Reincarnation Of The Strongest Spirit Master-Chapter 1367: The Metallic Monstrosity Concept
"What do you plan to do with this?" She didn’t comply like usual; instead, she grabbed a rock and held it in front of his eyes.
"Why are you always this impatient? You know you’ll get to know everything if you just wait long enough!" he rolled his eyes, while feeling tired of her childish attitude.
Every time he did something, she would hurriedly ask tons of questions about it. At first, he didn’t mind that, yet her attitude began to be a burden and a headache.
"It’s a Pre-Mithril, you can’t expect me to stay silent about it!" She returned to look at the rock she held in her hand and started to drool over it, "Can I get some later?"
"You can keep this one if you want," William shrugged, "but that’s the most you’ll get from me!"
"Thanks," she laughed like a girl who had a new dress for her birthday, "now..."
"Now it’s time for you to leave," William pushed her away, "let me work in peace, please!"
"You didn’t even thank me for saving your life, what a cold-hearted bastard you are!" she puffed her cheeks, complaining about how he treated her.
"What do you think that rock was for?!" William blinked twice while showing the most innocent look on his face.
"Still not enough, it’s far from enough!"
"It’s more than enough, come on, go back there and watch in silence," he kept pushing her, and she laughed over his words and actions. Yet she didn’t act stubborn, moved away as he wanted.
"The first trial was a success, time to go all out on this," as he got rid of the nuisance she was, he started to work again on making more Pre-Mithril.
Learning from his first attempt, he cut down the number of weapons thrown at the oven to half. It wasn’t just to avoid depleting his spirit power as it had happened before, but to save more weapons from getting lost!
What Becky missed in the first attempt was the fate of the leftover melted liquid in the oven. When William used the Retrace technique, he had to go through it till the very end. If he stopped midway, like how it happened at the first attempt, then the leftover liquid would evaporate!
The melted weapons that were left in the oven were lost. This was one of the many risks involved in using this technique. And William knew exactly the reason behind it.
The Retrace technique wasn’t simple. It worked by breaking down the weapons to the atomic level. If William didn’t keep his spirit power running to guide the atoms in the mix, separating those similar ones and gathering them together, then the atoms would eventually be lost in the world, breaking down into the most primitive and simple form of power: spirit power!
To avoid this loss again, William had to know what his limit was. He cut the number of weapons in half and started working his magic over them.
This time, he ended up turning the entire liquid into Pre-Mithril ores. At the same time, he still had enough spirit power to let him walk normally back to the formation and recharge what he had lost.
"Tsk! He turned all the liquid into ores; there is nothing left behind this time." From afar, Becky mulled over this, "Then how about what happened before? Won’t I know what happened to the leftovers?!"
She was right in her thoughts, as William was satisfied with the work speed and efficiency he got and didn’t change the number of weapons he placed in the oven ever again.
He kept repeating this process for many hours and didn’t stop until he finished handling all the piles he took out. He didn’t take all the weapons gained from the upper realm. After all, he was well aware he wouldn’t get such high-quality weapons easily again. 𝓯𝓻𝓮𝙚𝙬𝓮𝙗𝒏𝙤𝒗𝙚𝙡.𝒄𝒐𝓶
He just took one tenth of what he had, leaving the rest to be used later for his guild masters. In the upcoming war, he needed every single item that could give his side an edge and advantage over his enemies. And these weapons would come to serve such a purpose perfectly.
"Now what?" as she spotted him stop, Becky hurriedly dashed towards him, "What are you going to do?"
"Can’t you just be patient?"
"Can’t you answer my questions by others?" Becky crossed her arms, giving William the impression she wouldn’t stop until she got what she wanted out of him.
"Sigh! Ok, let me ask you this then, have you ever heard of the metallic monstrosity concept before?"
"What? You... You are doing that?!!" Her eyes went wide when she heard what he said. "But..."
"Stop harassing me, can you?" William rolled his eyes while emptying the large stacks of Pre-Mithril ores inside the area covered by the spirit power concentrating formation.
"..." She stopped what she wanted to say. She was quite familiar with such concepts; many formidable masters in the upper realm were actually. Yet she knew that for a master to pull such a feat, he needed to learn lots of things; alchemy, forging, runes, formations, mechanicalism, and other stuff were required!
Even if she was familiar with the concept, she knew she didn’t have what it took to do it! In the entire upper realm, there were a handful of grandmasters who could do it, and they were widely known and accepted as grand figures in the upper realm.
She stood in her place motionless, not believing what William had dared to say minutes ago. Despite the urge to shout at him or try to make him return to his senses, she didn’t do or say anything.
She recalled all the crazy feats William pulled in front of her eyes since she first met him. Just seeing the huge piles of Pre-Mithril ores around him made her suck a cold breath of air.
"Can he... Can he really do it?!!!" She couldn’t bring herself to believe this could happen. After all, he was a master from a lower realm, and this type of advanced knowledge would never be here in such a low world!
