Reborn as an Yandere : Yandere X Yandere-Chapter 232: Discussion To Misunderstanding!
Chapter 232 - Discussion To Misunderstanding!
"Cassandra...?" Ethan was the first one to whisper her name, his eyes widening a little.
As soon as Violet heard that, she turned and glared at him sharply. "Why do you remember her name so well?" she asked, her voice cold and accusing.
Ethan felt a chill run down his spine. He looked away quickly, scratching the back of his neck, too nervous to answer.
Meanwhile, Sasha, who had been lying on the bed lazily, finally turned her body toward the door, curious about the sudden tension in the room.
Cassandra walked in without saying a word. Her movements were quiet and graceful. She didn't just close the door—she waved her hand slightly, casting a silence spell around the room so that no one outside could hear what they were about to talk about.
Then she walked confidently toward the others and sat down calmly, her long hair flowing behind her.
"I'll provide everything you need to become strong," Cassandra said in a serious tone. "As a member of the Mariette family, I don't have the same restrictions as others."
Everyone in the room stared at her, stunned by her sudden offer.
"But... why are you helping us?" Sylvania asked, narrowing her eyes. "You're not doing this for free, right?"
Sylvania was the daughter of a count and had grown up around politics. She was used to people hiding their true intentions.
Cassandra gave a slow nod. "You're right," she admitted. "But it's not something bad. I saw the potential in all of you. I was planning to talk to Ethan alone first, but it's just a coincidence that you're all here now."
She smiled gently, trying to make her reason sound more friendly and honest.
"In return... I want something from you," she said after a pause. "I want you all to grow stronger. And not just strong—If posible i want at least one of you to reach S Rank."
As soon as she said that, the room fell completely silent. No one even breathed.
S Rank?
That was something they had never even imagined. In the entire Anastasia Kingdom, there were only two S Rank individuals. And right now, only Lortell Mariette held that title.
"B-but why?" Ethan finally asked, breaking the silence. His eyes showed confusion and caution.
Cassandra's expression changed. Her face turned a bit pale, and her hands trembled slightly. She hesitated. But then, taking a deep breath and swallowing hard, she spoke in a low voice.
"I want to build a team... a team strong enough to bring down my elder sister, Lortell," she said. "Whether it's stripping her of her power as Archduke... or even killing her."
Her words hung in the air like thunder.
"What?!"
Everyone looked shocked.
"Wait... isn't that our goal?" Emma suddenly blurted out without thinking.
"You idiot!" Sylvania and Violet shouted at the same time, glaring at her.
"Oops..." Emma quickly bit her lip and looked down. She didn't mean to reveal that. They had secretly made a promise to expose Lortell's crimes one day—but only between themselves. Lortell was powerful and dangerous. If she found out, she could have them all killed without blinking.
They didn't even know if Cassandra could be trusted. What if this was a trap? What if she was actually a spy working for Lortell?
But instead of looking angry or suspicious, Cassandra's eyes lit up with surprise and hope.
"Really?" she said softly, her voice filled with emotion. "You too? I finally found someone who shares the same goal..."
She looked like someone who had been holding a heavy secret for a long time and had finally found someone who understood her.
But then Sasha stood up and brushed off her clothes. "Alright, I'm leaving," she said in a flat voice.
"Wait—you're not joining us?" Cassandra quickly asked, a bit of panic rising in her tone. "Do you need something else? Money? Manpower? I'll give you anything!"
Cassandra looked desperate now. Out of everyone in the room, she wanted Ethan and Sasha the most. She could sense the strong aura in both of them. They had the kind of power that could truly change things.
But Sasha simply shook her head. "I don't need money or essence stones. I already have enough of those," she said with a sigh. "I only came to this academy to understand how humans study and to keep an eye on my troublesome sister. I didn't come here to play politics."
Her voice was calm but firm as she walked toward the door.
"I won't tell anyone what you just said," she added before stepping out, "but don't think I'm on your side either."
The door closed behind her with a soft *click*, leaving a heavy silence in the room.
Outside, Sasha walked down the quiet hallway, her face showing clear irritation.
"Hah... I thought this academy was a place where different races came to learn and grow," she muttered to herself. "But no... instead, it's a place where sisters are trying to kill each other. Humans really are such small, pitiful creatures."
She rolled her eyes and sighed again.
"Speaking of sisters... I told Mei to meet me after class." She scratched her head. "Sigh... that little fool never listens."
----------
Back in Ethan's room, the silence was thick. Everyone was still processing Sasha's words—and the cold way she had walked out.
"Hmph! Why was her tone so rude?!" Emma puffed up her cheeks and crossed her arms. "She acts like she's the strongest person here or something."
Cassandra gave a tired sigh. "You can't blame her... she's not exactly wrong either."
Then Ethan spoke up, his voice low and curious. "But Cassandra... why do you want to expose Lortell? She's your sister, isn't she?"
Cassandra nodded slowly. "Yes. She is. But..." She looked down, her eyes darkening. "My sister is a vampire."
The room froze.
