Phoenix Revenge System-Chapter 122: PRS 23 Liona
This afternoon, the Sejahtera housing complex was in complete chaos. The case of rape and adultery between Lala and Bana had spread beyond the housing complex after the complex security guards left to rent a car to take the two of them to the hospital for treatment.
Unfortunately, the adultery case, which resulted in the two becoming sexually involved, made all residents who owned vehicles reluctant to lend them to the couple, forcing them to look for a rental car from outside the complex.
Januar also did not want his car to be used to take the two disgusting couples to the hospital. He even flatly refused when the neighborhood chief asked him.
"Sorry, neighborhood chief, I can’t lend my car to people like them. I don’t want my car to be tainted," said Januar in a flat but emphatic tone.
The neighborhood chief nodded in understanding, although in his heart he felt sad to see how hurt Januar was by his wife’s betrayal.
Finally, Mr. Tono, the housing complex security guard, managed to find a pickup truck to rent.
"Sorry, Mr. RT, I could only get a pickup truck to take Lela and Bana to the hospital because all the cars available for rent had already been rented out," said Tono, reporting with his head slightly bowed.
Mr. RT, who knew that what Tono said was just a made-up excuse, could only sigh several times.
"It’s okay, the important thing is that they are both taken care of first. This is also a humanitarian issue, what else can we do?" replied Mr. RT with a soft sigh, even though in his heart he understood very well that this was a subtle form of rejection from the community.
The women who had signaled Tono felt relieved to see the mustachioed man bring a pickup truck that would be used to take Lala and Bana to the hospital. They whispered to each other and nodded meaningfully.
"They should feel ashamed like this," whispered one of the women, folding her arms across her chest.
"Yes, let them know how it feels! Their actions are outrageous, destroying other people’s marriages," replied another woman angrily.
Wanting both of them to receive social sanctions, they paid the driver to drive slowly so that all the residents they passed could see this adulterous couple.
"Driver, please don’t drive too fast. Slow down, it’s okay," said one of the women with a meaningful smile as she handed over some extra money.
The driver, who understood the women’s intentions, simply nodded as he accepted the money.
Not to forget, several creative mothers from the housing complex attached a sign to the back of an old August banner lying behind the security post that read, "Adulterous Couple Punished Until Their Bodies Were CRUSHED," all written in very large letters with charcoal on the back of the old, unused banner so that everyone who passed by the pickup truck could read the message that the residents had prepared.
"Is the writing big enough? It has to be visible from a distance!" shouted one of the women while checking their work.
"Yes, ma’am, it’s fine. Everyone will definitely be able to read it!" replied another woman while patting her hands, which were dirty from the charcoal.
Wanting to make the two women regret their embarrassing and norm-breaking actions, the residents did not give them any clothes, even though the upper part of their bodies could be covered with T-shirts. They only gave them a pair of sarongs to cover their naked bodies, while their private parts were covered with blankets.
The two were immediately herded onto a pickup truck accompanied by shouts of ridicule and insults as well as derogatory remarks from the mothers of the housing complex who accompanied the car that would take the two to the hospital until they reached the highway.
"You shameless people! Get out of here!"
"Get what you deserve! This is punishment for you!"
"Don’t ever come back to this complex again!"
The shouts caused many road users who saw the incident to stop to see what was going on there.
Mrs. RT and Mrs. Naomi got into the pickup truck that was taking the adulterous couple to the hospital, while Mr. RT rode in Januar’s car, also heading to the hospital with his family to conduct a DNA test on Anang to confirm their suspicions, as Liona had mentioned.
The sky seemed to be on Januar’s family’s side. Along the way to the hospital, there was a parade, so many people witnessed the commotion on both sides of the road.
Seeing and reading the banners on the pickup truck and watching the two people on the open pickup truck see firsthand how the couple was writhing in pain, they got angry and threw some of the food they brought at Lala and Bana, along with insults and curses.
"You love scoundrels! Take that!"
"You ruined a happy family! You will not be forgiven!"
Liona, who witnessed the commotion from inside the car, felt very relieved.
"If only there were cell phones in this day and age, maybe the two of them would have gone viral on social media. But it’s okay, with the social sanctions imposed by the community, at least it can serve as punishment for them for deceiving and hurting my uncle, even though this retribution is not commensurate with the shame and heartache my family has suffered due to their immoral actions," said Liona, her voice trembling with anger.
