My Wife and I Became Sages in Another World-Chapter 382: Melina’s Reinforcements

When Melina reunited with her group, she introduced everyone to the new addition to their team, Frost, the Ice Dragon.

The young dragon was responsible for creating the mist that reached the town of Nebbia, and when Melina asked him why he did it, the dragon replied that he had no idea it was reaching that far.

His intentions were to hide his tower with the illusions and the fog, but his dense mist had been enveloping the town of Nebbia for over a hundred years.

The princess saw that Frost looked a bit guilty, so she tried to cheer him up by saying that the people from town had gotten used to living with the mist anyway, which did indeed make the dragon feel a bit better.

Once they fully rested at the bottom floor of Frost’s tower, they started making their way back to Nebbia on Arashi’s back. Meanwhile, Frost redirected the icy winds somewhere else, making their travels much easier.

It had been almost a week since Ichiro and Melina split up, and now that she had completed her mission and obtained the relic they were missing, she was dying to go to the north and meet up with her fiancee.

When they reached the town of Nebbia, Melina spoke with the mayor to explain that they were probably not going to have mist in their town for a long time, as the Ice Dragon was now her companion.

The princess was just being honest about the events, but she didn’t know that the man had a voice crystal, and the news of the Ice Dragon becoming Melina’s ally spread around the world pretty quickly.

The group planned to stay for one night in Nebbia, then go to the capital of Vista the next day to take the magic quartz to the north.

They were staying at the inn while Athena and Apollo remained in the stables, as they were too big to enter the buildings. However, when Melina received a voice message from her father, their plans were turned upside-down.

While Melina and her group were in Nebbia, the alchemists, Reinar and Jen, were taking a magic quartz to evacuate The Pit, as it was getting attacked by the devils.

They returned to End Forest with Grul and Dan, but they were still quite distressed about the attack that was approaching Ichiro and his group, so they decided to get him reinforcements.

Reinar took another magic quartz in the forest to visit the capital of Sephyr, appearing inside the castle and rushing to ask the king for reinforcements.

Jen, who was from Droman, used the magic quartz to visit the capital in her hometown. Luckily for her, Empress Lyssandra was in the same room where she appeared, and she was able to ask for reinforcements that same instant.

After the king received the message from Reinar, he sent a voice message to Melina, and the princess hastily woke up all of the people in her group before getting on Arashi’s back to return to the capital of Vista as soon as possible.

When the princess arrived at Vista’s castle during the night, the guards had already been notified that she was on her way, and she was surprised to see Luca and Florencia wearing combat armor.

From there, they took a magic quartz that sent them to End Forest, and then they took a second one that directed them to the magic quartz inside The Pit.

The group appeared inside a ruined cave as The Pit had collapsed during Ichiro’s battle with the two devils, so Melina used her magic to remove the debris and make way for her team to rise to the top.

Just in time, Melina spotted Baelzor and Drakzen standing side by side, along with the Accursed Beasts that accompanied them with the thousands of brainwashed soldiers.

Meanwhile, during Ichiro’s battle against the two devils, two individuals infiltrated the castle in the Nothern Empire’s capital.

"We can’t miss this chance," said Jackson to his companion Karla as they both rushed along the hallways of the steel castle.

Using the back of her sword, the blonde adventurer knocked out the guards that tried to intercept them, while Jackson used the back of his spear to make them trip.

When they descended a set of stairs, the pair found themselves in the dungeon of the steel castle, where large and burly guards were protecting different doors.

Still, they were skillful enough to knock them out without killing them, knowing that they had all been brainwashed.

Jackson and Karla had been waiting for the moment that the castle was unattended by the other devils, and after they left to fight Ichiro on the other side of the country, it was the perfect moment to put their plan into action.

"Are you sure the emperor’s brother is down here?" Karla asked.

"Yeah. Baelzor mentioned it when I was spying on him," Jackson replied, scanning the surroundings of the dungeon.

The underground prison in the castle wasn’t as large as others, so the pair managed to investigate it entirely in a few minutes, reaching the last door in the back.

Inside, a strong man was chained to the wall, and he had cuts and bruises all over his body while looking down at the ground.

"Quick, let’s pick him up," said Jackson as he approached the man, using his spear to break the chains.

While the two of them helped the man up, carrying him under his arms, he weakly asked who they were. However, his mind seemed to be in some sort of trance, so Jackson decided to skip his answer and get him out.

Dressing up the man with a cloak to conceal his identity, they guided the emperor’s brother out of the castle into the capital’s streets, where they fed him a holy panacea to heal him.

"Now, we look for Ichiro..." Jackson said as the man slept on the ground.

"How long do you think it will take for the other devils to come back?" Karla inquired.

"Not long—we should get out of this city as soon as he wakes up," the redhead replied confidently.
