Reincarnated into a Doomed Novel as an Unknown Extra-Chapter 158: Knowledge
’Now, let’s sort everything I have heard so far.’
So basically, Liora wasn’t from Earth, that was why she didn’t recognize the food I made.
In the novel she read, Arthur got corrupted after many different events, causing him to become an evil Origin which was obviously the Origin of Order.
The hero and the one who tried to stop him was Adrian, who apparently was the demon king in my version of the novel, but in Liora’s version, he was only a knull prince who wanted to unite the world.
According to her, she died only one hour after reading the ending, and ended up in this new body.
"And you are telling me, you were killed by Zephyr at the banquet?" I asked Liora, and she gave me a nod.
"The owner of this body had a hidden identity. Her mission was to simply kill Zephyr. Obviously, she was the one who died."
So I really wasn’t the one who solved the banquet’s incident, but her. She was one of the attackers, and to survive, she betrayed the knulls.
The banquet incident was simply the knulls trying to kill the Children of Fate — though it wasn’t mentioned like that in the novel she read — and to do that, they had to do something regarding Lunara, who was a Child of Fate herself. They really had a way to seal her, but Liora stopped it.
That way, she saved herself and Elara from their doomed fates. At the same time, Arthur didn’t end up crashing out after seeing his sister dying.
Her current plan was to either support Adrian or keep Arthur sane from the next incidents. That was all she said.
She didn’t talk about what she did before the academy and didn’t even give a hint about how she destroyed the knulls plan.
Also, she met Isaac and refused his offer by shattering the dream, but even for that, she didn’t tell me how, only saying that she had a good artifact for that.
I could understand that she couldn’t trust me, just like how I didn’t trust her. Both of us had our own secrets.
As for me, I also hid a few small things that definitely wouldn’t affect her in any way.
I didn’t tell her that I didn’t read the novel.
I only said that I refused Isaac’s offer, and told her the secrets that he told me about, which unfortunately she confirmed most of them to be true.
And lastly, I told her that my current future knowledge was completely useless, so she wouldn’t ask me about the future. How did I tell her that bullshit?
Liora looked at me with glowing eyes and asked: "Was that why you are friends with Zephyr and Selene?"
I smiled. "Yes, and you don’t have to worry about these two anymore, I’m doing my best to keep them kind, though Zephyr is causing me troubles for obvious reasons."
Yeah, I said the first bit of bullshit that came to mind.
She was now thinking that I read another potential future about Selene and Zephyr, and that I already ruined that future to stop Zephyr from killing everyone and becoming a tyrant.
’I don’t know how I made up all that, but I’m a genius!’
Smiling, I cleared my throat and asked: "I’m doing a great job on my part, as you can see, so I’m willing to help you with Adrian and Arthur whenever you want. Just tell me about those future incidents so we can solve them together."
Liora lowered her head and tapped the ground with her leg, seemingly hesitating to tell me about that information, but I waited patiently for her.
She obviously realized that my story had many plot holes, but as a person with a similar story herself, she would think that I was just hiding something, not completely clueless about the entire novel.
"The exams..." Liora finally muttered as she exhaled, "The next accident will be in the combat exam. But remember, the future may not be the same, so you better not rely on what I’m going to say."
’Hell yeah!’
I nodded calmly while hiding my excitement, listening to what was going to happen in the combat exam after 2 months.
But while hearing her, my excitement disappeared.
’Glutton, I think we should just inform a trusted adult.’
[Lunara?]
’I said a fucking trusted!’
What I was hearing wasn’t good at all!
When Liora finished talking, saying that there was nothing more to say, I finally thanked her and left, returning to my suite with many different thoughts.
So basically, other than the knowledge about Children of Fate and the chosen ones, everything else Isaac said was probably true.
There was a probability that Liora was on his side and kept lying, but it was too low, honestly.
And now, there was a big incident about to happen after 2 months! Even if I decided not to care about the war and Origins, that incident would affect me anyway.
’I think there is only one thing I can do for now.’
I had to get stronger quickly before the incident. I needed to have Yami make Glutton’s sword, reach Tier-4 quickly, learn all I could from Lunara, and think about my wish before the time of the incident.
’I really hate all this.’
I sighed and decided to train with Glutton, but as I was going to teleport, 2 familiar figures opened the suite’s door and entered.
’Selene and... Kyle?’ I frowned as I sensed Kyle entering the suite with Selene, a wide smile on his face.
But for some reason, his body was shown in the space as only thick water. Was he a clone?
Remembering his power in the combat test, I became certain it was just a clone, but why would he send a clone here?
I waited patiently as they finally entered the bedroom. Once Selene saw my face, her smile widened, but the man behind her didn’t seem to be as happy to see the one who saved his daughter.
"Raylin Bloodborne, I think it’s the first time we finally see each other face-to-face." Kyle gave me a smile that didn’t reach his eyes and extended his hand.
Instead of shaking hands with him, I wore an expressionless face and said: "Face-to-face? I didn’t know you are 100% made of water."
Kyle and Selene’s eyes widened instantly. Selene looked at her father in confusion, then Kyle chuckled. "The principal taught you well this week."
The next moment, I started seeing him like a normal human. My eyes squinted for a moment before understanding what he did.
"Illusion?"
Kyle nodded before disappearing into thin air, then I heard his voice again as he said: "Just for some safety, this clone will stay here, just in case another attack happens. But don’t worry, I won’t interrupt your lives unless something happens or if you call me yourself."
Selene smiled brightly. "I understand now. Thank you for your concern, Dad!"
"Hahaha, anything for my little princess."
I watched silently as they continued talking, almost forgetting my own existence in the same room.
It didn’t need a genius to know he was here because of me, but I couldn’t blame him to be honest. If I was in his shoes and didn’t know that I wasn’t a bad person, I wouldn’t have liked the idea of my innocent daughter sleeping beside a man.
But despite my understanding, I didn’t like the idea of the master of illusions living with me. He was still a potential threat, and I had many secrets that I needed to keep hidden.
’Glutton, I don’t think you can move freely anymore, not even in the training room. You should always stay as a raven from now on.’
[What?!]
I sighed and teleported into the bed, closing my eyes as I started sleeping.
’The next 2 months will be chaotic.’
A/N: Yo, I’m alive.
