Re-Birth Of A Genius. Creator/Destroyer-Chapter 2063 Christos’ Request
The construction of the Hub might be bad news for the Olympian realm.
However, the rest of the regions welcomed them with open arms. They offered up lands and even wanted to be part investors in it so that they could get a piece of this giant pie. Of course, Sam refused it.
The Architects and artisans required for the basic construction of the structures arrived. Up on Sam's request they all wore disguises. No one was able to contact with anyone from the Academies. This time the hubs were constructed a lot faster compared to the first one.
The simultaneous operations ran at a very high speed with improved efficiency.
While that news was hot, of course there are people in other regions that are not really all that interested in hub. They are very doubtful about it since they didn't actually see the effects of it.
At that moment, a video leaked.
The recording of Bronte's training. The first part of the video showed the tests Bronte took before his special training had began, then it showed some of his training procedures. Finally, there is a sequence of clips that showed his progress on the tests at various stages of the training.
The last clip showed how much stronger and faster he had become by the end of the training.
No one knows where it originated from, but it spread like wildfire.
Christos almost lost it when the video finally came to him. He immediately ran to the hub and contacted Joker.
"What the hell is happening? Why are the intricate details of Bronte's training out in the open? I thought you didn't want to popularize these special trainings." Christos asked as soon as he saw Joker's projection.
"Of course, I didn't want to popularize it. In fact, I was about to ask you, why the news and the recordings are out. Except for me and the people from your group, nobody knows about this.
And I am sure that I made it clear, that the last thing I wanted is the publicity. I am popular enough. I didn't want these special classes in the first place.
So, the only possible leak is from your side.
My best guess is that someone got jealous of Bronte and they leaked this. They wanted to undermine his efforts and his ranking. They just want to make him seem like a loser. That is all there is to it. However, I highly doubt that they will get the desired effect."
Christos fell into silence for a few minutes.
He knew that whatever Joker said right now made sense.
There is indeed no reason or Joker to put out the news of this special training. After all, Christos had to take a lot out of his own pocket to convince Joker and even that was not because of the money, rather it was because of his insistence that Joker barely and reluctantly agreed to this arrangement.
"What do you mean that this doesn't have the desired effect? Bronte will be undermined wouldn't he?"
"Why would he be? If he disagreed that he didn't take any special training and this is all false, then he would be undermined.
The truth is plain to see for everyone, so only if he resists there will be a problem. People will think that he was cheating and that was why he was hiding the complete truth.
However, if he just comes out and agrees and he even tells everyone how much harder it was to train, then he will even gain some popularity. Since this matter is also related to the Noble league, you can piggy back on it and gain some prestige.
You can tell everyone how difficult it was for you to convince me, but you did it anyway, because you cared enough for your juniors.
Tell them how much it cost you for it and how much effort you guys have to put it in. Also emphasize on the difficulty of the training.
The video just revealed some scraps, you can ask Bronte to share the whole video. Popularize it and blow out of proportions. I am sure that training is way brutal that people can actually imagine. So, they will come to respect you and the League.
If you can find the support of some instructor, make them come out and vouch for it.
Tell everyone that it was the instructor's idea to make this special program. I am sure that will suffice and will not tarnish your reputation.
And if I am lucky, I wouldn't have to train anyone else."
Christos became excited inside, but he didn't show it on his face. Indeed, whatever Joker said will work like a charm. The only reason he was flustered in the first place is because Joker was adamant about not revealing the details.
He knew that this might bite him in the ass.
He didn't exactly know how, but he already saw people judging Bronte's current ranking, he knew how tough Bronte's training was, so he knew the ranking is well deserved. The only thing is the training is way too unique and it is way too good.
The teachers and instructors wouldn't be able to focus that much on that one student and create such a plan.
Now that Joker himself told him to reveal it, he will happily oblige.
"Thank you sir. But what do you mean by not teaching anyone else? We already are partners in this. You need to teach the rest of the kids from Noble League.
Including the Grade 2 people.
Soon the Pocket dimensions will start opening, so we need your help all the more. For the next coming months, I need you to train every Grade 1 and Grade 2 student in the Noble League."
Joker of course refused.
He didn't want to spend so much time on this. Christos on the other hand already expected this refusal, so he threw in a line that he was already prepared to throw.
"You can even increase the price if you want. I understand that a lot of resources will cost you to maintain the Hub and since you are expanding, you will need even more resources. Everyone from the Noble league has vast influence.
At least their families do.
So, they would be able to pay a lot. You can name the price."
Sam who is controlling the Joker's projection from far away smiled at this. He was waiting for this.
"Are you sure you can promise that? You wouldn't be able to afford the price. Even those noble families will be in a punch once you actually calculate the price of this special training."
Christos was a bit skeptical.
Joker waved his hand and brought a screen forward. On the screen he started explaining the training costs, one by one. Long story short, with increase in cultivation level the training resources wouldn't just casually add up, instead they multiply and compound.
Joker even went into a detailed explanation of each expense, just to showcase that he is not even going to make any profit off of it.
"See, Christos. I don't really care much for the expenses or these resources. I could use more resources and I am going to use them to help other kids learn, so even if I take it out of my pocket and teach these students, it wouldn't be a problem.
However, the problem is, as much as I like to teach people, it doesn't mean I will do it for free. That is the bane of all learning.
Once something can be learned for free, its value will be gone and soon the students will be in over their heads.
They will not respect the time I am spending on them and I will be disappointed, I had to learn this the hard way."
Christos listened to what Joker has to say.
He is in deep thought. Whatever Joker said is once again the truth. If the expenses are really that high, then even the students of noble league are going to suffer.
But when he heard what Joker said, he felt like he could draw something from it.
He put up a conflicted expression and asked.
"Sir, what you said is right. It does indeed cost a lot and even the students of Noble league might not be able to afford it moving forward. After all, it is not exactly a small amount and even the leaders of the family wouldn't spend that much just on the prospects of their kids, hoping that they could gain the equivalent in return.
However, I wholeheartedly believe that your training is worth it."
Then he paused and suddenly bowed deeply.
"Sir, I request you to find it in your heart to not just teach them, but teach them free of cost.
I know that my request is shameless and I have no grounds for asking something like that from you, but I am going to ask it anyway.
You might have been disappointed by this in the past, but I assure you that the kids from the Noble league will not do the same to you.
You will see a set of diligent students trying their best to absorb what you are going to teach us. Please consider my request."
