Reincarnated As A Lion In Another World-Chapter 803: The Simple Straw Mat
The golden dome began to clear out all of a sudden, exposing the decimated land and evaporated part of the lake.
As the golden light faded, Anastasia and Daniella, as well as the few other lions who stayed behind, could see what was happening on the inside.
"My goodness," One of the immortal lions, a blue-skinned humanoid, from Phestus’s clan exclaimed as he got closer.
Suddenly, a red wave of energy rose from the ground, forming a red blade that almost cut his face.
The immortal lion frowned, he looked down, his azure blue eyes emitting a clear desire to throw hands.
Anastasia rose from the ground, "King Phestus himself forbade anyone from getting close to the All-King," She said.
Daniella kept her eyes on the shrinking golden dome but her senses spread wide and far to check for anyone coming close.
Even if Phestus had not told her to protect Kael, she would still do so.
"Hmm," the blue-skinned immortal humanoid relaxed his shoulders, not daring to go against his King’s orders.
One could only wonder what Phestus was thinking when he asked Anastasia and Daniella to protect Kael.
Both of them were mid-level immortals. They were strong but they definitely couldn’t protect Kael if these immortals had any ill intent toward him.
Luckily, it looked like Gabriel was the only odd one and no one else had any intention of attacking Kael.
With the name of Phestus alone and everyone knowing that Anastasia was Jordan’s granddaughter, the immortal lions didn’t dare disobey.
Meanwhile, the golden dome finally cleared, revealing to the world what had become of the All-King.
What they could see was not a majestic beast that had come covered in fine golden fur and a dark golden mane.
What they saw was a bloody and badly wounded frail lion on the brink of death, holding on to dear life with all his might.
Kael’s lion form trembled, his once plump body was now shrunken as if all the life had been sucked out of him. His skin had been peeled off in different places.
His bones were exposed in some areas and it looked like they had been chipped or snapped badly.
His eyes were dull, no longer glowing like they used to.
Such a sorry state.
But those who knew understood that this was a very misleading state, especially during the time of evolution to an immortal.
Most of them were immortals and they had all experienced this. They knew that the first few moments after a successful evolution could also look like failure.
In this case, this was definitely a success.
Why?
Because they could feel the disgusting amount of power building up around Kael even as he looked frail and weak.
His appearance currently did not match what was happening to him, but even that was only temporary.
Anastasia and Daniella who were closer could hear it, the hum.
It was the sound of the fabric of reality vibrating under the stressful tension that Kael’s presence was causing.
A world had been condensed to a single point and placed within Kael, the weight of that world was still there and it was influencing the main world around him.
As the aura rose without any signs of stopping, Kael’s body began to change back.
His inner muscles began to flesh out and regrow. His skin started to mend itself, the flesh came back and his milky form was recovering.
As the skin closed gradually, the fur also began to grow back. At first, each strand came back slightly golden with a little reflective sheen.
Then it began to regain its main golden colour and flattened to create a fine fur pattern all over the All-King’s body.
His dark gold mane returned as well, fuller, thicker, and darker than before.
As his body recovered, Kael flexed his limbs and straightened his pose.
His tail swished behind him, kicking up waves of cloud and dust.
The waters of the lake vibrated. The ground vibrated. The air vibrated.
Everything close to Kael was vibrating except Kael himself.
His aura was still rising, and it was getting deeper and higher faster than ever.
"Step away..." Kael’s deep voice echoed into the minds of all the nearby immortals.
As if they had been controlled by a remote, they all instinctively started to move away from Kael.
The aura he was starting to emit was too deadly not to listen to that question.
Anastasia and Daniella also started to shift away, flying a few meters above the ground but they kept their eyes on Kael.
The aura that came from Kael made their hearts tremble. This was terrifying.
What was Kael doing?
Had he not succeeded?
Or was this still just the beginning?
Kael’s golden lion form recovered to its full glory and didn’t stop there.
When the light from his body became slightly brighter, they could all see that under Kael was a simple straw mat which had somehow survived through all these things.
A simple straw mat that had been baptised with Kael by the power of the universe’s tribulation.
One could only wonder what mysterious properties it had gained now.
Alas, that was the least of anyone’s concern right now.
Kael’s power level was literally rising so fast that it was hitting a critical state. The hum was getting louder and louder.
Loud enough that it was starting to drown out the sound of the three supreme immortals fighting above.
Kael’s eyes burst with the golden light of dominance, spreading its radiance outward and golden glowing cracks lined the sides of his eyes.
The same golden light lit up within his mouth as a dense ball of energy began to build up in his throat.
The more his power level rose, the brighter the ball of golden energy in his mouth became, illuminating his metallic fangs in the process.
And soon, it was so bright that it was almost blinding to the ordinary eye.
Just when it looked like it couldn’t get any brighter, Kael stomped his front paws, raised his head up, and roared to the sky.
A shining pillar of golden energy burst out of his mouth, shooting straight into the sky and dispersing the clouds.
The force cracked the ground, destroying it and pushing away the debris, clearing an empty circular field around Kael.
The pillar beam did not stop until it hit the membrane barrier that rested above the sky of Original Heaven.
And then, the sound of something thick being brutally torn apart was heard by every single being in Original Heaven.
