My spirit animal is a F–Rank gecko-Chapter 24: The first special bond exam (10)
(Green Team POV)
Stacy and Brandon came out of the forest, while Stacy had a bright smile on her face.
Kaya got up and came towards them.
"Did both of you have a nice time?"
She said, smirking.
Stacy glared at her. She gripped her boyfriend’s hand and walked past Kaya, ignoring her completely.
"Hey, fattie."
Stacy flicked her finger, while Gaddy obediently walked towards her.
"Yes, Stacy?"
"I’m bored. Please entertain me."
Brandon’s eyes shot up; he looked at Stacy with a concerned look.
He leaned in to whisper.
"Babe, we can’t be doing stuff here." He pointed towards the watchful hummingbird, recording their every move.
Stacy sighed. She pulled on her long black hair; a strand of hair came out of her scalp and became harder.
"I seriously don’t care!"

Whipped of Demise — Lv.1
She whipped the strand of hair, and the hair sliced through Gaddy’s thigh.
His eyes widened before he screamed in agony.
A tingling pain reached up to his brain as he fell to the ground.
He looked at his thigh, which had a long cut that kept spewing out blood all around him.
Gaddy screamed as tears and snot fell down his face.
Brandon just watched. He looked down while slowly turning away from Stacy.
Kaya watched with a stoic expression as Stacy kept striking the whip onto Gaddy’s body, face, leg. Nowhere was spared against Stacy’s wrath.
She laughed menacingly while she kept on whipping; her laugh echoed throughout the forest.
Kaya looked at Cameron, who had a terrified look on his face.
She said something under her breath.
"You still wanna defend her?"
---
After a couple more strikes, Stacy finally stopped.
She took a deep breath and jumped for joy.
"WHEW! That was loads of fun. Thanks, piggie!"
She let go of the strand of hair, which turned soft and dropped to the ground.
Gaddy was left bleeding on the floor. There were long cuts everywhere on his body.
He looked like a bloody sack of meat.
But for some reason, Gaddy smiled from ear to ear.
It was... as if he enjoyed all of that.
"Gaddy! Are you okay?"
Cameron rushed and held his body.
After there was no response from him, Cameron immediately screamed.
"UGH, so loud!"
Stacy rested her back on the tree while stretching her arm.
Brandon looked at his sadistic girlfriend; he didn’t know what to do, nor could he do anything anyway.
Usually, he’d go to his girlfriend and have a kiss session with her, but seeing what she just did, he tried to keep his distance.
Brandon glanced at the hummingbird. He knew it had watched everything that Stacy did.
The reason Brandon did not want to get involved was not because he was a bystander.
It was simply because.... He wanted to join the student council.
He wanted to look like a dependable man who could lead his team to victory.
If he wasn’t scared of Stacy, he would’ve told her off a long time ago in front of the council.
But, at last, he couldn’t control her in the end.
"It’s fine...."
Brandon whispered to himself.
"Not all student council members are perfect. Just because they didn’t see me stopping an assault, it’s not like they’re gonna decline my offer."
Kaya noticed Stacy laying down with her eyes closed.
This was a chance for her to get close to Brandon. 𝒇𝙧𝙚𝓮𝙬𝙚𝓫𝒏𝓸𝓿𝓮𝒍.𝓬𝙤𝓶
She approached him while Brandon was thinking deep in his thoughts.
Kaya poked his body, making him startled.
"Uhh... Yes, Kaya?"
Kaya glanced at Stacy again, making sure she was sleeping.
She tiptoed to match Brandon’s height so she could whisper right in his ear.
"I don’t think we can trust Stacy. We should lose her."
Brandon’s eyes widened.
If it were a normal couple, the boyfriend would obviously deny it and defend his girlfriend.
But instead, Brandon thought more deeply into it. He definitely didn’t like Stacy’s harsh and aggressive attitude.
In fact, it could damage his reputation by being her boyfriend alone.
But Brandon had been with Stacy since middle school. And all this time, he’d always wanted to get rid of her from his life,
since to him, Stacy was just an obstacle for him to reach his dream.
So Kaya offering to get rid of her was really tempting for Brandon.
Just then, Kaya glanced at Brandon’s back, making sure that Stacy was still sleeping, but what she saw terrified her.
Stacy was glaring back at Kaya. Her eyes looked like they were about to pop out, and there were visible veins in her temples.
Kaya’s safety instinct kicked in, and she pushed Brandon away, knocking him back a little.
"Woah, what’s the problem, Kaya?"
"Let’s talk later."
After Kaya pushed Brandon away, Stacy’s anger subsided, but she kept glaring at Kaya, and Kaya glared back.

Meanwhile, away from all the drama on the ground,
lay a sleeping Jaster. He had fallen asleep in the branches.
While Purple finally woke up from its long nap.
The gecko peeked from his pocket, confused by the strange environment.
"Krrk?"
He got out of the pocket and started walking around the branches.
Purpleberry was excited, seeing all the different animals inside the packed canopy of the tree.
It crouched and slowly approached a brown caterpillar.
Purple’s yellow eyes fixated on the caterpillar, moving slowly until—
It opened its mouth and pulled the caterpillar in with its tongue, putting it in Purple’s mouth.
The crunching noise echoed throughout the forest as Purple’s eyes lit up, tasting how good it was.
"KRRK!"
He saw more caterpillars and decided to eat all of the caterpillar population on this tree.
While Purpleberry was committing genocide, Jaster peacefully woke up from his nap.
He yawned, then his hand immediately went to his pocket where Purple should be.
"Purpleberry, are you ok?"
He said lazily, his eyes still half shut.
When he rummaged through the pocket and felt nothing inside, Jaster’s heart immediately dropped.
He opened his eyes, no longer feeling sleepy.
"PURPLE? WHERE ARE YOU?"
He looked around, scanning his surroundings.
"PURPLEBERRY, PURPLE!"
While its owner was panicking, Purple just ate its seventh caterpillar of the day.
After gulping down the bug, it burped, feeling full.
Just then, Purple heard a rustling noise near a leaf.
"Krrk?" Purple tilted its head.
Thinking it was more caterpillars, Purple decided to walk towards the noise.
Pushing aside the leaves, Purple saw a body poking out of its vision.
The body was black, and it spewed black aura all around it.
"Krrk?"
Purpleberry peeked at the face, and just then—
"CHAAAA!"
Jaster heard his gecko’s voice echoed further up the tree.
"Oh shit. PURPLEBERRY, WAIT FOR ME!"
Jaster climbed the tree, more and more, until he could feel the air starting to get stronger.
After reaching the top of the tree, Jaster took a break by sitting on one of the branches.
He heard Purple scream and immediately forgot about his break, continuing to search for the sound source.
Jaster was running out of breath due to his nonstop climbing and crawling, but he held onto his chest.
"Just... a little longer." He was huffing, out of breath.
There was only Purpleberry on his mind; he didn’t care about anything else.
After pushing away all the leaves, that’s when he saw Purple—
being taken away by an evil owl spirit.
"CHAA!!"
Purple and Jaster’s eyes met each other, but before Jaster could do anything,
the owl flew up into the sky, taking Purple with it.
"PURPLEBERRY!!"
Jaster shouted at the evil spirit. All logical thinking went out the window; the only thing in his mind was
to get Purple back.
Before the owl could fly further, Jaster did the unthinkable. He bent his leg, and then he jumped—.
