Chapter 1371: The Mechanical Parts

"..." She paused in what she was doing, blinked twice as she realised he was right, "then..."

"I think you’ll learn one more secret technique when I finish this step," William laughed in amusement, and even if she got annoyed by what he said, she still admitted he was right, again!

She had learnt a lot so far from him. Even if she couldn’t replicate many things he did, she still learnt a ton! She decided that when she got back to the upper realm, she would start an extensive training session, attempting to fill the gaps in what she saw, trying her best to complete a few of the secret techniques he used.

She didn’t realise it at first, but when he said these words, she finally understood something. William could easily shut himself in and work alone over all this. And yet he invited her to come with him, even left her to watch from the side.

She felt like he wanted her to learn these techniques, and she didn’t know why. "Are you trying to be my master or what?!" When her mind couldn’t grasp his real intentions, she tried to preach over this point, masking what she said with a laugh.

"I wanted you to learn these techniques, but not to be your master," William softly said, then, when she thought he would follow his words by revealing the real reason, he didn’t!

She turned to look at him, only to notice he was lost in his thoughts. William recalled lots of his old memories, which he stood by the side like how Becky did, and his master was the one executing all these techniques. 𝘧𝓇𝑒𝑒𝑤ℯ𝑏𝓃𝘰𝑣ℯ𝘭.𝘤ℴ𝘮

William did what Becky intended to do later on: he went on his own, did more research on these techniques, filled the gaps left by his master, and even perfected a few techniques on his own!

He wanted Becky to do the same, yet he wanted her to do this with the help of his master. William knew his master wasn’t that formidable at the upper realm right now. In fact, if his calculations were right, then his master would have drifted far away from the grand mission at this moment.

William wanted to help his master, help her using Becky’s help. He wanted to save lots of time his master would waste in the following years, swaying between lots of useless missions, saving her lots of troubles and tons of sacrifices!

So William wanted Becky to stand by the side and watch, wanted to arouse her curiosity towards all these techniques, and even teach her the most essential basics!

Becky never guessed any of that. Yet she could easily tell William wasn’t the type to act generously without a very proper reason. Realising that it wasn’t yet the time for him to reveal all his cards to her, she decided to stick to silence and watch from the side, while doing her best not to miss a single speck of what he was doing.

She watched him make lots of moulds before he produced lots of stuff. William made pieces that could perfectly form an outer covering for the monsters. And yet there were still lots of pieces that were puzzling for her.

These pieces were different in size, and mostly small rather than large. They took shapes she never imagined before, and weirdly, after he made them, he started to assemble these small pieces.

"They look like... Damn! Is this the legendary Mechanic Parts?!!" As William kept putting pieces together, she noticed they perfectly fit each other. When he finished assembling a single part, she could easily tell it was flexible, able to produce an action, one that looked like how bows used to launch the arrows.

Yet they weren’t bows; they were far more complicated than any advanced bow she had ever witnessed or heard of. Watching what William was doing made her recall a legendary tale, about a special branch in forging, one that was rumoured to use lots of weapons at the same time with a single piece.

It was known as the Mechanic Parts, one that she knew never existed in the upper realm, or at least no one ever saw or made them before!

"He was right, he is using another technique that I never imagined existed!!" She stood by the side, feeling more speechless the more William worked.

After assembling the first mechanical part, William didn’t hurry to make others. Instead, he slowly took numerous weapons, including swords, spears, pikes, and even large hammers. Then, as she watched, he began to add these weapons to the part he had assembled.

At first, she thought he took too many weapons to fit into that part. Even if it was around one metre in length, half in diameter, she couldn’t believe the cylinder-looking part would take all the weapons he took out.

Yet when she watched him work and attach the weapons to that part, she realised how she had underestimated what he crafted.

The part he assembled took all the weapons he prepared for it, and he even took a few more out. Even if that part looked very ugly and weird looking at the end, it managed to hold a lot of weapons he took out!

"This..." Seeing that one part held all these weapons at the same time made her suck in a cold breath of air, "This part alone can match an army of a hundred masters, or even more!"

She couldn’t imagine the true might of the monster was building, yet just from the part he finished making, she was sure it was far stronger than her wildest imagination!

She was terribly wrong again in her guesses. The monster William made was on a far higher level than what she could dream of! These monsters were built using the legendary Pre-Mithril as the skeleton, using high-grade ores from the upper realm as the outer coat, and tons of weapons augmented by mechanic knowledge from the upper realm!
