’re WAY too close to each other."

While Cameron smelled that Kaya was scheming something.

"What are you proposing?"

Kaya smirked, looking at Cameron.

"We should break up their relationship!"

Saying this made Cameron and Gaddy’s eyes widened.

There were two different reactions from the two boys.

One was Gaddy. He was into this plan. In fact, the day of the welcoming ceremony, Gaddy had his eyes on Stacy since day one, but it turned out she already had a boyfriend.

And seeing the boyfriend was someone who was much superior to him both in physique and intelligence, Gaddy felt inferior and wanted to get rid of Stacy.

The second one was Cameron, who had just met these people. He didn’t know anyone, and frankly, he just wanted to succeed in this exam.

But breaking up someone’s relationship was definitely past Cameron’s sense of morals.

Kaya inspected the two boys’ reactions. She had expected this. She didn’t expect Cameron to flip on the couple with only a couple of words.

"Cameron, I know you think this is some messed-up shit, but think deeply about it more! If we don’t separate the duo, then most likely the three of us will be at the bottom of the food chain in this team!"

Gaddy nodded; he used this opportunity to try to persuade Cameron.

"I agree with Kaya, and I’m pretty sure these will be our classmates for the next 3 years! Do you really wanna be the outcast of the class?"

Cameron was stuck between the two teams within a team.

He didn’t know whether to go with Stacy and Brandon, or Kaya and Gaddy.

"I’ll... need to think about it more."

Cameron got up and started pacing around in circles.

Kaya scoffed.

"Whatever, we don’t need him. So, Gaddy—" She looked at the fat boy.

"Here’s what I think we should do to break them up!"

The two of them discussed their plan, while Cameron paced around, not knowing what to do.

All of this was planned out by Jay’s brilliant plan.

Jay and Ivy had been watching the Green Team from a nearby bush.

Jay laughed, seeing the Green Team slowly fall apart.

"HAHA, this is so fun. Right, Ivy?"

Ivy forcefully nodded; she didn’t feel good about this whole thing.

And the fact that she felt bad for Cameron made things even worse.

"Uhh.. Don’t you think we’re going too far... Like, our actions could really impact these people in the future.."

Jay stopped laughing and rolled his eyes at Ivy.

"Ivy, I love you, girl, but if we don’t do anything, then that team will eventually get Jaster’s flag. And besides, don’t you feel bad for Jaster being stuck up there for so long?"

Hearing Jay’s words made Ivy feel like she was a bad person.

She shook her personal feelings aside.

Get a grip, Ivy. What Jay said is right. I’m being way too selfish, thinking about my own feelings.

Jay watched Ivy having a battle with her emotions.

He almost laughed, seeing how easy it was to manipulate her.

Meanwhile, Jade’s hummingbird watched the drama unfold in the air.

(Student Council POV)

Marcus frowned, watching the drama on the hologram screen.

Besides Marcus’s grumpy aura, Jade laughed at a random student that just tripped in the mud.

The student looked around, embarrassed.

"Jade, you’re being too loud."

Coral elegantly sipped a cup of tea.

Jade’s laughter slowly died down; her eyebrows furrowed as she blew the hair in front of her eyes.

"Oh, sorry for disturbing your ’Mary Sue’ watch. I hope I didn’t break your wannabe fancy demeanor."

Coral’s eyes widened; she threw the cup away as it shattered to pieces and the tea spilled everywhere.

"Who are you calling a Mary Sue, you Grinch?!"

"GRINCH?! How dare you call me that!!"

And thus began Karina and Reza 2.0’s fight again.

Marcus ignored the two and focused his eyes on the screen showing Jaster’s team’s conflict with the Green Team.

"Hey, Coral."

Coral immediately stopped arguing with Jade, and she leaned in towards Marcus.

While Jade rolled her eyes.

"Yes, President?"

Marcus grimaced at that nickname.

"Don’t call me that ever again. And also, can you tell Sasha to watch over this first-year student named Jay?"

He pointed towards the screen showing Jay ducked down beside a bush with Ivy.

Coral glanced at the screen.

"Sure, but why... if I may ask?"

Marcus rubbed his temple.

"I don’t know. I just have a strong feeling about him. The way he uses his skills is really smart."

"Who, who’s Jay?!"

Jade scanned the screen and spotted him.

"Oh, him! Knew I heard that name before!"

Marcus’s ears perked; he looked at Jade.

"You know him?"

"Well, not personally. But I’m pretty sure he’s that famous young actor that faced backlash a couple years ago."

Marcus’s eyes widened; now he was even more curious about him.

"What backlash did he ’get,’ exactly?"

Jade was shocked to see Marcus so interested in this first year. She answered Marcus’s question.

"I’m pretty sure it’s about him spreading rumors around the internet, therefore causing many other actors and producers that were working with him to fall apart."

Coral gulped, hearing Jade.

"What... Do you mean by ’fall apart’?" She asked hesitantly.

"It was pretty brutal. One rumor says that he broke apart a couple of actors that were working with him, and another rumor says that he exposed a video of his manager cheating with his own wife."

Marcus was intrigued hearing Jade; now he was more interested in Jay than ever.

"Seems like we’ve got ourselves a conniving, two-faced person in our school!" Marcus smirked while rubbing his chin.

"This school year will definitely be more interesting than the others!"
