PERFECT REINCARNATION : Being Invincible in Another World-Chapter 52: L DIPLOMACY SKILLS
The night was going smoothly. Some passing jokes and fun banters were happening, Caelion was constantly teasing the other two. Everyone was having a nice time, the mood of the room was jubilant. That was until Aurelion decided to stir things up.
"Miss Evelyn...," He called, "Would it be alright for us to have a private conversation about the engagement?"
Evelyn stopped chewing, she picked up a napkin and gently brushed it against her mouth. She pondered about her schedule and came to a conclusion. "I mean, I won’t be able to converse with you after dinner but if it is something urgent, I shall make some time in my schedule right now." She answered.
"No worries, we can just have a sitting together, tomorrow. I hope that is okay with you though." Aurelion said.
"Of course, that won’t be a problem but forgive me for being blunt but by any chance, are you trying to break the engagement?" Evelyn asked, her look was stern, eyes sharp and focused on Aurelion’s answer.
"What gave you that idea so suddenly? Wait, are you questioning me this because of the chair incident?" Aurelion asked.
She studied Aurelion’s body language, gazed intently at his face and eyes. "Well, since that does not seem to be the case, I believe we should continue this conversation later tomorrow." Aurelion nodded.
She is good. She read the room and understood that there are many eyes upon them, so they should not discuss it here. Although it looks like my nephew is on the contrary side. Sigh...,I can’t find a speck of diplomacy in him. Caelion thought and rubbed his temples.
Something which the World’s best Swordsmen and Archmages could not do, Aurelion became a master in it unknowingly, which was to give Caelion constant worry and stress. The Man had rubbed his temples more times in one day than he might have throughout his life.

Finally, the dinner ended on a peaceful and happy note. The maids took the utensils and leftovers away. The three cleaned themselves, their mouths with a napkin and as for their hands, they used a bowl of water which had lime in it to wash it.
Caelion looked at the clock. "Oh my, it is already so late at night. Young children like you too, need to sleep a lot to remain healthy."
Evelyn was the first one who stood up and gave a light bow to Caelion. "Then, I shall take my leave now, Your Grace." She turned towards Aurelion. "You too, your highness. I will meet you tomorrow then, have a good sleep." She pushed her chair out and left for her room. Her personal maid quietly followed her behind.
WHAT A GOOD MAID SHE HAS. Aurelion thought.
Meanwhile —
In Lyra’s room.
Lyra had somehow claimed the entire sofa without actually using it properly. Her one leg hung halfway off the edge, the other bent weirdly at the knee. Her arm was waving over her face, fingers twitching every now and then. The blanket which was supposed to cover her was twisted around her waist instead, leaving one shoulder bare and her hair spilling everywhere. Not only this, she was also drooling on the pillow.
A soft murmur slipped past her lips. "...double it... no, no, that’s a bad hand..."
Her brows tightened briefly, then relaxed. Her fingers curled as if she was counting some invisible coins. "...one more round... I swear this time..."
She rolled onto her side without fully waking, nearly slipping off before settling again. A faint smile tugged at the corner of her mouth. "All in on 5" She mumbled.
Then, she gave a wicked smile, while her saliva slipped completely out of mouth. "Hehe, I am the Queen of Gambling, your highness, it’s time to pay up your debt to me." She grinned.
Back to the dining chambers —
Evelyn had already left the room, only Caelion and Aurelion were left on the dining table, along with Rhael and few servants who were standing.
"Now, that you have already asked her for a private conversation, I won’t ask the reason for it. Just don’t embarrass yourself tomorrow like how you did today." Caelion told Aurelion.
"...Wait, I already told you guys that it was not intentional. Why do we keep bringing this up, as for tomorrow, yeah... I will make sure that such incidents are not repeated." Aurelion replied.
"It is fine now. Go back to bed, you should rest now. You were travelling the whole day." Caelion said and turned to one of the maids. "Make sure that his highness gets some milk and nutrients before sleeping." She waved her eyes down in acknowledgement.
Then, Aurelion also stood and left the room after greeting and wishing good night to his maternal uncle. A servant guided him to where his room was. He went down the hallway, took the stairs, went above and entered the room.
The wooden door of the room did not look very modern but the rest of the amenities and furniture was all up to date stuff. A lavish King sized bed placed in the center, a side drawer with a neat and clean mirror and an attached bathroom.
Aurelion sat down on his bed, picked up the glass of milk with some almonds and turmeric mixed inside, which was kept upon the side drawer. He drank it sip by sip, wiped off his mouth with the back of his hand and layed down sideways.
No Mana training.
No cooking up new thoughts.
He simply layed down and slept for tonight.
The night passed smoothly, the sounds outside faded into silence, no more turmoils, just finally some calm and peace after such a hectic day. The sun came up, sunlight brisked Aurelion’s window, the silence of night changed to the cooing of the birds. The day to discuss the engagement properly had come.
