Reincarnated in the game world ~ A gamer's beginning to [Dungeon job hunting recommendation]-Chapter 648Vol. 11 - - Visit to Beast King Galtaigar — Negotiations Complete!
After returning from the dungeon, I headed straight to the guild house of the A-rank guild, Beast King Galtaigar.
It had been a sudden visit, but since Beast Prince Garze was present, Mimina-senpai kindly guided me inside.
“Beast Prince Garze, here's the «Hedonist Beast Iron Sword», as promised. I am here to deliver it!"
“Whoa! This really is the Hedonist Beast Iron Sword! I can’t believe you accomplished it in mere one month!"
In the center of the hall sat a massive cat-kin, his red mane framed his face like that of a lion. Compared to the smaller, loli-like females such as Karua, this one was built like a warrior—muscular and proud. Among the “cat-kin,” there were small feline types, large lion types, and several variations. He was unmistakably a lion type.
Bearing the resemblance to prideful lion, he was indeed the guildmaster of «Beast King Galtiger», the Beast Prince, and the one with whom my negotiations had been ongoing. Technically, he wasn't prince per se; the nickname came from being the biological son of the guild’s founder.
Garze raised the Hedonist Beast Iron Sword I handed him and examined it with shining eyes. 𝗳𝗿𝐞𝕖𝘄𝗲𝕓𝗻𝚘𝚟𝕖𝐥.𝚌𝕠𝕞
“Gar, this is «I know it-kun» with «Appraisal Level 7.»”
“Good work, Mimina. There’s really no need to verify it, but rules are rules. Let’s appraise it.”
“Of course. I am aware.”
“......Alright. No doubt about it. I’ve confirmed it. This is the real Hedonist Beast Iron Sword!”
Standing behind him was Mimina-senpai; she hailed from the same hometown as Karua. She was also the coordinator to deal with the guild situation Karua had caused. We've been kind of acquaintances since then.
Mimina-senpai handed him the magnifying glass-shaped appraisal tool, "I know it-kun,” which enhanced appraisal abilities. After Garze used it, he declared the sword authentic.
“With this, I believe the «White Throne» now officially belongs to Eden?”
“Of course. A mercenary’s life depends on trust. Keeping one’s word is absolute law. From now on, the White Throne is Eden’s.”
Garze nodded, a satisfied smile forming on his lips. With that, the negotiations were complete—the White Throne officially belonged to Eden.
In this world, mercenaries were specialists in dungeon searcher. They weren't conquerors, but one that were expert in searching dungeon stuff. If that's hard to figure it out, then imagine them as the «Rescue Committee» counterpart for the dungeons beyond academy's bound.
When explorers became incapacitated, mercenaries rescued them swiftly and safely returned them to the surface. They were professionals of both exploration and rescue, and they also handled dungeon patrols and security.
That was why guilds like Beast King Galtaiga existed—to unite mercenaries, encourage collaboration, and refine their collective strength.
Garze’s father, the original guild master, was indeed an impressive man.
“Well, that wraps up this business. So, Zephyr, how are your preparations going?”
From the flow, it didn't seem like any question about «Sloth» was to be entertained. Judging from the context of the negotiations—bring it to me before I graduate—it would probably be used on the new students starting next year. Hehe, I made a mental note to remember that.
Beast Prince Garze, however, seemed far more interested in tomorrow’s duel with «Temple Saber.»
“You’ll understand once you see the arena tomorrow.”
“What a dramatic line. And—woah, nothing has been served. Mimina, bring out our best tea for Zephyr.”
“I was expecting you to say that.”
“As always, you’re as sharp as ever.”
“I wasn’t planning to stay long, so really, it’s fine.”
“Now, now, don’t be modest. You just traded us a priceless piece of equipment. Not offering tea would be an insult to Beast King Galtaiger’s name.”
“Such words, and yet you had forgotten about tea until now, Gar.”
“I leave that to others.”
“Convenient words.”
“That’s the privilege of the guild master! Hahaha!”
The atmosphere between them was light and cheerful. Mimina-senpai crossed her arms beside Garze, giving him a slightly stern glare. Oh, I know she's definitely a reliable sub-master.
I had only recently learned that she held that position, but it made sense. She had always been the one handling serious matters, especially when Karua caused the blunder.
After some light conversation, it was getting late, and I still needed to recover the Flute I’d used earlier. I stood to leave, but before I could, Garze spoke again.
“Thank you, Zephyr. I am really glad you managed to bring that sword.”
When I turned, his cheerful demeanor had shifted to a solemn one.
"Come now, we don't have to be so formal. Besides, we have acquired an equally valuable item. As they say, I scratch your back, and you mine."
Well, it seemed the sword held a significance greater to him than I had expected. He must have been constantly in search of it.
Still, we had received a valuable deal ourselves. He was also quite generous to allow us to put White Throne as a wager beforehand. If anything, I appreciated his efforts much more.
“Also, I might need your help again next year,” Garze added. “I’ll come to you when the time comes.”
“Sure so. If you ever need anything, just say the word. Let’s trade again sometime, Beast Prince Garze.”
Next year, huh? With the two heavyweights graduation, the guild would surely be in need of help. Had he meant regarding that, or he simply had another request to make? Whatever it may be, I mentally jotted it down, along with the curious observation that he specifically asked me, not the other guilds.
“Ah, and Zephyr—stop calling me ‘Beast Prince Garze.’”
“Ah, well, I guess I just never got around to changing it.”
It was true. From the very beginning, I had called him *Beast Prince Garze* and somehow it stuck. I didn't particularly care about changing it, but decided to give it a try.
"Very well, then how about—Garze-senpai? Feel free to contact me for any request."
"Hmm, and you, too. Drop by anytime, not just when there's an errand to run. The guild's always open to you."
With that as send off, I backtracked the route I had charted on my way to here. The final preparation was done as well. Tomorrow, the long-awaited Duel would finally open its curtain!
I should sleep early, and recharge my energy!