Everyone's eyes went wide with shock. Even though Ethan already knew, he pretended to be just as surprised as the others.
"But that's not the real reason I want to stop her," Cassandra continued, her voice shaking slightly. "She's... she's not right in the head."
Her hands clenched tightly on her lap, and her shoulders trembled. "I don't know how to explain it... but she's dangerous. Very dangerous."
Everyone leaned in, listening closely.
"She talks to these giant dolls in her room like they're alive. She... she enjoys killing people. It's not just that—she tortures them first. Sometimes for fun. Sometimes for no reason at all," Cassandra said, her voice growing more unsteady with every word.
"And she's obsessed with the color black. Once, we were in a restaurant and a waiter made a joke about how black was unlucky. Lortell blew his head off. Just like that. And then... she ordered her guards to kill his whole family."
A cold chill ran through the room.
Sweat appeared on Cassandra's forehead. Her hands were shaking now. Her lips trembled. "You probably think I'm exaggerating. I wish I was. I can't even put into words how terrifying she really is... How do I explain it? How do I—"
But then Violet gently reached out and held Cassandra's hand.
"Calm down. Take a deep breath," she said softly, trying to comfort her.
Cassandra looked at her, stunned for a second, then nodded slowly, breathing in deeply.
Ethan stood up and walked to the nearby shelf. He poured some water into a glass and handed it to her. Cassandra took a few small sips, her hands still shaking, but the cool water helped calm her down a little.
"Thank you..." she whispered.
Then, after a moment of silence, she spoke again.
"I started investigating Lortell on my own. I wanted to find proof. But the more I looked... the darker things became. Did you know... her Third Division group is made up of criminals? People who were sentenced to death, but she saved them... and now they do the kingdom's dirty work in secret."
Everyone gasped.
"She has a huge underground basement... with thousands of slaves working day and night. They refine essence stones for her until they collapse and die from exhaustion."
The room went completely still. Everyone looked horrified.
"I want to build a team," Cassandra said firmly. "I want to expose Lortell. I want to show the world the crimes she has committed."
She looked at each of them, her eyes filled with both fear and determination.
"But how are we going to do that?" Ethan asked quietly. "We don't just need strength... we need evidence too."
"I know this is a very hard task," Cassandra said, her voice calm but firm. "That's why... we all need to get stronger. And maybe... we can even ask my sister-in-law for help."
"Sister-in-law?" everyone repeated at the same time, confused.
Cassandra took another sip of water before saying softly, "Esdeath. My sister married her about a month ago."
There was a stunned silence. Then Emma nearly jumped from her seat. "Wait, what?! Esdeath got married? And... to Lortell?! When did that happen?!"
The others were just as shocked. Their jaws dropped, and their eyes went wide.
Cassandra nodded. "It wasn't advertised. Only a few nobles know. Most of the academy doesn't have a clue."
She looked down at her glass, her fingers tightening around it. "I think Esdeath married Lortell for money... power... maybe even to protect her family. But still, if we approach her carefully, maybe she can help us. She could work as a perfect spy."
Everyone exchanged uncertain glances. The idea sounded dangerous... but possible.
"It could work..." someone whispered.
But then Ethan stood up, his brows furrowed, his voice filled with frustration. "No! We shouldn't trust Esdeath!" His hand balled into a fist. "She's no better than Lortell. She only cares about herself. She's selfish and cold—always doing things for her own benefit!"
But there was hesitation in his voice, a crack in his words that betrayed his true feelings. Even he wasn't sure. Somewhere in his heart, he doubted himself.
No one actually knew if Esdeath was good or evil?
"If that's true," Cassandra said with a half-smile, "then it might actually help us. If we find something she wants... we can use it to make her join us."
Ethan looked down, unsure how to respond.
"I think you're wrong about her," Emma suddenly spoke up, her tone soft but certain. "She saved me from Corin when he lost control. She didn't have to. But she did."
"Yeah," Sylvania added quickly. "And didn't she help us fight Elara's clone? I saw her when we were on our way to find you."
Cassandra clapped her hands together with a spark of hope in her eyes. "Then it's settled! I'll talk to my sister-in-law and see what she says."

Meanwhile, in the academy cafeteria...
Maruti was happily munching on a big plate of grilled meat. Juicy, flavorful pieces disappeared into her mouth one after Another.
"Fighting to death and eating to death... those are life's only joys!"
But just then, a loud and sharp voice pierced her ears like a sword.
"MEI... WHY THE HELL ARE YOU EATING MEAT?!"
She froze.
The meat dropped from her mouth.
She slowly turned her head, and there stood Sasha—her older sister—with fire in her eyes and her arms crossed.
Maruti glanced at the plate full of meat in front of her. Then she looked back at Sasha's angry face. She didn't need to hear more. She already knew what this was about.
Her mind quickly jumped back to a memory—not long ago, when she visited the Vanara tribe with Esdeath. Her family offered 58 different dishes. Spicy, sweet, seasoned with rare herbs... every plate was unique and delicious.
But not a single one had meat.
Because the entire Vanara tribe was vegetarian.
