Primordial Awakening: I Can Evolve My Skills Infinitely-Chapter 75: Bullet of Oblivion, Shattered Mark
Chapter 75: Bullet of Oblivion, Shattered Mark
Slash! Slash!
Each time one of the [Roaring Stars] broke through the barrage of projectiles Sam and his clone were firing, they met it head-on with their blades.
Timing had to be perfect.
If even one got past their defense and struck them cleanly, it would remove a precious hit of their [Eternal Barrier].
Yet, somehow, the two managed. Just barely.
BOOM!
Suddenly, the ground trembled as the [Roaring Titan] brought down its fist with thunderous force.
The impact slammed into the two of them like a falling mountain, pushing them back and stripping away another layer from their [Eternal Barrier].
"Forgot about me?" the titan growled with amusement, tilting its massive head slightly as the mark on its head flared with light, "How idiotic."
BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!
The titan didn’t stop. It swung again. And again.
Each time, Sam took the hits head-on, his [Eternal Barrier] holding firm, for now. But it was dropping fast.
The glowing counter hovered at 12 hits left.
Worse, the clone’s barrier was barely hanging on.
Only two hits remained.
Still, Sam noticed something.
The number of [Roaring Stars] falling from the sky had started to decrease.
His [Abyssal Obliteration] bullets, on the other hand, were still flying just as fiercely.
Thanks to his now-massive [Soul] stat, Sam could afford to keep firing without exhausting himself.
He didn’t need high accuracy, there were so many bullets that some were bound to land hits.
BOOM!
"I can see you tensing up," the titan laughed, its voice like a deep drum echoing across the battlefield, "Why is that, little Primordial?"
Slash!
Sam cut down the last of the incoming star projectiles.
But just as he did, the titan reached out with surprising speed, and grabbed the [Forsaken Clone].
It raised the clone to eye level, holding it in front of the glowing mark on its forehead.
Sam’s eyes narrowed.
"Damn it..."
He’d lost his only ally.
But as he glanced upward, he noticed something, the five swirling dark portals still floating above him.
And in that moment, an idea struck.
’Maybe... just maybe...’
Without hesitating, Sam raised his other hand.
Five more portals formed in the air beside the original ones.
Then, with a command of his will, he merged them into a single massive void, ten compressed into one.
It hovered ominously, swirling with energy.
But instead of letting it fire more random bullets like he did before, Sam focused.
He poured every bit of his aura and all three of his affinities into it, Shadow, Chaos, and Void. All of it.
’I learned [Crescent Slash] by channeling all my focus into a single cut. So... what happens if I do the same with [Abyssal Obliteration]? What if I channel everything into a single shot?’
Meanwhile, the titan was still holding the clone.
"You know," it muttered, examining the copy like it was some strange creature, "I’ve always wondered what drives your kind. That spark that keeps you going. It’s curious."
Sam didn’t answer.
His eyes were closed, his energy still pouring into the swirling portal above him.
"But in the end," the titan said with a shake of its head, "It doesn’t matter. All of you fall eventually."
CRUSH!
The titan’s claws tightened around the clone.
-1! -1!
[Eternal Barrier: 0/50]
CRACK!
The clone’s barrier shattered instantly.
"Fifty hits, huh?" the titan mused with interest, "So that’s the secret of your little shield..."
Sam winced.
He hadn’t expected the titan to be tracking the barrier count so precisely, but he should’ve known better.
This wasn’t just some brute. It was a Forsaken Lord.
"Well," the titan sighed, "This one’s just a clone anyway."
CRUSH!
It closed its fist and the clone exploded into a swirling mix of black, orange, and silver mist.
Ding!
[Your "Forsaken Clone" has been killed.]
"One down," the titan declared, now gazing at Sam with its glowing mark flaring once more, "One more to go. And only twelve hits left." freēnovelkiss.com
Sam didn’t flinch.
