Reincarnated As A Lion In Another World-Chapter 804: GABRIEL!
[Time remaining till Heavenly Breakout: 20 minutes, 53 seconds.]
Those words flashed erratically in the vision of Alexander, Jordan, and Gabriel all of a sudden.
They had seen the timer since but this was the first time it was suddenly blinking very rapidly as if it was warning.
As they flew through skies and fractured dimensions, a golden light caught their eyes.
*HUMMMM!*
The space vibrated, causing all three of them to stop mid-flight in confusion.
Suddenly, a thick pillar of golden energy shot up from the ground and slammed into the invincible barrier surrounding Original Heaven.
*BOOM!*
A terrifying shockwave blasted from the point of impact, blasting through the furs of the three supreme kings.
Because they were closer to the sky, they could see what was happening more clearly than anyone else.
"He’s doing it..." Alexander muttered, now in his large grey furred lion form as he stared at the membrane above.
Glowing golden cracks stretched from the point of impact, spreading very fast to cover thousands of kilometres in a few seconds.
The sky began to look like a blanket of blue, lined with golden stitches and cracks.
These cracks were not ordinary, they were the manifestation of an error.
The Freedom Formula combined with Kael’s Conquering Essence, was supported by the weight of the newly established Alphaverse.
All that combined was what everyone saw as the golden pillar slamming into the sky.
"He’s really doing it! Hahahahaaaa!" Jordan laughed crazily. The black and red lion turned to Gabriel with killing intent that had not yet reduced at all.
Gabriel was in a very sorry state right now, there was a bloody scar running from the top of his head, over his left eye, and down his cheeks.
His left eye was missing too.
There were a lot more scratches on his body and his glowing wings were no longer as bright as they used to be.
Gabriel looked at the pillar of golden energy interfering with the rules of the Original Heaven, he could also feel the lion system starting to take a strong grip over him, as if it wanted to pull him somewhere.
"This is not right!" Gabriel shouted, his face sometimes alternating between a confused saint and a ferocious killer.
"You didn’t just betray us, you’ve betrayed your whole race!" Alexander declared as he rushed Gabriel from behind.
Seeing this, Jordan’s red eyes widened and he immediately dashed away.
Gabriel also realised the danger and released a powerful wave of celestial energy.
While the celestial energy itself could not be cancelled out by Alexander, he could cancel out Gabriel’s powers if he came close enough.
"Fuck!" Jordan cursed, seeing Gabriel using the chance to run away.
He was both annoyed at Alexander and Gabriel.
"Stay out of the fucking way, Alexander! Let me bite him!" Jordan then blasted his way and bashed into Gabriel from the side.
Their demonic and celestial energy collided and intertwined to form a chaotic mosaic of unholy might.
True to his words, the first thing Jordan did when he made contact with Gabriel was sink his fangs into the latter’s shoulder.
Gabriel roared.
"I am not betraying anyone," He swiped his claws at Jordan’s face, tearing out a sheet of red flesh and fur from the latter’s cheeks and hooking his curved claws with Jordan’s cheekbones to pull him away.
Jordan felt the pain, but he did not let go until he tore out a piece of flesh from Gabriel’s shoulder.
"I was simply trying to rid us of the curse that has plagued us for so long!" Gabriel shouted, then rushed Jordan.
A series of holy slaps and heavy claw strikes hit Jordan. Gabriel was not an inexperienced fighter, he was as deadly as any other supreme immortal.
"What curse?!" Alexander bellowed, charging at them again, obviously not listening to Jordan at all.
"The curse of Conquest!" Gabriel charged a gigantic celestial paw and swiped it at Alexander, attempting to slow him down and prevent him from getting close.
"I thought I was mad, Gabriel. How dare you compete with me!" Jordan flashed by, tearing another piece of Gabriel’s flesh, from his belly this time.
Gabriel was not looking too good, he was outmatched.
"Wait! Hear me out," Gabriel breathed and flew backwards.
Jordan and Alexander, who were coming close for a pincer claw attack, suddenly halted their flight, causing a gust of wind to blow forth.
Gabriel took in a deep breath, thankful that they had stopped.
Little did he know...
*BAM!*
Alexander bashed into Gabriel at this moment all of a sudden. He had only stopped for a split second before resuming his charge.
The result was almost instantaneous. Gabriel started to feel his power seep away.
The longer he was close to Gabriel, the more he would be drained of his powers.
"Stop!" Gabriel roared and bit Alexander’s gray front paw. His fangs easily cut through the grey fur and flesh.
