Reincarnated into a Doomed Novel as an Unknown Extra-Chapter 159 - 2 Months
"Attention!" Butto clapped as he said: "There won’t be anymore classes starting from today. You have learned everything for this semester, so everything else will depend on your efforts."
The students smiled brightly, but before they could shout happily, Butto continued:
"Don’t celebrate now! Your first exam will be tomorrow, and it’s the combat exam! Talk to the class rep for more details."
Before anyone could say anything, Butto disappeared.
I looked at the last place he stood in, then at Liora who was now surrounded by students.
’Is that all?’
Did he really make us come here to say that? Couldn’t he have just sent us a message on our bracelets?!
That fucking—
"We still have some time before your private lesson. Will you try to break through now?" Selene asked curiously, cutting my inner thoughts off.
Somehow, Zephyr seemed to have heard us as he approached us and shouted: "Break what?! You too? How the fuck?!"
I shrugged. "My business becomes better the more I improve. I’m basically rich. Now, can you move away? I hate the smell of the poor."
Zephyr stood still in his place as if not affected by my taunt, but he probably forgot about my spatial awareness and strong hearing. I could sense and hear him gritting his teeth!
’You deserve it for being a training maniac!’
I walked with Selene to our suite while thinking about the past 2 months.
A lot of things happened in the past 2 months. Some were interesting, others were just useless events.
Like how Zephyr kept losing against Arthur, that was highly expected. What was the result now? 66-0!
Yeah, I counted them all. I didn’t miss a single day without bullying Zephyr for that.
Arthur likely had an ability regarding his emotions. That guy would always get a sudden boost whenever he was close to losing. Now that I knew this world wasn’t really a novel, I couldn’t keep calling that plot armor.
One of the important things that happened was my own growth. I could confidently say that I was basically overpowered!
Lunara’s lessons were indeed productive regarding space affinity, and the books in the library helped me to improve my other affinities as well.
How much did I improve?
Ignore under the clothes. I could literally sense the bones! Every small movement of muscles and bones was visible to my spatial awareness.
Adding that to my already extraordinary senses, I was sure that no ordinary method could fool my senses.
Of course, there were extraordinary methods. Lunara’s space manipulation, Kyle’s illusions, and Yami’s soul techniques could all fool my senses, unfortunately.
Even Aria was able to make a trick with her divine affinity to stop me from sensing the light. I still had too much to learn.
Another improvement for me was my innate ability as a vampire — blood manipulation.
I could now manipulate my blood as easily as I breathed — though I didn’t really need to breathe. In fact, I was now manipulating my blood as a part of my daily practice.
It was really nice to have a family of vampires teaching you.
Plus, my skills with runes and cooking had improved significantly, and all the money I was receiving proved that. I was supposed to be so rich now, but a few things stopped me from living that dream.
I could have become a Tier-4 Exalted a few weeks ago, my business was doing better than I expected, but because of that motherfu— that bastard Glutton, I was barely feeding myself.
Unfortunately, the final result was truly satisfying, so I couldn’t complain about that. He was now so strong that when he fought Zephyr, he only lost because of how powerful the eclipse affinity was.
Even the cosmic flames couldn’t harm Zephyr. The only way to defeat him was in a face-to-face fight, which he was experienced in after losing many times to Arthur.
Lastly, I told Kyle about my wish. He was generous enough to show me his artifacts and let me choose one. I made my choice specifically for the next exam.
Anything to increase my chances of survival was welcome, of course.
That was everything for my growth in the past 2 months, but I wasn’t the only one that improved.
Although Liora still couldn’t use her illusions on me, she improved significantly as she started learning how to cast physical illusions.
The reason was simple — Kyle Lunaris suddenly decided to take her as his student, just as Lunara was teaching me personally.
It was really hard to resist the urge to tell him that he was teaching a demon. Maybe someday he would know.
All the other people I knew also improved in their own ways, but two of them stole all the spotlight.
Those two were the ones who had already reached Tier-4.
The first was Limitless. He was selling great artifacts that were from different affinities. He might be the richest first year student.
The second was obviously Arthur. While he was busy in the forest completing missions, Elara was working in her store to sell as many artifacts as possible to help him.
She sacrificed her own growth to help him reach Tier-4. Obviously, that wasn’t supposed to happen, as Liora said she died at the banquet in her version of the future.
And now, I was going to be the third to become Tier-4. In other words, for a limited time, I’d become stronger than Selene and Zephyr!
If not for that damn exam, I’d have kept bullying him for the entire year.
As we moved out of the training grounds, I immediately took Selene’s hand and teleported to a store to buy some cores, then we teleported to the tower.
There were no gates here, only pure teleportation similar to blink. It was a small spell I had learned from Lunara. But unlike her, I couldn’t teleport people from a distance — I needed direct contact. Additionally, it was harder to use than a gate, but it was faster at least.
A few minutes later, Selene and I entered our suite, hearing Kyle’s voice the moment I went inside.
’Welcome home, my—’
I cut him off instantly. "I’ll take my leave now. It shouldn’t take a long time."
I was already tired of that bastard. I always felt his gaze fixed on me whenever I tried to sleep. Knowing how professional he was in illusions, I was sure he made his gaze noticeable intentionally!
As I teleported to the training room and closed the door, I sat in a lotus position and took all the cores I bought out.
It was time to reach the next tier.
