Rebirth, Seduce My Ex-husband-Chapter 41: "You Are Two Weeks Pregnant!" 2
Collapsing on the ground, Vanessa closed her eyes as she fainted.
Upon seeing this, Rowen rushed towards her, George behind, as Mariam stood there in horror.
"Mama!" Tara cried out as she tried to wake Vanessa.
"Vanessa? Vanessa?" Reeb tried waking her up, but she didn’t budge at all.
Seeing Rowen and George, Mariam’s hands turned cold. "George, I-I-I didn’t mean to—"
But Rowen cut her off. "George, get the car ready. We’re going to the hospital."
Nodding, George went out as Rowen faced Tara. "My love, Papa will be right back... just stay put, okay?"
Tara nodded as Rowen flashed Mariam a deadly look before carrying Vanessa and leaving the house.
Taking Tara’s hands, Mariam tried to take her back to her room, but Tara removed her grip from her. "Let me go! You are a bully... you bullied my Mama, stay away from me."
Saying that, the little girl ran back to her bedroom, shutting the door in Mariam’s face.

Upon arriving at the hospital, Vanessa was immediately taken in as she was attended to by some doctors.
Rowen and George were asked to wait outside until the patient was alright.
After some time, Vanessa’s eyes opened as she felt a slight headache hit her so hard her eyes started to spin.
Upon seeing her awake, the doctor smiled as he approached her.
"Welcome back, Miss Owen."
"D-doctor? Why am I in the hospital?" she asked, confused.
"Well, you fainted a couple of hours ago. Your husband brought you here... He was here a minute ago but left to go answer a call. He’ll be back soon. But most importantly, Miss Owen, I have good news for you."
He smiled as Vanessa asked, "Good news? What’s that?"
"Well, congratulations because you are two weeks pregnant." He dropped the bomb as his words took Vanessa by surprise.
Almost in tears, Vanessa didn’t know what to say, but as soon as she heard Rowen’s voice from outside, she quickly said to the doctor, "Please doctor... don’t tell my husband. He mustn’t know... No one must know."
She said, making the doctor confused. Just then, Rowen walked in as he saw Vanessa awake.
Walking towards her with a more peaceful expression, Rowen asked, "Are you alright now? Does your head hurt?"
Nodding, Vanessa said, "Don’t worry. I’m much better now."
Smiling, Rowen faced the doctor. "Is she ready to go now or will she stay in the hospital any further?"
Sweating slightly, the doctor nodded as he stole glances at Vanessa. He was scared for his life he knew who Rowen was and how powerful he was, powerful enough to shut down his hospital.
If he ever found out that such big news was kept from him, it could affect his job.
"W-well... Miss Owen is ready to be discharged. She just needs to make sure she takes care of herself. Eat enough vitamins and avoid anything stressful because it wouldn’t be good for her and the—"
Quickly cutting him off, Vanessa said, "It’s good for my health... don’t worry, Rowen, I’ll take care of myself more."
She said, and Rowen nodded. "Alright, let’s go then... I’ll go bring some clothes for you to change into." He suggested this since she was still in her Almutin dress. For her to be more comfortable, they brought a nice gown for her and then made their way back home.
Vanessa was silent all through the drive. Her mind was literally in havoc.
Was she happy about her pregnancy? Yes, she was, but it really came at the wrong time. She wanted to get her revenge on Erin first before anything else.
If Rowen found out about her being pregnant, he wouldn’t let her even step a foot out of the house.
She remembered how much she was pampered during her first pregnancy. He would treat her like an egg this time around.
She sighed as George and Rowen exchanged glances through the front mirror.
Rowen was sure about one thing Vanessa wasn’t happy at all, but he didn’t know how to ask.
Soon they reached the Quinn mansion, and Vanessa hesitated to step out of the car, worried that Mariam would act crazy again.
Seeing that, Rowen came down from the car as he carried Vanessa in a bridal style, taking her by surprise.
"W-what are you doing? Let me go, I’ll walk myself," she said as her entire face flushed red.
Not minding her, Rowen muttered, "Didn’t you hear the doctor? You shouldn’t stress yourself too much!"
Saying that, he turned and made his way in with Vanessa in his arms.
Upon arriving, the entire mansion was silent... it was already 12 in the morning, so the house was quiet.
Tara was asleep, and the maids had gone home. Stepping out, Mariam stopped in her tracks upon seeing Rowen and Vanessa.
"R-Rowen?" she muttered softly, but Rowen didn’t pay any mind to her as he turned back and went straight upstairs to his bedroom.
Dropping Rowen’s back, George walked towards Mariam, who burst into tears upon seeing him.
"Why are you crying?"
"Didn’t you see how Rowen looked at me? He’s probably angry, and it’s all because of Vanessa. I didn’t even do anything to her and she fainted. She must have faked it."
Mariam frowned as George just sighed. "I know you don’t like Miss Owen, but you shouldn’t have hit her. A few days ago, she had taken a bullet on behalf of the young master."
He said, taking Mariam by surprise. "What?! She did?"
"Hmm... so she has a shoulder injury. She had just returned from her premiere not so long ago, so she must have been stressed. You hitting her must have triggered something."
Before leaving, George then said, "I know you don’t like her, but the fact that she risked her life to save your brother... you should at least respect her for that. Good night!"
Saying that, he turned around and left as Mariam just stood there feeling regret.
