Reincarnated As A Lion In Another World-Chapter 801: Deadline To Destruction
"What’s happening?" Azeus asked, striking into the clouds in the form of a pillar of orange lightning.
His presence immediately changed the scenery, turning the clouds from clear to stormy a second after his arrival.
The pillar of orange lightning dissipated and materialized into his tall bearded form, hovering above the clouds.
His clothes fluttered harshly in the wind and his hands were balled into fists. Orange electricity crackled from his tail to his arms, a sign that he was powering up and preparing to unleash a devastating strike at any moment.
Azeus’s orange eyes scanned the sky, looking at his colleagues clashing fiercely with the intent to kill.
And Alexander had already joined, that was not good.
With his eyes, Azeus could see that both Jordan and Gabriel were avoiding Alexander, even though Alexander should technically be on Jordan’s side.
Alexander’s powers could not distinguish friend from foe and attacked everyone around him.
Obviously, he would go after Gabriel, but Gabriel was also tangled with Jordan. None of them wanted to get close to Alexander at all.
"Treachery, what else could it be?" Phestus’s voice entered Azeus’s ears.
At the same time, an elegantly dressed man appeared beside Azeus, wearing a familiar well-ironed blue suit fit for nobles.
Phestus looked at the sky, his nonchalant and easy-going attitude was completely fine, replaced by a shocking chilliness as his eyes glowed with a dangerous amount of intelligence.
"How could he?" Azeus asked. He couldn’t imagine having been so close to a traitor.
"Does it matter?" Phestus asked, then directed his attention downward to look at the expanding dome of golden light.
Azeus and Phestus saw the new message on the lion system and looked at each other, both of them sharing the same thoughts.
They were finally going to leave this place. Was this real?
But what was that objective that had been posted with it?
[Objective: Destroy as many enemies as possible with the time remaining...]
There was even a reward file placed under it but the rewards were not set for the individual, they were random.
But rewards were rewards.
Plus, the lions had just received news that they were finally going to break out of their prison.
As they thought of all they would do once they went out, all the lions couldn’t help but start to tremble.
"Protect Kael," Phestus said as he looked away from the golden dome. Even with his powerful gaze, his sight could not pierce the veil of golden essence and laws that surrounded the All-King.
"I’ll head for the bees, that’s the number one priority right now," Phestus added as they prepared to shoot off.
"No, the Cats and other felines should definitely get some too, I’m going to the cats’ place," Azeus said as he prepared himself to leave too.
Phestus frowned, "Wait, if you go, who will protect Kael?" He asked.
"Why don’t you protect Kael?" Azeus frowned and asked.
"I don’t want to miss the action," Phestus folded his hands and explained like it was the most reasonable thing ever, ignoring the loud booms happening everywhere.
"Pfft, and you think I want to miss it? Protect Kael, I’m going to slap some fucking cats!" Azeus did not wait for Phestus to say anything before turning into a beam of orange lightning that streaked away in the direction of the Cats’ territory.
"You!..." Phestus held back to maintain his elegant demeanour.
He was smart enough to know that the All-King was the number one priority right now but he also didn’t want to stay back and babysit.
He looked around, seeing that almost all the lions around were already rushing off into the distance filled with excitement.
Phestus could almost hear the mad cackles of some demonic lions as they followed after Azeus to the Cat’s territory.
They were sure to round up their Vassals on the way there.
Phestus continued looking around and finally spotted the last few people who had not yet gone anywhere.
"Anastasia, Daniella," Phestus called out as he descended to the ground.
The two were still recovering their strengths after what Alexander did to them.
Although Phestus’s eyes lingered on Daniella, he didn’t say anything. The whole Uriel Clan could not be blamed or made responsible for the actions of Gabriel.
"Both of you, watch over the All-King and protect him with your life.
You must live as long as he lives and die to ensure that he lives.
Is that clear?"
Phestus may seem like the most jovial of all the supreme kings but that was subjective, dependent on whom he talked to.
When talking to Daniella and Anastasia, he didn’t appear jovial. Instead, he appeared as an overbearing tyrant who wanted nothing but absolute obedience.
"Yes..." Daniella responded without thinking, still hoping for a way to exonerate herself from the actions of her Clan’s king.
Anastasia did not answer, she raised her head and looked at Phestus. She would have looked into his eyes if not for the last semblance of reason that held her back and warned of the consequences of stupidity.
Phestus did not dally too much, afraid that the others would start without him. He dashed into the sky and headed in the same direction as the Bees’ territory in Original Heaven.
[Mission Announcement From Phestus:
Objective: Kill the bees.
Reward: 1 Clan Candidacy point per bee killed.]
Phestus had his reasons.
He did not forget that the bees were part of the main plan. If he had not sent out this mission, Kael would have sent it.
They definitely had to deal with the bees in Original Heaven before they left if they wanted to have a smooth sail later on.
After all, escaping Original Heaven was the crucial part, but it was also the first part of the grand scheme.
Heeding Phestus’s call, some immortal lions and the few mortals that were starting to catch up started to rush after Phestus.
A lot of the lions were just tagging along for the love of it.
It was also at this time that very unsettling changes began to occur within the golden dome as Kael’s evolution reached its end.
