Rebirth: Clinging to My Possessive Magnate-Chapter 835: Mischievous
"Ophelia, you’ve never really had a hard life since you were born. Do you even know what it’s like to struggle?" Chaya asked unhappily.
"The kind of life where you have to scrimp and save, where you have to think long and hard before buying anything. You’ve never lived like that!" said Chaya with reddened eyes. "Ophelia, listen to me, you can’t get a divorce. Hurry up and reconcile with James!"
"I won’t!" Ophelia cried, yet said resolutely, "I can’t ruin James!"
"Why are you so stubborn?" Chaya was nearly frantic. She had worked so hard for so many years; did she really have to face hardship again in her old age?
"If you won’t talk to James, I’ll talk to him myself!" Chaya absolutely refused to let such a thing happen.
"Mom, do you want everyone to find out what you’ve done?" Ophelia questioned, "Not to mention that you switched the babies back then, but those four men you found this time – do you know what consequences that will bring?"
Chaya’s face turned pale, drained of blood, her lips trembling. She couldn’t believe it as she asked, "Ophelia, are you actually helping Sophie and her family against me?"
"Mom, I’m doing this for your own good," Ophelia said with difficulty, "Do you think I don’t want to marry James? Do you think I don’t want to?"
When it came to her own heartache, Ophelia cried even harder.
She really loved James deeply!
But it was all because of Sophie!
Because of Sophie!
If it weren’t for Sophie, she would have long been happily together with James!

"Oh my, does Hayley Cole have a screw loose?" Sophie exclaimed, before nodding in agreement with herself, "Yeah, she’s definitely crazy. Why did I even bother saying that unnecessary nonsense?"
"Is Hayley Cole really investigating the video?" Sophie asked Charles Seymour.
"Yes." Charles nodded.
"James Reed sure acted fast. They had just gotten married and divorced yesterday, and today he’s already got Hayley Cole investigating the video," Sophie remarked admiringly, "Looks like Hayley Cole has really fallen for James Reed’s trick."
"What do you plan to do?" Charles asked.
"Of course, we’ll let them tear each other apart!" Sophie chuckled, "Let’s not worry about Hayley Cole for now; let’s deal with Ophelia first and take things slow."
Charles watched Sophie indulgently, her smug little expression making his heart itch.
"But still, I have to give Hayley Cole some advice." Sophie snorted with laughter, poking Charles’s arm. "Help me mask my internet address so I can have a chat with her."
"Sure." Without a second thought, Charles agreed and tapped Sophie’s nose, "You’re naughty."
"Just naughty!" Sophie boasted, nodding smugly at him, "What’s the problem? I have my Mr. Seymour backing me up, so I’m naughty! Can’t stand it? Too bad!"
Charles burst into laughter, amused by Sophie, his dazzling smile stunning Sophie into silence.
"What’s wrong?" Charles asked, puzzled by Sophie’s sudden daze.
"You should smile more from now on!" Sophie reflected, "Actually, only smile in front of me. No, you can smile at others too, make them jealous."
Charles, ever smart, immediately caught on to Sophie’s thought process, and couldn’t help but laugh again as he pulled her into his arms.
Sophie, how can you be so adorable?
