Entering into a black car was Eunice as she frowned upon seeing Erin.

"Why are you frowning? Aren’t you happy I bailed you out.. if I didn’t know Lara and pay such a huge amount of money for compensation do you think you would be out of there... with your family way towards you they wouldn’t care if you spent your whole life in jail."

Erin said as Eunice just pouted, "I’m not angry at you.. instead I’m angry at Vanessa, can you believe she was the one who showed all those things on social media.. she even hit me.. Erin I told you something about her had changed but you didn’t believe me."

Eunice cried out as she yanked his clothes slightly.

"Well no one remains a fool forever.. besides the only reason she’s doing all these to you is because she knows you are sleeping with me.. see it as an art of jealousy, she hates that you stole her man from her."

"B-but..."

"Enough buts. Listen Vanessa may have changed yes! But her feelings for me haven’t changed. That is the most important, so what if she hates you... later when we are done using her, we can do whatever we want to her."

Facing Eunice he then patted her head, "Just be patient, don’t do anything for now and when we are done, you can do anything to her I won’t stop you."

He said as Eunice just nodded resting her head on the car’s window.

There was no way she was going to let Vanessa go. She was already scheming on what evil things she would do to Vanessa.

’You’ll see the consequences of Messing with me Vanessa, just you wait and see.’

Meanwhile, Stepping out from the bathroom was Vanessa as she was wrapped in a white towel, her hair wet and her skin glowing.

Just seated in front of her was Rowen, his eyes completely fixed on her as she totally saw him gulp down hard.

Coughing slightly, Rowen adjusted himself as he then said, "I have some clothes prepared for you.. just wear that and sleep. You need a lot of rest."

He said as Vanessa nodded. With that he stood up to give her some privacy to get dressed and after sometime he came back.

Just then, Vanessa’s phone rang. Upon picking it up, Vanessa was stuck in her phone for quite some time before cutting it and taking a seat.

Curious, Rowen asked, "who called?"

"Umm.. Fiona." She replied.

"Are you and her now so close?"

"Yah! She’s a really supportive friend.. I like her alot." Vanessa smiled.

In her past life she didn’t have many friends afraid that they would try to hurt or betray her. She only kept Eunice as her friend refusing whatever friendship she could have blossomed with anyone else.

Unknown to her that the real devil was Eunice all along.

"Why did she call?"

Sighing, Vanessa replied, "She called to let me know that Eunice has been released from prison."

Vanessa broke the news. She suspected that Rowen would already be aware of Eunice’s arrest since it was all over social media.

Removing his glasses, Rowen asked, "Why does your cousin hate you so much... I thought you both grew up together?" He was curious.

But sincerely, Vanessa even till now didn’t know why Eunice hated her so much.

Eunice’s family were scums. Her mother was her father’s younger sister.

Her mother was an alcoholic addict and her father, he was a gambler. Their family was beyond poor.

He would hurt, bully and maltreat Eunice all day that her father got so angry about it and took Eunice in.

She was only seven years old when she was brought into the Owen family.

Vanessa loved her like a sister and gave her everything she had.

Her clothes, shoes, bags.. she pitied her and helped her as much as she could. They even entered the entertainment industry together.

She was her better half just who knew. Who knew what malicious intentions she had for her all along.

Seeing that She wasn’t responding, Rowen just decided to leave the question.

"Forget about it.. let’s just sleep, I know you’re tired."

Hearing that, Vanessa nodded as she laid down, drifting off to sleep as Rowen laid beside her. His eyes fixated on her and only her.

The next morning came and Rowen left for work leaving Vanessa in Vivian’s hands.

Stepping out of her room, Vanessa made her way downstairs as she was pulled down by the wonderful aroma of someone cooking.

She guessed it must have been Vivian. She was so hungry, she hadn’t eaten since yesterday. Just so the dress could fit she had to stay the whole day without eating.

Almost running into the kitchen, her smile immediately fell upon seeing Mariam.

"Ah.. you’re here.. come, come and eat breakfast!"

Mariam said smiling as she brought into the dinning room a pot full of pasta.

Standing beside her was Vivian who didn’t really care what was going on.

"Why are you the one cooking?" She Asked as Mariam paused slightly.

"Well I just wanted to cook.. after all it’s nice to cook.. Now stop asking any question, come and sit down and eat."

She said as she pulled Vanessa towards the dining table forcing her to eat.

Staring at the food made Vanessa’s stomach cry. She was So hungry but there was no way she was going to eat what Mariam cooked.

"Why aren’t you eating already?" Mariam questioned, annoyed.

"There’s no way I’m eating this.. what if you had placed poison in it.. I don’t want to die.. no no no."

She shakes her head as Mariam frowns walking towards her.

"What do you mean by poison.. yes I hate you but that doesn’t mean I would try to kill you."

"Then tell me the reason for your sudden change of attitude.. if you aren’t planning on killing me then why are you cooking for me?"

"Because I’m trying to apologize!" Mariam shouted.
