Somewhere in space. Millions of miles away from the blue planet...

Muku, the girls and the two rays appeared.

"Welp. It seems the brat meant it..." Muku spoke while transmitting his voice around with mana.

As for why he wasn't panicking, well, R6s were quite comfortable in space, it seemed.

They could do whatever they wanted as long as they had mana. And another interesting thing he noticed was the unbelievably high levels of mana around them.

He couldn't help but wonder if this had leaked from the planet or if it had always been there.

He even had a crazy thought. Could it be what people called space radiation back then because they didn't know what it was?

Well, whatever, it turned out to be a good thing that they were tossed into space. It was great for their practice.

It didn't give them KP, but it was great for purifying mana and gaining better control of it.

"If I knew it was going to feel this great, I would have come here a long time ago" Jade spoke with a dreamy look in her eyes.

That's right, even her Beast Aura production was boosted in space.

From all angles, it seemed like the planet was limiting them. They all felt like a huge weight had been lifted off their backs.

Raya felt even better than everyone else as a space elementalist. She felt her space elemental control and purity improving without any input from her. It was truly magnificent.

"Anyway, let's deal with them first" Audrey brought everyone's attention back to the two beasts that were brought there with them.

"Oh yeah. Them... Do we still need to team up? I feel like I can take one on my own" Chloe who originally suggested teaming up before had changed her mind.

She didn't feel like coordinating with anyone after being "freed" from the planet.

"You can go ahead. I also don't want that anymore. I'll get the next one" Elsa agreed with her.

"You too Layla" Audrey said.

"Okay", Layla replied simply.

And so, the battle went from two versus one to one versus one. Which was for the best since KP was rather thin the further one advanced...

Without delay, Chloe and Layla flew forward. Each heading for their own beast.

"Let's see who wins their battle first" Chloe spoke to her sister.

"Don't use Kamikaze then" Layla replied.

"You won't use Omnipresence either" Chloe shot back.

"Fine" Layla agreed.

After that, they split.

The two beasts were still confused by what was happening. However, seeing the two ants coming their way made them forget that confusion for the time being.

They were going to take care of the bugs in front of them first.

Foosh!

Both rays charged at their targets at lightning speed. They sliced through space like they were slicing through water.

Like Muku's side, they were also quite comfortable in space.

It would be weird if they weren't when they were technically stronger as MR6s.

Anyway, both Chloe and Layla were ready.

Chloe's body was instantly covered by lightning. Her hair stood straight on her sculp then she vanished from the Stingray's path.

As for Layla, she just disappeared and appeared behind the beast.

That's right. She had used [omnipresence]. It wasn't done intentionally. Her body reacted on its own before she could think of what to do.

"Haha. I won since you broke the rules" Chloe's happy voice was heard from the distance.

"Tsk. Whatever, I'll still kill mine first" Layla grumbled in response.

After that, both girls were completely locked in on their targets.

They didn't rush to summon their avatars despite looking like literal ants in front of the beasts if not smaller.

After all, their size didn't affect their spell potency or size.

In fact, it was advantageous to them. They were tiny targets while their opponents were huge. So they were in a pretty decent spot...

....

Chloe's battle...

The girl blitzed all over the place with two huge fists made out of lightning floating beside her.

The fists would punch the Stingray every chance she got. They were obviously inspired by Jade's Beast Aura fists.

Jade was laughing like a mad person while seeing this. Saying that she was everyone's idol and that's why they were copying her.

Completely ignoring that it was only one person taking inspiration from her.

The others rolled their eyes silently and continued watching the fights...

The Stingray soon noticed that its way of fighting wasn't working. Even if it cast an AoE attack, Chloe would completely dodge it with her speed or defend herself with a normal attack since a spread-out attack was a bit weaker than concentrated ones so breakthrough through was easy enough.

Anyway, with that realisation, the Stingray finally took its humanoid form.

It looked pretty weird though.

It looked like a snakeman for whatever reason. Maybe because its head had the cobra hood.

Though its skin was a smooth dark grey. It had a lean arm with blades at the end and thin legs too. Then there was the thin and long tail behind it.

"It's time for you to die" it spoke to Chloe for the first time.

Its body was immediately encased by a blackish domain armour. The water it used also changed from bluish to black.

As for how that was, only it knew.

Well, whatever. This also increased its speed to almost match Chloe's.

Honestly, it should have been able to catch up at least considering its rank, but it couldn't. Which was quite embarrassing.

This made it angrier as it pursued Chloe.

Fortunately, she wasn't interested in a game of cat and mouse. She wanted a fight. Had that been exactly what she was going to have with the Stingray now that they were the same size?

BOOOOOM!... BOOOOOM!... BOOOOOM!...

And so, the duo began exchanging punches that sent shockwaves through space. This went on for a few minutes.

And they were so strong that the first connection would have destroyed half the world... No wonder Gaia kicked them off.

Fortunately for Chloe, her body was upgraded by the fruit from before otherwise she wouldn't have been able to keep up with the physical exchange even if her mana was strong enough.

However, the upgrade wasn't enough. She couldn't do it for much longer. So she had to change tactics even if she liked this way of fighting.

And so, she created some distance between the two of them.

The ray didn't want this, but as the slower party, there was nothing it could do...

It was really frustrating as it could be seen that it would have won had they continued.

Anyway, that didn't matter. It can always use ranged attacks right?

After all, as the higher-ranked being, it should have a bigger mana pool. So even if the battle is drawn out, it will still be the victor.

It had completely forgotten about the group of spectators that could step in at any moment.

Which was understandable when Muku hid everyone with his telekinesis' invisibility. They also suppressed their auras to the absolute limit.

So it was easy to completely overlook them in such a heated situation.

Anyway, the ray started gathering energy for one of its stronger attacks.

But it wasn't alone, Chloe had the same idea. She was doing the same in the distance.

The two had eyes on each other as they did this. Their opponent's every move was seen by them.

And so, clouds appeared in space for the first time ever due to Chloe.

And a floor of violent water that would rip anything that it consumed appeared too.

Which was another first.

Speaking of which, it seemed water users really liked floods more than anything.

Even Audrey who was technically not a water user liked using floods.

Though this flood was definitely the deadliest the group had seen.

Hell, Audrey and Elsa were analysing it closely for pointers. They were definitely gonna steal it.

It's not like they could be sued for plagiarism after all.

Anyway, the two were soon done preparing their attacks but neither made a move. Almost like they were waiting for the other one to do it then react.

But this deadlock didn't last long.

Both soon made a move at the same time.

The flood actually split apart and created a huge oval around Chloe before she could escape then began closing in on her at unimaginable speeds.

Unlike the prior AoE attacks, this one wasn't so easily cut through.

But at the same time, Chloe's attack was also unleashed. A rain of thick lightning bolts rained down onto the ray.

They were many and dangerous but it didn't flinch. It had expanded this from how obvious it was, so it had prepared a barrier already.

However, something unexpected happened. As it focused on what was raining down...

PEW!

A concentrated beam on lighting pierced through the spear that had completely trapped Chloe.

The ray barely managed to react before the beam was upon it.

Fortunately, it got out of the way.

It looked where the bolt went and saw Chloe breathing a bit heavily. But there was a little smirk on her lips.

It then looked down at its body and noticed that something was wrong...

It was missing an arm. And a significant part of its midsection as well...
