"Boom! Boom! Boom!"

The heart of the island was being torn apart by explosions!

Far to the northwest, inside the Research Institute, chaos reigned.

"What in the world is happening?!" Caesar shrieked, glued to the monitor. He couldn't make out the details of the fight from so far away, but the sheer scale of it threatened to send him into cardiac arrest.

"Those damn monsters! Why are they fighting on this island?!"

At first, he'd thought it was an earthquake. But then his panicked subordinates told him the truth: it was Black Hair, locked in a brutal clash with Admiral Akainu.

Two colossal beasts!

If their battle spills over here... we're all dead!

"Rustle, rustle..."

Dust rained down from the ceiling.

Caesar gnashed his teeth, furious that his precious laboratory was being demolished. "Monet!" he roared. "Contact the Underworld! Broadcast this fight!"

"Understood," Monet replied, already at work.

She was Caesar's obedient assistant now, and didn't concern herself with the consequences of their actions. As for the mayhem this battle would cause... that was someone else's problem.

Golden City, Onigashima, Totto Land...

The powerful factions of the Underworld quickly turned their attention to the Marine's internal conflict.

In the shadows of Wano Country, within Onigashima's dimly lit Secret Room, Kaido's top executives stared at the screen showing the battle on Punk Hazard, their faces etched with awe and fear.

Kaido himself was present, his gaze intense.

Queen, a cigar clamped in his mouth, cackled with glee. "Mwahahaha! Amazing! That Black Hair kid's got some real guts!"

"Indeed. Unexpected," King said, a rare agreement with Queen.

They were, after all, the ones who'd set this whole thing in motion.

The rumor that Kaido intended to marry his daughter to Black Hair had been carefully spread amongst the inner circle of executives and a select few Headliners. Secrecy wasn't the primary goal.

They'd deliberately leaked the information, knowing the Marines wouldn't stand idly by.

There were two ways this could play out.

First, Black Hair could be forced to betray the Marines with Yamato, joining the Beasts Pirates and becoming Kaido's true son-in-law.

Second, Black Hair could hand over Lady Yamato.

If that happened, the Beasts Pirates were ready to snatch Lady Yamato back with their already-prepared fleet, and bring her home to Onigashima.

Either outcome would be a win for the Beasts Pirates.

But Black Hair had thrown a wrench in their plans. To protect Yamato, he'd chosen to confront the Marines head-on, escalating things into a full-blown war with an Admiral!

Even as enemies, they couldn't help but admire his courage.

Ulti sneered, "Who's-Who, didn't you say you and Black Hair were the same type? That you could take him on, one-on-one?"

"Shut up, brat!" Who's-Who snapped, his face darkening.

He'd always considered himself a Six Styles genius, on par with Rob Lucci. But watching Black Hair trade blows with an Admiral... his blood ran cold.

Thank heavens I didn't cross paths with him back then!

Across the sea, at Marine Headquarters, inside the Marshal's Office, everyone watched the video feed in grim silence. Only Garp, true to form, munched on rice crackers, seemingly unfazed.

"Pwahahaha! Zephyr, that Roya kid's learned all your tricks!"

"Yes. He has surpassed me!" Zephyr replied, a smile of pride on his face.

Even he, in his prime, couldn't have done better against Akainu. The boy had truly outstripped his master.

But not everyone was pleased.

Zephyr glanced at Sengoku's stormy expression and sighed. He couldn't fault Sengoku for his actions.

From the World Government's perspective, Kaido's daughter was a ticking time bomb, best defused as quickly as possible.

If her goal was to gain our trust, only to betray us at a crucial moment, joining forces with the Beasts Pirates... the consequences would be catastrophic.

It was just that the execution had been too heavy-handed.

That Roya kid doesn't take kindly to being pushed around!

Back on Punk Hazard, in the Island Center, the desolate landscape was now a sea of scorching flames and molten magma, slowly consuming the entire island.

The air hung thick with the acrid smell of sulfur.

"You can't beat me with that!" Akainu roared, slamming his magma-infused fist against Roya's sword. His arm suddenly erupted, unleashing a volcanic burst of power!

"Boom!"

