Rebirth, Seduce My Ex-husband-Chapter 43: "Marry Me" 1
"Because I want to apologize!" Mariam shouted, her face turning red in embarrassment.
Rolling her eyes, Vanessa scoffed, "I’ve known you for so long.. there’s no day I’ve ever seen you apologize to Anyone so why would you be apologizing to me of all people."
"Yes I know I and your relationship is not that good and even till now I still hate you.. it’s just that I found out what you did for my brother. You saved his life so just see this as my way of apologizing for hitting you yesterday. I’m sorry!"
Saying that, she turned around and went back to the kitchen.
Seeing that, Vanessa felt like laughing but she held it in. Immediately she started eating, she ate until her belly could take no one leaving both Mariam and Vivian in surprise.
They knew well Vanessa wasn’t a foodie and she was an actress who took her diet very seriously.. for her to eat so much wasn’t normal.
Unknown to them she was now eating not just for one but for two and who knew maybe three (◠‿◕).
Sometime later, Tara came in.. all dolled up, she ran towards Vanessa, "Are you ready for school baby?"
Vanessa asked as she Carried her in her arms, "Yes Mama, I can’t wait to come back and spend time with you."
Tara said happily as she kissed Vanessa on the cheek and Vanessa kissed her back.
Placing her down she waved her goodbye and the small girl followed her nanny straight to the car as they drove off.
"Look who’s being all motherly and loving.. totally not the Vanessa I know," Mariam teased as Vanessa just rolled her eyes.
Just a thought flashed across her mind as she immediately looked at Vivian.
"Wait a second, Vivian.. isn’t Tara’s birthday on the 7th.. ?"
Nodding, Vivian replied, "Yes it is.. seems you remembered this time around."
Smiling, Vanessa quickly took her phone checking the death. Today was the 5th, meaning the birthday was just the day after tomorrow.
"Oh my goodness.. we have so much preparation to do.. we have to throw a party, invite people, go shopping.. so much!"
Vanessa panicked. She really had to make this the best birthday Tara has ever had.
She remembered clearly how last year she had forgotten Tara’s birthday. She later found out that because she didn’t attend Tara refused to even come out or cut her cake.
There was no way she would let her experience the same things.. this time she would make her have the best experience ever.
"Calm down Vanessa.. don’t overstress and start doing anything that would stress you. Rowen has already instructed me to make sure you rest all through the day and not do anything stressful."
Vivian warned not wanting Vanessa to stress herself too much.
"Don’t worry Vivian, I’ll help Vanessa plan the party.. since she wants to throw my little niece’s birthday party, I’ll surely help plan things."
Mariam volunteered as Vivian just sighed walking away at this point not caring anymore.
With that Vanessa got to work. Throughout the day she spent it planning out how the party was going to be.
They were going to have a party in the backyard garden. It was big enough and to avoid sun, they would buy a canopy.
**
The day passed by and soon Rowen arrived.
"I’m going to throw Tara a birthday party." She said, smiling like a baby.
Hearing that Rowen was taken by surprise, "You even remembered!"
He said as Vanessa just sighed. ’why the hell was everyone just saying that’s
"Well.. if you need any assistance you can tell me.." Rowen said as he stood up and walked towards his table where he kept his wallet.
Taking out his card, he handed it over to Vanessa, "But whatever you need with this... call me if there’s anything else."
Saying that he made his way to the bathroom as Vanessa collapsed on the bed.
The next morning, she woke up so early as she started the preparation.
The decorations were brought in as all the maids were moving from one place to another.
By noon, the backyard had transformed into something out of a fairy tale. Pink and purple balloons floated around the edges of the garden. Tables were set with cute themed decorations Like unicorns, cupcakes, and tiny crowns.
Vanessa stood in the middle of it all, hands on her hips, admiring the work. "Okay... this is actually coming together."
Mariam stepped beside her, holding a clipboard. "Tomorrow We’ve got the cake arriving at 8am, the magician booked for 1pm, and the bounce house will be here any minute."
Vanessa turned to her, impressed. "You really came through, huh?"
"I said I’d help, didn’t I?" Mariam replied with a proud smile. "Besides, Tara deserves it. She’s been through a lot for a seven-year-old."
Vanessa nodded slowly, her expression softening. "Yeah... she really has, because of me.."
Just then, Vivian rushed out of the house. "The dresses are here!"
Vanessa and Mariam both turned toward her.
"What dresses?" Mariam asked.
"For Tara. And Vanessa. Matching ones. Custom-made. Rowen’s idea."
Vanessa’s eyes widened. "He did what?"
Before she could say more, her phone rang. It was Rowen.
She picked up. "Hello?"
"Hey," his voice came through calm and firm as always. "I hope you’re not stressing yourself too much?"
"Define ’too much,’" she muttered, wiping sweat from her forehead.
"Vanessa."
"Okay, okay, I’m fine. And... Thank you. For the dresses."
There was a pause. Then, "You’re welcome. I’ll be home soon. I also got Tara something special too."
Vanessa smiled slightly. "You’re spoiling her, you know."
"That’s the point, I’ll talk to you later" he said, then hung up.
Soon the day of the party arrived and the entire house was bustling with guests.
Vanessa moved around making sure everyone was well attended.
But just then, the sound of the doorbell rang and upon opening the door she was taken by surprise on who she saw. 𝘧𝑟𝑒𝑒𝘸𝘦𝘣𝑛𝑜𝘷𝑒𝓁.𝘤𝘰𝓂
Standing in front of her was no one other than Erin and beside him Hannah as they both smiled stupidly.