Januar turned to look at his nephew, who was sitting quietly on his mother’s lap by the window, next to Atri, with a look of gratitude on his face.
If his sister hadn’t come home with his nephew today, who knows how long he would have been deceived and stabbed in the back by his wife like this. He couldn’t even imagine what would have happened if this deception had continued.
Januar felt very grateful that, even in this dire situation, all his family members were with him, giving him the support he desperately needed.
"It’s okay, brother, let it go. God willing, after this, you will find happiness many times greater than the pain that Lela has caused you. Trust me, God will definitely give you the best," Lura said wisely, holding her brother’s hand tightly.
Hearing his sister’s comforting words, the tears that Januar had been holding back finally fell, causing the man to sob uncontrollably as he bowed his head. All the burdens he had been carrying finally poured out.
"Cry, it will make your heart feel lighter. Don’t worry, your mother, father, and sister will always be there for you. We will never leave you alone to face this," said Atri as she rubbed her son’s back lovingly, her eyes also beginning to well up at the sight of her son’s suffering.
Behind them, Laus remained silent because he was not the type of person who could easily comfort others. The same was true for Narti, who was currently sitting next to Laus, cradling Anang, who was fast asleep, lost in thought, not expecting the situation to have developed this far.
Unable to bear the pain and heat in her intimate area, as well as the shame of being reviled by people along the way, Lala cried uncontrollably. Her tears flowed freely, weting her pale face.
"Please... please... it hurts so much..." she moaned weakly.
Bana, who couldn’t cry, could only endure the pain in his lower body and several wounds on his face and body caused by the stones that some residents had thrown at him in silence.
He gritted his teeth tightly and felt very angry at everyone who had made him the subject of such a humiliating spectacle, especially Januar.
"Damn you... damn you, Januar... I’ll get my revenge..." he muttered vengefully.
If only Januar had been more patient and settled this matter amicably, perhaps he would not have experienced this shame for the first time in his life.
When they arrived at the hospital, once again they became a spectacle for passersby and hospital visitors who stared at them with disgust after reading the banner attached to the pickup truck.
The nurses who treated them were rude because they knew that the adulterous couple had committed an immoral act.
"Get in there! Quickly!" snapped one of the nurses with an unfriendly face.
Once the adulterous couple was taken into the emergency room, the hired pickup truck driver immediately drove home to wash the car with flowers upon arriving home to remove the bad luck of having carried Lala and Bana in his car.
The two of them couldn’t sit down and could only stand while being examined by the doctor because their condition did not allow them to lie on the stretcher.
"Who is the patient’s family here?" asked a nurse sternly while carrying a data board.
Since Januar and his family were not there, Naomi was forced to come forward to fill out the hospital paperwork.
"I... I will take care of it," Naomi replied uncertainly.
"The doctor will perform a procedure to separate their bodies. Therefore, according to procedure, you must first complete the paperwork for both of them at the counter. Here are the forms, please fill in all the information," the nurse explained as she handed over several forms.
Naomi was accompanied by the neighborhood association chairwoman to take care of hospital administration while the neighborhood association chairman waited with Lala and Bana in the emergency room, where they were receiving initial treatment from the doctor on duty. Meanwhile, Januar and his family were at the hospital laboratory to conduct DNA tests on Anang.
Seeing his family’s grief, Laus took his wife aside to talk in a corner of the room.
"Honey, how about I go home first after this. You and Liona stay here for now. Januar needs support. I’ll take care of the children and the business at home. I can’t bear to leave everything like this," said Laus attentively, looking into his wife’s eyes.
Lura, who felt that her brother did indeed need her support, nodded in agreement with her husband’s plan.
"Okay, I’ll stay at my mother’s house for a few days. You don’t need to worry about how I’ll get home, my father will take me home later. Take good care of the children, okay?" said Lura, holding her husband’s hand.
Laus nodded and kissed his wife’s forehead briefly. "Don’t worry, I’ll take care of everything. You just focus on being with the family here."
The two of them rejoined Lura’s family once their conversation ended, hoping that all these problems would soon be resolved and that their family could get through this difficult time together.