Alexander roared and returned with a devastating bite to Gabriel’s head.
Alexander literally opened his mouth wide enough and just bit the top of Gabriel’s head.
Alexander’s canines pierced through the white and golden fur, cracking the skull with one of the longer canines directly piercing into Gabriel’s eyes.
"Alexander, I’m coming to help you!" Jordan said as he stood still and observed the gory fight between the two with a fiendish smile on his face.
This was how fights with Anti-Lions always turned out, extremely bloody and brutal as everyone would just be forced to use their natural bodily weapons instead of their superpowers.
Jordan watched Gabriel and Alexander tumble down, speeding toward the ground very fast.
*BOOM!*
They hit the ground, causing a massive earthquake that shook the land for trillions of kilometres.
"YOU DON’T UNDERSTAND! WE MUST NOT CONQUER THE UNIVERSE, THERE IS A BETTER WAY!" Gabriel’s indignant roar echoed in the sky.
The dust cleared.
Alexander’s fur was all bloodied, stained by both his and Gabriel’s blood.
He opened his mouth and spat out the eyeball.
In front of him, a blind Gabriel stood up from the ground, stumbling on his steps as he switched to his other enhanced senses to navigate his surroundings.
Gabriel looked like a saintly holy martyr right now. A celestial lion, his angelic wings were broken and dim, the halo above his head was fading, and two tear streaks of blood streamed from his eyes down his cheeks dripping to the ground.
His intentions were probably pure and his mind was holy. His blood was holy, the ground his blood spilled on was holy as well.
The perfect painting of someone sacrificing his life to save everyone.
"The All-King is not wrong, but he is not right either," Gabriel said, still insisting on saying what was on his mind.
Alexander spread his limbs and lowered his body, his mass cracking the rocks beneath his paws.
"Aren’t you tired of being the enemy? There is a Council of Ancient Felines. When was the last time Jordan was invited to any meeting?
The Law of Conquering has put us in too much trouble. You think you are conquering because that is your nature?
No, it’s the freaking curse that Alan brought with his existence and it has been passed down ever since.
Look at us! We’re on the brink of challenging the Highest Will.
The freaking Highest Will Alexander!
Do you know how crazy what we are doing sounds?
Kael is just one hundred years old, and we are following his plan.
What has he seen that we have not seen? What has he seen that I have not seen?
Why is he more qualified to lead the lions than we are?"
"I never took you as the jealous type, Gabriel," Jordan said as he slowly descended from the sky, his glowing red eyes gleaming with red insanity.
Jordan continued, "Even if the Primordial Lion is not as old or as experienced as we are, he is an anchor for all lions.
He alone has brought us closer to leaving this fucking prison than any other person ever has.
And without him, we all will be at the mercy of the Slavery Avatar, if that is not you..."
"And is there anything wrong with that?" Gabriel tilted his head and asked with a melancholic questioning smile. 𝓯𝙧𝓮𝓮𝒘𝓮𝙗𝙣𝒐𝒗𝒆𝓵.𝓬𝓸𝒎
"What is so bad about changing our law? The benefits far outweigh the losses.
Not only will we be exonerated from our crimes, but we shall get a clean slate and avoid extinction for many more years.
We will be able to leave Original Heaven because no one will see us as a threat anymore!"
"Aaaaaaargh!" Alexander looked like he had just heard the most horrendous thing in his entire life.
"You passive mothefucker!" Jordan spat maliciously, "I enjoy being a threat!"
With that, Jordan shot down from the sky, dropping himself on Gabriel and smashing him into the ground.
"Jordan! You’re being unreasonable. Don’t blame me for being ruthless!" Gabriele’s roar shook the ground.
*BAM!*
Jordan’s body shot back into the sky faster than it had dropped, surprising Alexander.
Alexander didn’t think twice before charging at Gabriel who was rising from the ground.
It was to be expected that if Alexander at least got close to Gabriel, he would lose his powers very fast.
That was supposed to be the fate of all lions when faced with an Anti-Lion as strong as Alexander.
But to Alexander’s rising confusion, when he got close to Gabriel, Gabriel did not attempt to move out of the way.
Not only did Gabriel surprisingly not lose his powers, but the very nature of his powers changed entirely in that moment.
From the holy saintly aura he had, what replaced it was a more sinister power than sought absolute control and obedience.
With an annoyed gaze, "Look what you’ve made me do!" Gabriel rushed at Alexander, the two supreme immortals clashed again.
This time, there was a very apparent danger and for the first time in a long time, Alexander felt a sense of danger.