He just raised his eyes to the swirling portal above him, now boiling with unstable power.
The bullet hadn’t fired yet. But it was close.
Fwish! Fwish!
The energy within the portal began to swirl faster, building pressure.
"Once I grab you," the titan sneered, stepping forward, "You can’t escape my grasp. It’s over for you, Primordial."
Sam could feel the titan getting closer. The ground shook beneath his foot.
And just as the titan’s clawed hand lunged toward him—
Fwish!
Sam’s eyes opened.
His aura surged violently, crimson light radiating off his body as the power of Shadow, Chaos, and Void burst to life.
The pressure in the air changed instantly.
He raised one hand, aimed straight at the glowing [Titan’s Mark], and fired.
Ding!
[Shadow, Chaotic, and Void energy swirl around you, boosting your power.]
[Your "Abyssal Obliteration" has improved.]
[You have learned "Bullet of Oblivion."]
The dark portal above him quaked, almost collapsing in on itself from the pressure.
The condensed bullet inside surged with blinding energy.
And then—BOOM!
A single shot. A bullet made of pure aura and all three affinities tore through the air like a comet.
"Huh?" the titan blinked in confusion.
But before it could even react—
BOOOOOOM!
The bullet hit dead-center.
Right on the four-pointed star glowing on its head. The force of the impact rocked the titan backward.
It staggered. For the first time, the titan took a step back.
"YOU LITTLE SHIT!"
Rage overtook it. The titan surged forward, grabbing Sam and lifting him high into the air.
"DID YOU REALLY THINK THAT WOULD BE ENOUGH?! I AM ABOVE YOU!"
CRUSH!
-1! -1! -1!
The titan began to squeeze Sam with all its strength.
Each second, another hit was stripped from the [Eternal Barrier].
"You truly have no idea what you’re facing," the titan growled, claws tightening.
-1! -1!
"This is only the beginning. You can’t even begin to grasp what’s coming."
-1! -1!
"All the worlds... no, this entire realm despises your existence."
-1! -1!
"SO JUST GIVE UP ALREADY!"
-1! -1! -1!
CRACK!
[Your "Eternal Barrier" has broken.]
The final layer of protection vanished.
Just like the clone, Sam was now completely vulnerable. Suspended in the titan’s grip.
No defenses left. It should have been the end.
After all, even the [Bullet of Oblivion], the attack he believed would save him, hadn’t finished the job... right?
The titan held Sam tight, watching him like a predator ready to crush its prey.
"So?" the titan hissed, the star on its head glowing fiercely, "How does it feel? To finally meet your end?"
Sam didn’t speak.
He just stared. Unmoving. Calm. Not a trace of fear on his face.
"Hmph," the titan scoffed, "I suppose you really don’t show fear. How disappointing. Well then—goodbye."
The titan prepared to crush him once and for all.
But then, CRACK!
"Huh?"
The sound wasn’t from Sam. It came from above. Sam looked up.
His eyes widened, and a smile slowly spread across his face. Because now... the [Titan’s Mark] had a crack.
A single, glowing fracture ran through the center of the star.
CRACK! CRACK!
The crack widened. More fractures branched out from the core.
"What... what is this?!" the titan’s voice trembled.
For the first time, it sounded afraid.
"I... my star?!"
The damage from the [Bullet of Oblivion] hadn’t been immediate.
But it had gone deep.
And now, finally, the impact was catching up.
ROAR! ROAARRR! ROAAAAARRR!
The titan screamed. Over and over. Confused. Agitated.
It stumbled backward, clutching at its head as the glowing star cracked further.
But it never let go of Sam. Sam remained in its grip, trapped and motionless.
Cracks were spreading across the titan’s forehead like spiderwebs.
And then, all at once—
BOOM! SWASH!
The [Titan’s Mark] exploded into glowing fragments, scattering like dust.
The star was gone. Shattered. And beyond it was...
"What the fuck?"
Even Sam was confused.
