Chapter 1369: Forging Using the Pre-Mithril Rocks

"If the Pre-Mithril can’t be melted, then how do you plan to use them to build the monsters?" She couldn’t get this point no matter how hard she thought about it. And yet William simply ignored her question, and started to throw the ores into the ovens to melt.

He put ores from the same piles into the oven, and at some point he had all the ovens filled with ores with more piles left untouched.

"I’ll need your help to cleanse the ores, use these techniques in the same order I’ll say..." he started to mention ten different forging techniques. Luckily for her they were all simple techniques that she knew, and she started to work as he instructed.

"Do you need more ovens?" she asked when she saw him taking back the ores she cleansed back to the ovens he took them from, "I have more if you want."

"Thanks, but these will do, for now," William didn’t want to distract himself by needless work. Instead, as she was cleansing the ores, he started to work over other stuff.

She saw him take the Pre-Mithril rocks, took out a brush and ink, then started to inscribe runes over them. Every Pre-Mithril rock had many uneven facets, and he simply wrote over all the facets, not missing one no matter how small it was!

She kept her spirit sense glued over what he was doing. She didn’t know the language he was using, yet she memorised everything he did. She knew if she asked him now she wouldn’t get any answer. So she decided to wait for the right moment, and perhaps prepare something he wanted in return for teaching her this language.

She didn’t know why but she felt like this language was one of the missing ancient languages in the upper realm. At this point, she was eyeing William as an old monster, one who knew all the secrets from the upper realm.

William took an entire day, during which he finished writing over all the Pre-Mithril. He left behind ten rocks, which he threw at Becky, "this is your reward, cherish them well!"

"I will!" she finally cracked a big smile over her face while checking the rocks she got, "do you need something else? I can help with anything you need..."

"There is nothing else you can do to get more rocks," he gave her a meaningful smile, "you need to learn how to control human greed sometimes!"

"Stingy bastard!" she puffed her cheeks, before returning to check the rocks she gained with a big smile once more.

"For the record, these include the help you’ll provide till I finish my work here," he added this extra point, and this was her turn to ignore him.

"Time to start wrapping things up," as he finished making runes out of the Pre-Mithril rocks, it was time for him to start making the monsters.

Realising this, Becky stored away the rocks in a ring that she placed a tight protection over. Then she fully focused all her spirit sense over what William was doing. And soon enough, she couldn’t help but suck a cold breath of air from what she spotted!

The cleansed melted ores were left in the ovens, while the intense fire and heat kept them in a liquid state. William took out a tray, and started to fill it with different liquids from the ovens. He made sure to not mix any together, and that forced him to take just a small amount from every ore.

Then he grabbed a few runes, and placed them over the melted ores. He wasn’t just throwing them in the molten ores, but letting one side get in touch with one melted ores. When he would take the rock out, he would leave behind a long trail of liquid, one he would cut using a special pair of scissors.

Becky felt like he was a kid playing with these, and yet she could tell he was doing this on purpose. Soon enough, William had enough rocks that were covered with different hot ores, and then he began placing these rocks against each other.

"He is using the ores as a glue to stick the rocks together..." out of her surprise, she couldn’t help but mutter in immense shock, "he can’t be doing this without an order, what a complicated way to do it!"

She never heard of the right way to build the mechanical monsters, yet she could tell what William was doing was way higher and advanced than what others could do. He was indeed using the most sophisticated and advanced way to build the monsters, making the best use of all the materials and environment he had right now.

After sticking a few rocks together, he left them over an anvil, before mixing what was left of the melted ores together, before pouring the mix and covering the rocks entirely with them.

In the end, he took a hammer, and started shaping the piece he crafted. It was big enough for him to handle using his human form, so he changed into his fox shape, and used his tails to help.

In the end, he left behind a cube shaped item, one that was half metre in length, width, and height. Becky glared at this cube, with different colours appearing all over its surface, feeling she just witnessed a huge secret outplayed in front of her eyes!

As William continued to work over more rocks, making more pieces with different shapes, she realised something. "No matter how I tried, I would never be able to replicate any of what he is doing here!" she finally admitted this, and yet she never stopped following his actions.

After half a day, William finally exhausted all the melted ores he prepared before. The end result was for producing tens of different sized and shaped pieces, ones that were all formed of many rocks, stuck together and covered up by different melted ores.

There were rods, balls, cubes, rectangles, and even spike shaped pieces! The smallest piece was twenty centimetres in length, and the biggest was three metres tall!