Roya was sent flying, his sword clattering away. He tumbled across the ground, a human wrecking ball, smashing through everything in his path.

"Boom!!!"

He slammed into a rock face, his upper body buried in the stone!

"Roya!" Yamato cried out, watching him being blasted away. She tightened her grip on her Wolf Fang Club, her body crackling with lightning as she vanished, reappearing behind Akainu in a blur.

"Thunder Bagua!"

"Bang!"

Half of Akainu's body exploded, revealing not blood, but a torrent of scorching magma.

The wound quickly healed, the molten rock flowing back into place.

"Eh? Haki's useless?" Yamato gasped, bewildered. She couldn't understand why her attack had failed, but there was no time to dwell on it.

Akainu was attacking!

"Dog Bite Red Lotus!"

A massive magma hellhound lunged at her!

"Iceberg!"

Yamato thrust her palm forward, creating a thick wall of ice to intercept the molten beast. But in less than a second, the ice evaporated into a cloud of steam.

A searing pain shot through her hand.

"Waaah!"

Yamato screamed, recoiling from the burn. Faced with the overwhelming heat, she turned and fled, her freezing powers utterly useless against Akainu's magma.

"Don't think you can escape!" Akainu roared, hot on her heels, closing the gap with terrifying speed.

"Mythical Zoan fruits are rare, yes, but a freezing ability is nothing compared to a specialized Logia!"

"You shouldn't have been born into this world, Kaido's daughter!"

"Hmm?!"

A flash of golden light caught his eye!

Roya, covered in blood, stood in mid-air, gripping Rain Cutter with both hands, his eyes blazing with fury.

"Time Lag: Single Line Thrust!"

A colossal wave of golden energy descended from the sky!

"Boom!!!"

The earth trembled, and the magma exploded in a shower of sparks!

In the blinding light, Akainu's magma form appeared, half of his body cleaved open, nearly split in two. But the severed halves flowed back together, merging seamlessly.

Completely useless!

"Even if you infuse it with Haki, as long as I elementize in advance, I can avoid it! That is the power of Logia!" Akainu boomed, raising his magma-coated hand. He advanced on Roya, a god of war wreathed in flames. "That kind of attack has no effect on me!"

"Whether it's useful or not, you'll only find out after you try!" Roya replied, landing heavily on the ground, his lungs burning with each ragged breath.

The air was becoming unbearable.

At this rate, we won't last much longer!

Roya charged at Akainu, his eyes filled with desperate determination.

"And one more thing, Akainu: no one chooses their birth, but as long as they are born into this world, they have the right to live!"

"The descendants of criminals have no right to survive!" Akainu roared back, meeting Roya's charge with a magma-dripping fist!

"Boom!"

Their fists collided!

Pain exploded in Roya's face, the surface of his fist feeling as if it were being submerged in boiling magma. It feels like my bones are melting!

Haki! I need to focus my Haki!

"Oooooh!!!"

"Demon King Gun!"

Haki surged through the magma, tearing through Akainu's defenses and smashing his entire arm to pieces with a deafening boom!

But almost instantly, the magma at Akainu's shoulder solidified, forming a new arm. This time, the arm didn't explode. Instead, it focused all the power of the magma into a single point!

"Dark Dog!"

The magma hand shot out, aiming for Roya's head!

Unavoidable!

Time seemed to slow to a crawl. Roya's pupils constricted, watching the magma hand grow closer and closer, even his eyebrows singed by the intense heat.

If that touches me... my head will be gone!

"Bang!!!"

The magma hand was stopped short!

"What?!" Akainu roared, looking up in disbelief. Roya was enveloped in the coils of a pink dragon, and his palm was embedded in its flesh!

"Aooo!!!"

The pink dragon roared in pain, its jaws snapping around Akainu's arm. Roya, protected within the dragon's embrace, vanished!

Akainu looked up just in time to see a fist wreathed in Conqueror's Haki bearing down on him. This time, there was no time to elementize and evade!

"Aooooh!!!"

Roya roared with all his might, his fist slamming into Akainu's face. He pressed down, pouring all his Haki into the attack!

"Comet Burst!"

The infused Haki detonated, spreading through Akainu's body!

"Puh!"

Blood splattered on the ground!
