Upon hearing these words, a flicker of determination lit up in the eyes of many clan members. They were resolved—next time, they would reach the Blood Coagulation Realm and comprehend a martial technique of their own.

Seeing the renewed vigor among the crowd, Chen Xingzhen couldn’t help but smile. Yet, as he recalled the flood of martial techniques that had just surged into his mind, a faint trace of worry crept into his expression. It wasn’t that the techniques were lacking—far from it. They were too advanced.

They began at the Profound Rank level, a standard far beyond what the current family could support. There were only a dozen or so Blood Coagulation Realm martial artists within the clan, and even that realm merely scratched the surface of the requirements to begin grasping Profound Rank techniques.

It felt as if the Divine Tree’s growth had long surpassed that of the Chen family. The clan’s slow progress was lagging behind the tree's rapid evolution.

Profound Rank martial techniques were already a massive leap forward, but what troubled Chen Xingzhen the most was that among the new techniques, there was even one Earth Rank Superior martial art.

Such a technique had never existed in the Chen family—not now, and not even during its golden age. To possess something of that caliber now was like letting a child walk through a bustling market with gold in hand. Even if the family tried to hide it, word would eventually get out. And once it did, it would bring calamity down on their heads.

To the present-day Chen family, this technique was more a curse than a blessing.

Fortunately, the technique was too advanced—none of the clan members should be capable of learning it for now. Based on what the others had said, there was no indication that anyone had identified or named the "Seven Emotions and Six Desires Sword."

With these martial techniques now resting in his mind, as long as he didn’t draw attention to them, there should be no great risk. The other Profound Rank techniques were plentiful, yes, but not enough to put the clan in danger.

By rough count, including the previous Moonlike Frost, the family now possessed four Profound Rank martial arts. Even that already had the clan members struggling to keep up.

Chen Xingzhen found himself torn. Should he pass down these techniques now or set them aside, allowing everyone to focus on truly understanding one of them? After all, mastering one is better than dabbling in many.

Training martial techniques required singular focus above all else.

High above, Ji Yang could naturally sense Chen Xingzhen’s worry. Let him wrestle with it—Ji Yang was, after all, just a tree. Matters of clan development were beyond his purview. But more techniques meant more options. That much was good for them.

The martial arts techniques recently comprehended by the Blood Coagulation Realm cultivators hadn’t been learned through mere observation. Ji Yang had secretly transferred the knowledge to them.

Still, it wasn’t done at random.

While those cultivators were examining the patterns etched into his branches, Ji Yang was evaluating their perception and talent. Once he identified a clan member whose affinity aligned well with the technique they were watching, only then did he bestow it upon them.

In that sense, it was partially tied to their innate gifts.

Though he couldn’t pass down techniques to everyone—he had limits—those who had once received his transmission could still glean insights by examining the martial patterns. When their cultivation caught up in the future and they trained in those techniques again, that early resonance would help them understand it more quickly.

In truth, Ji Yang believed he could even transmit knowledge to those still in the Body Tempering Realm. But even if they learned a Profound Rank martial art, they lacked the internal qi and blood necessary to wield its true power.

In actual combat, it might even be less effective than the basic Taizu Long Fist.

The requirement of the Blood Coagulation Realm, then, wasn’t a barrier—it was a motivator, pushing the clan to strive harder.

As for the Seven Emotions and Six Desires Sword, Ji Yang had only passed it down to two people: Clan Leader Chen Xingzhen, and Chen Qingyu.

There was one more opportunity for transmission remaining. But for now, no one else in the clan was ready—no one could bear that responsibility.

Ji Yang let the matter go. Perhaps he would ask the ancestors tonight.

Chen Xingzhen, after much contemplation, ceased his overthinking and turned his gaze skyward. He knew—without needing confirmation—that the ancestors were watching this moment from the ancestral hall above.

“If only we’d had these martial arts back in the day,” murmured a voice above, unseen by the living. “The clan would’ve grown so much stronger.”

Chen Changming’s sigh carried both nostalgia and regret. In the clan’s prime, they had many martial artists in the Innate Realm, and Profound Rank techniques would have elevated their strength tremendously.

But the clan had never possessed such techniques—not even a decent number of lower-tier ones. The few that had been passed down amounted to no more than two Yellow Rank martial arts.

Beside him, Chen Xingba offered a gentle comfort. “Father, it’s not too late. We might not be able to learn them, but there are others in the clan who can.”

“That’s right, Chief,” another chimed in. “Don’t worry too much. With the Divine Tree here, our clan will only grow stronger.”

Encouraged by these words, Chen Changming and the other ancestral souls offered silent prayers to the Divine Tree.

In response to their devotion, invisible threads of incense-like aura slowly rose above their translucent forms.

Below, Chen Xingzhen lifted his head to gaze at the Divine Tree once more, hesitation flickering in his eyes. The ancestors had always taught him: no matter how miraculous the Divine Tree was, it must be approached with humility, reason, and respect. One should never pray to it carelessly.

But the Divine Tree had already passed down martial arts… Would it be asking too much to request its divine power once more—to help Tianjing and Tianyu break through to the Innate Realm?

Or... should they simply wait?

Ji Yang, observing silently, understood the dilemma well. If anyone else had made such a request, he might have refused outright. After all, his life force needed to be carefully accumulated if he were to grow stronger himself.

But this old man—dutiful, steadfast, and unrelentingly devoted to the clan—left him with no excuse to deny the request. And truthfully, the clan did need more martial artists in the Innate Realm.

As hesitation lingered in Chen Xingzhen’s heart, the branches of the Divine Tree rustled softly overhead.

Then, two locust leaves—half black, half green, with a deep and mysterious luster—drifted slowly down from above.

A glint of gratitude welled in Chen Xingzhen’s usually clouded eyes. Without a word, he motioned for Chen Tianjing and Chen Tianyu to step forward and receive the Divine Tree’s blessing.

When the two leaves landed on their bodies, they melted instantly like snowflakes vanishing in sunlight.

And with that came an explosive surge in their aura.

Both had been at the late stage of the Blood Coagulation Realm. But with the help of those locust leaves, in barely half a breath, they broke through to the threshold of the Innate Realm.

This was not the same as the realm obtained through the Viscera Ascension Technique. While not a complete breakthrough, it allowed them to glimpse the state of the Innate Realm—to feel the essence of it before actually crossing that line.

As they immersed themselves in the sensation, their eyes burned with barely containable excitement.

They had yet to fully step into the Great Circle of the Blood Coagulation Realm, and yet… they had now experienced a glimpse of what lay beyond. The fog on their future path had cleared. No more blind searching, no more wasted effort. They now knew the way forward.
